I have two issues, one is a constant: they make a bad drink, I know things are expensive right now, but make me a good non metered drink, it's not like you're not charging me a lot for it. The other was hopefully a one off, the waiter didn't speak English well and my friend asked him a question which he said yes to and when he was served it was completely different, when my friend was like "what's up" the guy mumbled and politely shrugged. That being said I do like this place.“

I had the chicken with sweet potato waffles, which I’m still working on. In fact the entire family needed boxes, just to give you an idea of the portions. I gave 4 stars for the service due to the restrooms being down a steep set of stairs and we had a few elderly folks with us. I will also offer that ownership should be more outward with which options are dairy free. A couple members of our party are dairy free and one ate very cautiously because they were worried about what items contained milk. They may have enjoyed themselves more otherwise. I’ll be honest. I woke up this morning and the first thing I thought about was eating my leftovers for breakfast. Now that’s how you leave an impression! “This is my second time eating at Southern Kitchen and bar with my partner, our grandson, and his father.  It's a very nice place, a great atmosphere  spacious, clean, friendly, diverse, and family oriented. There's outdoor dining and free parking. The staff was very tentative, and our servers, Lauren and Kyle, were awesome. They menu gave you plenty of ordering options.  It was hard to decide what I wanted to eat, especially when I saw other people's orders passing me buy.  I didn't wait too long for the food.  When the food arrived, it was served steaming hot and tasty. If you dont want to sit and eat a meal, you can sit at the full bar and have a cold beverage.  I recommend you give this place a visit. The flavor of the almond (kind of a toasted almond) kept hogging the stage and, if I'm being honest, had I not known it was almond coconut, I would never have guessed that there was any coconut to be had, except for snippets here and there. Don't get me wrong, it was delightful and I'd order it again. But, if you aren't a particular fan of almond, the flavor is on the heavy side. I ordered a medium and took one look at the flimsy cup and thought, THAT'S worth nine bucks?? As long as you don't get a "to go" the server definitely gives you your money's worth! Oh, and the blueberry creme brulee` is another phenom flavor favorite! The little biscuit that accompanies the Gelato is a nice touch too.“

In our area they have a restaurant in Scarsdale and another restaurant is in Yorktown Heights. We happen to like the Scarsdale atmosphere, food and the service best. The Yorktown Heights restaurant has better parking, but it is less cozy and not really all that family inviting for a sit-down dinner. The pricing for lunch in the Scarsdale location is really great when you want to order out and have some leftovers for the next day. If you want to spend a little more and you want to have a special occasion dinner then by all means patronize the Scarsdale location because the service is perfect and the food is great!“

“Arriving at 6:00 on a Saturday evening without reservations, my companion and I were delighted to be seated at a small booth in the bar area. Great seating, as it was comfortable and felt private. We each enjoyed a special cocktail, and appetizers of delicious cauliflower and truffle pizza and popcorn shrimp (complete with tiny crumbles of popcorn!)
