“We had a joyous birthday celebration at my son’s favorite restaurant. Akanomi’s staff and sushi chefs, itamae, excelled at all endeavors. Vivan was spot on with her suggestions and service. She anticipated all of our needs, especially with our children. The chicken soba soup, tuna carpaccio and Hawaii Rolls were our favorites. Then the sashimi / sushi mixed roll party docked. It was stunning in presentation, offerings and taste. Oh my, it was very impressive. A most wonderful time was had by all.”

“Just a quick flyby after dropping off a passenger in NH. Grabbed a beverage from the sweet bartender and sat in the corner for a break after driving for 12 hours…just what I needed. Tunes rocked - Creed, Shinedown, Sade, Skynyrd in that order. Minded my own business in the corner and wrote this review. I will be back.Back to Syracuse after my stretch.”

“Updating my review because I forgot to write in it . ? We are so happy to have Cullens in the village and we hope they do well. If you visit, please take the time to leave a review as well! We hope this small business is supported and stays with us for a long time, they deserve it. We popped in this morning for some bagels and coffee. As expected the bagels and fresh cream cheese were absolutely delicious and they had a great variety. One of my biggest flaws is how picky I am about coffee so typically I don’t even attempt to order it when we go out, but today I tried their banana nut latte. Seriously, it was the best coffee I’ve ever ordered! I can’t shut up about it and I can’t wait to to get another tomorrow morning. Definitely take the risk and order yourself a fancy coffee next time you are in the area. Wishing the Cullens crew nothing but the best- thank you!”

“Wow! Stumbled on this gem while visiting family in Upstate NY. Sat outside on a beautiful August afternoon enjoying a delicious Riesling and wood fired pizzas. Owners spent some time with us and could not have been nicer. They turned us on to a new wine (Edelweiss), that we had never had. OUTSTANDING, especially on a warm summer day. Beautiful venue for weddings, corporate functions or just an afternoon with friends and family. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.”

“Indian Ladder Farms is the perfect family day trip destination! They truly have it all – from the best ciders (their sparkling cider is a must-try!) and good beer to amazing food that keeps you coming back. There’s something for everyone here. The kids love seeing the animals, and there’s plenty of seating, including a cozy fire pit to relax by. Apple picking is a blast, and you can even pick fresh raspberries when they’re in season.

The country store is a treasure trove, offering homemade cider donuts that are absolutely delicious and some of the freshest apple cider you’ll ever taste. Indian Ladder Farms is a fun-filled spot with a relaxed vibe – perfect for making family memories and enjoying the best of fall!”

“Volunteered at a wonderful event for Petey's Legacy, a local pitbull rescue. Many other rescues were in attendence, there was live music, and a performance from Hedlawitches! De Fazios was serving up their amazing pizza, and the outdoor taproom was open as well, serving hard ciders, beers, and a specialty drink as well as a specialty pup cup! A perfect first day of November!”

“First time visiting Bamboo Garden, the young lady behind the counter was sweet and friendly. My son ordered crab rangoons and he says they are the biggest he has ever seen!! He asked for extra beef in his pepper and steak meal and extra he received. Meal was delicious,we definitely will be back ??”

“They’ve been in Altamont for a very long time and owners frequently change and so does there food. They hadn’t been good for many years, but owners have changed again and there pizza is really good. I honestly prefer it over most pizza in Albany.”

“We had our book club here and it was fantastic. The upstairs room is so beautiful and stylish. The food was DELICIOUS and very unique. Highly recommend the biscuit flight and whipped ricotta. “Outstanding. We went for the "Family Pack" to sample the BBQ meats and sides. Everything is top notch. Fall apart brisket and sauce... melts in your mouth. Sandwiches are packed with fresh flavors. Just go. You won't be disappointed.”

“11-14-2025 My mom had a hair appt close by today so I picked her up to have lunch at The Bellvue Cafe. She had chicken soup and a Rueben with fries. She raved about all of it. Some of the best chicken soup around imo. The fries were nice and crispy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. I loved seeing her enjoying all of her meal! I had chicken soup and the brisket pot roast. The carrots, onions, celery and taters were all cooked perfectly and not mush. The brisket was so tender I just used my fork. Mom took half her soup and Rueben home as she couldn’t finish it all. She did enjoy the rice pudding with whipped cream for dessert too. What an enjoyable day! 10 outta 10!!!!”
