“We had a joyous birthday celebration at my son’s favorite restaurant. Akanomi’s staff and sushi chefs, itamae, excelled at all endeavors. Vivan was spot on with her suggestions and service. She anticipated all of our needs, especially with our children. The chicken soba soup, tuna carpaccio and Hawaii Rolls were our favorites. Then the sashimi / sushi mixed roll party docked. It was stunning in presentation, offerings and taste. Oh my, it was very impressive. A most wonderful time was had by all.”

We hope this small business is supported and stays with us for a long time, they deserve it. We popped in this morning for some bagels and coffee. As expected the bagels and fresh cream cheese were absolutely delicious and they had a great variety. One of my biggest flaws is how picky I am about coffee so typically I don’t even attempt to order it when we go out, but today I tried their banana nut latte. Seriously, it was the best coffee I’ve ever ordered! I can’t shut up about it and I can’t wait to to get another tomorrow morning. Definitely take the risk and order yourself a fancy coffee next time you are in the area. Wishing the Cullens crew nothing but the best- thank you!”

The kids love seeing the animals, and there’s plenty of seating, including a cozy fire pit to relax by. Apple picking is a blast, and you can even pick fresh raspberries when they’re in season.

“Volunteered at a wonderful event for Petey's Legacy, a local pitbull rescue. Many other rescues were in attendence, there was live music, and a performance from Hedlawitches! De Fazios was serving up their amazing pizza, and the outdoor taproom was open as well, serving hard ciders, beers, and a specialty drink as well as a specialty pup cup! A perfect first day of November!”

“First time visiting Bamboo Garden, the young lady behind the counter was sweet and friendly. My son ordered crab rangoons and he says they are the biggest he has ever seen!! “They’ve been in Altamont for a very long time and owners frequently change and so does there food. They hadn’t been good for many years, but owners have changed again and there pizza is really good. I honestly prefer it over most pizza in Albany.”

“We had our book club here and it was fantastic. The upstairs room is so beautiful and stylish. The food was DELICIOUS and very unique. Highly recommend the biscuit flight and whipped ricotta.
