“Was so happy. Impressed with taste, sauce and customer service. You made my Dad's birthday a success. Friday I ordered eggplant Parm dinners and chicken Parm ..Enough food to feed a small group ..However it was a ton of wonderful food. Great aldente ziti, fantastic sauce..Everything cooked to perfection. THANK YOU PIZZA CENTRAL. SEE YOU SOONUpdate. We did the Valentine's thing and got food from THE BEST AND AUTHENTIC PIZZA CENTRAL. WAS AWESOME of course..10 stars ..Thank you Shawna and You guys are awesome . I think you should open one in Lake George! Perfect eggplant , truly perfect! White pizza perfect, absolutely wonderful Chicken Parm and a killer Philly .. See you soon!“
“Totally nostalgic. The 4 kids initially resisted the family-style approach, but they were defenseless once they tasted the food! The eclectic collection of decor was also very helpful in keeping everyone entertained and amused ? And the dessert was colossal!“
“The food was excellent and came speedily! Waitress was kind but not great. The manager came to check on us unbidden, and I appreciated his professionalism and hospitality. The server was kind and unobtrusive. The hostess was abysmal, and the busboy was unprofessional, but to be expected with the limited salary, they can be provided by such a location. Detracted from the overall atmosphere and is a shame considering the high quality of the food. Went to cheesecake factory the same week, and this easily surpassed.“
“We always have a fantastic experience when we visit and celebrate every milestone here- engagement, engagement party, rehearsal dinner, daughter’s 1st birthday, and date nights. Jess, Chef Chris, and the whole staff make the experience outstanding from first bite! Always looking forward to coming back again.Kid-friendliness: Il Faro is always so accommodating when we bring our 2 year old. They have crayons, coloring books, sippy cups and modified food options. We never feel rushed or an inconvenience when we are eating here even with a 2 year old. Il Faro takes care of every customer no matter the age!“
“At at Nonna Maria’s last week. All our food was delicious and plenty of it, My husbands veal was tuff, not their fault, they took it back and he got chic Parm. He wasn’t crazy about the sauce, neither was our friends. We all like a thin sauce. Took our food home and he ate mine which he loved and I ate his which was very tender. We just like a thinner sauce. The waitress Linda was very attentive to us. The cook came out too, he made my husband the chicken parm then. All in all place was nice. Waitress was great and I will go again with my husband, he will just get something like I had. It really was delishous. I left a lil crazy tip for our waitress Because my husband kept complaining. Linda and chef were great, they did all they can“
“New favorite Italian place. You can tell it’s been here a long time and loved by locals. The staff were incredible. The food came out super fast. You can definitely taste it’s homemade. Literally the best pizza and pasta I’ve had in a long time. Pizza is like NYC style. Big menu, decent amount of tables, beer, great prices for big portions. We got 2 slices of pizza, chicken parm, pasta with vodka sauce for $35. The portions were huge. Just awesome food. And again, the staff went out of their way to bring us bread and package up our left overs for us. Exceptional and will be back“
“I've lived here my entire life passed this place a thousand times and finally went in...one of life's regrets is not trying to sooner. Everything was perfect from the second you walk in.I had the Veal Luciana, hands down the best I've ever had. This is one of my top dish life time. You have to give them a try. The house salad was also out of this word, I could have got two of those and been satisfied with my meal. Simply delicious.Great service and quick food delivery. Everything and everyone was on point.Prices were right on with what you get for a meal. Excellent flavor.“
“Picked this spot for my girlfriend’s birthday dinner and was our first time there and it was amazing, everything was delicious and the service was excellent. I took one hell of a gamble going somewhere for her birthday where neither of us have been and they helped me come through. They were really busy but attended everyone well. We decided to set reservations again for dinner this weekend.“
“I love this place so much I worked here for a few yrs. The food was outstanding 20 yrs ago and it’s still outstanding today. Homemade and high quality ingredients are what makes this place the best. We’re still customers 30 yrs later. If you want real authentic Italian this the place to go. Wonderful family owned place.“
“My daughter and I had an outstanding dinner last night. We had the soup of the day and artichoke appetizer. We also had the ricotta gnocchi and pasta with clam sauce. Everything was delicious, fresh and served hot. Our server was excellent. She was was attentive and well versed in the menu options. We enjoyed talking with her as she had a wonderful, warm personality. We will absolutely go back. I would highly recommend MezzaNotte.“
