“Being from Amsterdam, this is the only original pizza places left that are family owned and maintained the quality of evey thing they make, especially the pizza! I have traveled the world and there are very few places that even come close to their pizza and the other food served there. Even if your driving thru Amsterdam, shame on you if you don't try their food, especially their pizza!Vegetarian options: No issues here with the variety of toppings they offer.“
“My wife and I try to make it to Russo's at least once a month, it is just great home style Italian meals that will leave you feeling like someone has to roll you out the door. For the low price, the portions are huge and with everything being homemade the flavors of all the dishes are pretty self explanatory. The history of Russo's is very cool and says a lot about the food due to it being around for over 50 years. The service is good but when it's busy it can be very slow. I would suggest trying the pizza there, the homemade dough topped off with marinara will blow away your taste buds, the crust is crispy and there is no lack of cheese or toppings!“
“The place is still open. I just received the confirmation. It was only closed for a week or so. Vacation, I guess. Sorry, I thought it was closed, as it happened with many restaurants around the area because the pandemic. It is located across the CDTA bus stop S. Main St and Market St. So, now you know it is still open. Go there and enjoy the delicious pizza they prepare there. “I have been wanting to come here for a long while not and finally did to celebrate my birthday with my mom. The most disappointing thing was all the empty seats around me. Our time slot was for 4 so my hope was just it being early in the night. The sweet Italian woman who served us was so kind and personable. It’s just her, her husband, and her son running the place. It’s a very unique and comfortable setting to enjoy dinner. Our food was delicious, it is near impossible to find somewhere that does frog legs so was a very nice treat. The stuffed Parmesan left my mom full and satisfied with left overs. Please go to dinner here, it is well worth it.“
“Wow! I traveled for a living and I am a food snobb like no other, and Italian food is my thing. THIS is what I look for when I want REAL Italian and what a treat to find such a gem in such a small town. I had the Filet Marsala and it was the most tender steak I have ever had. Now...for the bar!! Crysta served up a Limoncello Mule that was everything I was hoping it would be. I hate that I am only here for a night because their menu had so much more I would've like to have tried. In any case...this is the spot to go to if you had any other doubts about tonight's dinner. Lasagna was absolutely the best ever, and we have experienced lasagna from coast to coast.Spaghetti was simple yet elegant and not overpowered by spices or tomato flavor, just a beautiful blend of flavor.Ann, our server, made our dining experience feel as though we were in a 5 star restaurant and were her only diners.I wish we lived close. “This place is just what you'd expect a small pizza place to be. You can order a slice on the go, to have a seat and order to your table. Like everyone these days they seem a little understaffed, but that doesn't stop them from proving friendly and fast service.“
“We tried Lorenzo's Southside for the first time last night for takeout. It was excellent! The Calamari Fritti was hand-breaded and unique in flavor, not your run-of-the-mill calamari. I had the Veal Milanese, which was tender and outstanding; the arugula and balsamic made the dish seem light while the Stracciatella added just the right amount of creaminess and balance. My husband had the Gnocchi Brasata; the short rib and sauce were incredibly flavorful although the gnocchi was slightly denser than expected but still delicious. I also had the carrot cake, which was hands-down the best I've ever eaten in my life. For the quality of the food (everything handmade), I felt the pricing was excellent. We had 2 meat entrees, 1 pasta course, 1 appetizer and 2 desserts for just over $103. I'm not sure how anyone could complain about that price. We will definitely return to Lorenzo's. Highly recommend!“