“Peter Pause is one of the best, if not THE best, breakfast place in Schenectady! Good old fashion diner feel, HUGE portions of food and beyond reasonable prices. The staff is really down to earth, personable and always have a smile for you. I can't recommend this place enough ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Parking: There is street parking and you can usually park pretty close.“
“Love this quirky yet cozy and super-cool spot. A great thing about Troy is the old buildings there have cool nook-like spaces such as this. The wood fired wings were really good - not straight down the middle typical Buffalo wings, but very good (with top notch bleu cheese.). “Medium” had just the right amount of heat for us. Pizza was very good too. Look forward to going back. Recommend.“
“I recently hosted an event at Villa di Como Ristorante through my job, and everything was absolute perfection -- the food, the drinks, their team, the atmosphere. Our guests complimented it all throughout the night. The staff was warm, welcoming, flexible, and collaborative. It was a memorable and enjoyable evening. Highly recommended!“
“Food and service were good. Only side comment is that were at a high top which we requested which allowed for little room when packaging up food. We had appetizer, entrees and desert. With a carafe of water and a bottle of wine on the table it would have been nice if our leftovers were packaged by the waitress away from the table. Other then that we had a pleasurable experience.“
“I have not been to this store in years. Did not disappoint . Staff is friendly and helpful . I purchased items off the shelves which yes pricey but hard to find anywhere else locally. Also, purchased Mac salad and chicken cutlets and all was delicious. I will be going back to try their other items in the near future. Make sure you pay with CASH because they tac on 3% for credit cards.“
“So we decided to go on their Tuesday 3 for 30 special.Cons: The waitress didn't fill up our drinks the entire time we were there and the glasses were right on the edge. I had to finally ask her and eventually she brought them. We also were using a gift card to pay. The waitress told us we couldn't tip using the gift card and there was no alternative way to add a tip which makes no sense since plenty of restaurants can. And she kept taking my phone with her to go discuss the issue which I wasn't comfortable with. Eventually she said she could remove a drink and then make me pay for that in order to leave a tip. I strongly advise to not buy a gift card here!Pros: the chicken Parm was absolutely huge, delicious and a great deal!!! Also the Mac and cheese bites are amazing. Overall the 3 for 30 deal is a Great special. The toffee pudding cake is delicious as well! Food was good! The food also came out very fast.“
“Love this little hidden gem! Stopped by for the first time yesterday and it definitely won’t be the last. Nonnas kitchen family vibes, absolutely delicious pizza, salads and subs, incredibly fair prices, you can’t go wrong! Can’t wait to go “
“Italian mix with roasted red peppers and prosciutto was likely the best sub ive ever had. The amount of meat is unparalleled. It was basically a titanic meat boat! Bread is amazing, but small, which I love because I'm a guy who watches his carbs. The quality was unlike anything I've ever had. Great family working there with an amazing little store. Highly recommend pairing a nice dry red wine with this sub!!!“
“I went there for the first time. It was amazing. Don't have a single bad thing to say about it. But, the next day, I discovered the hard way that I ate too much and spent at least an hour on the toilet and threw up. But the food and service was great and I hope I build up the courage to “
“We dined on the night of February 28th. The temperature changed greatly that night and was very cold, but the restaurant was very cozy and warm.Compared with some restaurants where the service staff wear uniforms, the service staff here wear their own clothes, but the overall style is very family and warm.I especially recommend the octopus heel and scallop pasta. My girlfriend said it was the best Italian dish she had eaten in New York in two years. For those who go to Albany, whether you are traveling, doing business or taking the bar exam, I recommend visiting this restaurant as a happy ending. In addition, the negative reviews of our store seem to be mostly focused on "Tips". People who are coming here are reminded to give tips according to New York practice, unless the service network's performance is really poor that day.“
“The food here is delicious. The bruschetta I had here has never left my mind and I always look forward to it and the other meals as well. My family and I have been here several times and always have a great experience. The staff is friendly and the owner himself as well. Good guy, cares about his employees and customers. 10/10.“
“Super Sbarro! Staff is laid back, like to talk and straight-up oven bakes and knocks out flavorful pizza, dough, salads, calzones, desserts, drinks, garlic knots. A meal (calzone, drink, 1 side) runs you $13. That's a steal considering when you go out to eat these days your entree has shrunk %65 and on top of that you're forced to subsidize wait staff's 'bizarro' life choices + college tuition!NOT AT SBARRO! Some days they have free samples. My calzone was a total success. Food establishments in 2023 are shrinking sizes, leaving out ingredients, serving expired foods and over-shelved beer nobody wants. Without me.I'm coming back to Sbarro in Colonie again this weekend: great deals, flavor-punches and delightful service by tough-as-nails New York pizzaiolos!Rebel review: 5++“
“We went on Saturday for a wonderful Cacio e Pepe experience. Chef Ali and the staff are so welcoming and attentive. The Cacio e Pepe was fantastic and I enjoyed learning about the dish. I also sampled the tiramisu and a limoncello spritz - both delicious. We will be back!“
“At a time when restaurants are scaling back on ingredients, portions and quality while charging more for meals, The Ritz On Union does just the opposite. I enjoyed a tasty ragu dish over papperdelle pasta. The portion was sizable and the pricing was fair.“
“Dereck was amazing as soon as we walked in with greeting us. He was also our server and was wonderful. Recommend amazing appetizers. I had the napoleon eggplant and don’t get me started on the bread and pesto dip… delicious. The chef was even accommodating on making my husband chicken Florentine and I had the chicken parm. Really huge portions and well priced but most importantly delicious. Will be back for sure.“
“We love Johnny's restaurant! The ambience is really nice and cozy. Delicious appetizers! Lovely freshly made pasta; I'm a big fan of the tagliatelle. The excellent desserts are from Villa Italia so you get to support two amazing local business with one meal out. Service is always great; we try to get seated in JoJo's section when we go as he is top-notch. I mentioned him previously as well. He goes way above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful experience. He's extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I just cannot say enough good things about him and this restaurant. I hope you'll go check it out soon if you have not already. We are going again in the near future, already have a reservation set. See you all soon!“
“Moved here from NYC and have finally found good pizza and real Italian food. The pizza has a delicious crust, not crispy enough, but properly proofed and the right amount of gluten. The sauce flavor is spot on. It is excellent pizza. The house salad is huge, fresh and has a nice mix of lettuces. We had the red pepper pesto and the pesto over linguini. The pasta is made fresh in-house, and they know how to make good sauces. The hangover cake is fantastic, it's a booze soaked pound cake and it it the perfect way to end a great meal. There is very limited seating, so call ahead to reserve a table. It reminds me of the places I grew up with in NYC.“
“Our waiter was Kim - she was so patient with us while we decided on what we wanted to order for dinner (we'd never been there for dinner so it took us a bit to decide) and apologized for seeming like she was rushing us by checking in, when in reality it felt reassuring that she was consistently checking in on us to get our food in to the kitchen asap. We ordered the Our Famous Chicken & a salmon fillet. The chicken was okay, would probably order again. However the salmon was very bland and unenjoyable to eat. When we let Kim know, she was very understanding and asked if we wanted something different, and she took the salmon off the bill. She then offered to buy us any dessert we wanted on her. She absolutely did not have to do this and we were very grateful. She was so kind to us and we hope to have her as our waiter again. We made sure to leave a larger tip so she got her money back +tip for the dessert she bought us. Give Kim a RAISE! She deserves it! Has great costumer service skills and is just such a sweet person. Will be coming back just for Kim.“
“I was sceptical of the combination of food options but they pull it off. The food was excellent and the service was great as well. Ordered a variety of food for a takeout dinner and everything from the quesadillas to the Nutella calzone was delicious!“
“Decided to stop here for lunch during a long drive and it was fabulous. The ciabatta is to die for (it’s big beware :)). The boar’s head meat and cheese just elevates the quality and the extra toppings offered made the sandwich perfect. We made our own but they have a wide selection of speciality sandwiches that looked divine“
“One of my favorite places to eat in Schenectady. I've walked/driven past this place for a few years before I finally (on a whim at that) decoded to eat here. I've been coming back for more ever since! The restaurant is smaller than similar establishments, but that adds to its charm. The fireplace is warm and inviting, and the bar is well stocked with some great drinks being served. The portions are very generous for the price, and it isn't uncommon to see people at other tables taking their food to go.The food is delicious, and you're going to get a quality meal each and every time. The drink menu rotates often, so there's plenty of opportunities to try something new or stick to the tried and true. The service is great, and I've been well taken care of each and every time! Gabby and Kyle are fantastic, and they remember me each time I come to eat. They know how to make you feel welcome, and your patronage valued. Just make sure you make a reservation in advance because they're only open for a few hours, and they get PACKED. Whether you're visiting or a local, I highly recommend this restaurant.“
“We went to dinner at Scotti's recently and it was incredible. I had the Veal Gaetano and my wife had the Chicken with white wine. Both were superb ....the veal tender and perfectly cooked and the chicken moist and delicious. The sides broccoli and linguini were an excellent complement to our dinner. To top it off we had the tiramisu and it was easily the best tiramisu of any restaurant we've visited. Kudos to the owner and staff for a great evening!“
“I came up from Queens on my birthday. Verdile's is an old school Italian restaurant like back in the day in Ozone Park. The sauce (not gravy) was homemade. The calamari was excellent. The seafood cacciatore was delicious. The carrot cake was a treat. Service was personal and very kind.Worth the trip. I think the restaurant has been around since 1943 for a very good reason. It's not fancy but it doesn't have to be. A real gem from another era!I will be returning the next time I visit Troy. It's an absolute treasure of the city.“
“I Ordered takeout for the first time from here tonight. I’ve never dined in-house before, so this was my first experience. Ordering online was as easy as stealing candy from a baby, where I could customize sauces and add-ons like a boss. I had the chicken parm, eggplant parm, and the shrimp scampi appetizer. The entrees came with salads, and I chose the Nicole salad, not really sure who Nicole is, but hey, she sure knows her greens! I headed over to pick it up.When I walked in, all the staff were buzzing around but they were super friendly and attentive. They handed me my takeout bag like it was a treasure chest full of delicious surprises and wished me well on my journey. I got home and started unpacking. Lo and behold, two massive bags of homemade bread awaited me. Next came the salads, and let me tell you, I don’t know who Nicole is, but I want to give her a high-five.The pastas that paired with the entrees were in separate containers and were massive. The chicken was as perfect as the eggplant. The scampi appetizer was so good, I considered diving into the broth and swimming laps. The prices were so reasonable that I felt like I was getting away with a heist, and the amount of food received could have easily fed the neighbors if I liked them. I'm already thinking about my next trip.“
“I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our meal here! The pasta nachos were absolutely delicious. The home made bread I could eat it all day with the home made butter. Delicious home made salad dressings along with home made pasta too. Server was delightful!“
“Excellent calzone and Greek salad to go for dinner last night. My husband and I went to college in Brooklyn and used to eat calzone all the time. We finally found one that measures up!!! Got it with sausage and olives and it was sooooo good. Got two but we couldn't finish one. Salad was huge too, and just perfect. Lots of feta and olives and good dressing. Man at the counter could not be nicer. Even held the door for me.“
“This place was amazing.....The garlic parmesan chicken wings were delicious and the Meat Lovers Calzone was so good and the portions are huge...... took home a meatball sandwich for dinner and the meatballs were the best I ever have eaten.....you owe it to yourself to try it. You won't be disappointed....“
“My first time dealing with This restaurant and my wife and I are impressed. We purchased their meals for four to take home for a birthday celebration. The Chicken and eggplant Parm are delicious with generous portions and more than generous sides. The cost is extremely affordable compared to other Italian places in the area. The staff is very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. We are looking forward to returning soon to dine in-house and will provide updates.“
“We were there last night!!! Absolutely everything was divine. My boyfriend is a chef and he and I were both incredibly inspired and impressed with the execution of everything, from the beet and burrata, the Roman fried artichoke, the winter veggie riggies and the braised beef cheeks and then the dessert they had on special… just amazing. Served with elegance in a romantic cozy space… definitely made for a fantastic date. Thank you guys for such a wonderful experience!!!“
“Best Happy Hour in town ! 1/2 priced apps ?! YES PLEASE!I’m super picky about buffalo wings and Stella’s wings are on point. Super crispy and delicious! Some other favorites are the sliders, beer battered green beans, tagliatelle with vodka sauce, and my all time favorite Cacio de Pepe. ?? Literal heaven on a plate. The bread is always fresh and delicious, yummy salads and best meatballs I’ve ever had at any Italian restaurant.Staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and always make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in the door. ♥️Also, They have Sunday Brunch now!Highly recommend the BEC (Bacon, Egg & Cheese) on fresh homemade Focaccia bread. So so so good! They also have crepes (Try the Chicken Béchamel or the Godmother), a yummy cinnamon bun French toast, omelettes breakfast quiche and delicious bloody Mary’s at the bar. Can’t wait to try to the different mimosas!Happy to see such a great place doing well in the Stockade! ??Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs can go through the patio doors.“
“We went to dinner for our son's birthday. Everything was wonderful, food, service and the atmosphere. We had two young grandchildren with us. Our waiter really helped make the children's time fun. We will definitely return.Parking: The parking was behind the restaurant. It was shared with other businesses. It was dark so it was somewhat of a challenge for my wife. It was also our first time going. Next time we would know the area better.“
“Pizza was real good.Wings were also good.I typically go to another pizza place in glenmont. They couldn’t fill my order until 2 hours from order placement. (Friday night)Went here instead, pleasantly surprised. Will certainly be coming back!“
“First timer visit on a family members recommendation. Four star food and service so that is impressive. Five stars for the gal who greeted and seated our seven member party. She was super nice beyond what you can reasonablly expect these days. The french toast was good. The italian toast, bacon and egss were also solid. The standout was the potatos served with the eggs. Cooked to perfection and tasty to boot. Everyone enjoyed the food. The coffee was just okay but it was hot. My only objection was that the place had a smell to it that indicated it might not be regularly cleaned. My wife noticed it as well. Still, in an era where a good breakfast place is increasingly hard to find we overlooked this and the greeter and the food made up for it. Check it out for yourself.“
“I'll always have a soft spot for Navona. My dining experience is always great - food is spot on every time even when they're totally slammed. They stay busy but the service is timely and the servers check up frequently to ensure I have all I need. Regularly I dine alone but all friends I've brought with me have enjoyed it - especially the pizza. The inside is cute and the decorations are interesting. I enjoy the lighting as it's not too overpowering which I am sensitive to. The owner is friendly and can be seen chatting with people who are regulars which just goes to show it has the homey, family feel, very personalized. The servers know my order because I consistently get the same thing and dine there so often which is not necessary but sweet. You won't be disappointed - try the pizza and if that's not for you then the bruschetta or focaccia with ricotta, they're all delicious. For dessert I recommend the chocolate mousse - very sweet and rich but totally worth it!“
“I thought the pizza was really good compared to other local options. When I walked at 11:45 am on a Tuesday, the bar area was full of people while the rest of the restaurant appeared empty! Super noisy! Maybe there was an event or business party? Seemed like a good sign. Since I was picking up, I just walked over to the cash register and pulled out my cash, since there was a sign notifying you of a 3% surcharge on card charges. Pizza came out hot and smelling delicious! I ordered a large but since there is thick crust, and a 8-slice pizza, it seemed to be what a size medium would look like. The crust was flavorful and crispy on the bottom, but chewy on the sides and top. The crust was thick! There wasn't a lot of cheese grease dripping off, which is a good thing. I felt that the sauce was bland and not very thick, so a little disappointed about that but it wasn't a deal breaker. At $2.50 per topping, the toppings were well-distributed and fresh, so that was good. All in all a very good pizza. It was around $26 for a "large, three topping, 8-slice pizza, for take out" and we really enjoyed it especially since many of the other pizza places near Niskayuna/NE Schenectady are don't sell the style of pizza we like. I understand the positive reviews and happy to have discovered this place close to home.“
“We’re there frequently and the food is consistently excellent. Menu is full of well executed traditional Italian dishes. Staff is friendly and very attentive. Icing on the cake - prices are very reasonable for high quality offerings. We plan to continue visiting often.“
“Excellent service and fantastic food. And they were very considerate to our toddler too! One of the few restaurants left in the capital region that do family dining with a pleasant atmosphere.Kid-friendliness: Very good to our 2 year old. Nice options for their food and very considerate to our needs as parents.“
“we ate here after a tough day for my family. we were able to sit right away since we had a reservation. the food came out at a good speed. the atmosphere is very calm and it was nice to sit down after standing all day. however, the waitresses didn't come over to us at all while we were eating. they didn't refill our water cups and since we were the only group in there, it was a little inconvenient. otherwise, the food was very very good.“
“La Famiglia nails it every time with their pizza and wings. We've done the rounds at other spots in the capital region, but we always circle back to what we know is the best. It’s become such a favorite that it's our tradition to order from them every Halloween.?“
