Twice, recently, I dined at I'l Fresco with friends and family members; The words they used to describe Il Fresco were: -Fabulous - dinner was scrumptious -Phenomenal restaurant and staff -Tastiest sauce in the world - delicious hot bread out of the oven. -An Exceptional dining experience. -Amazing homemade tiramisu - wonderful desserts -Best meal ever - better than the meals I had while visiting Sorrento, Italy. From my cousin who went back to Belfast, Northern Ireland: I am keen to get back to visit again and hopefully we can visit the fantastic restaurant again, can't remember the name otherwise it would be getting a 5 star from me. The flavor profile is excellent and if you like heat you can ask to increase it, one hot pepper is mild heat two is moderate and three is for those who lived in areas of Asia and are used to that level. (Few times) Its in a strip mall and ambience is just acceptable but great food. The food is not too americanized, which is to say that it's not bland. My fav india joint right now“

“Alright! Where do i begin?! There were 4 people behind the counter and when i walked in, all four greeted me. The manager greeted at the ordering station and didnt overwhelm me to order my food as this was the first time being there. He asked me if id like any suggestions and we landed on the chicken platter with spicy chickpeas rice and cole slaw. Everything about this bowl was immaculate. The chicken was well seasoned and spiced, the chick peas were tender and savory, and the rice was such a great compliment to the protein. I also ordered their fries because why not!The portion size was generous but not overbearing. They had the mexican coke glass bottles which was a great choice to wash the food down with. I got the brown to top it all off and it was amazing. Chipotle, Qdoba, Halal Guys even have nothing on Juicy Platters. I definitely will be coming back with the family!“

I had the chicken with sweet potato waffles, which I’m still working on. In fact the entire family needed boxes, just to give you an idea of the portions. I gave 4 stars for the service due to the restrooms being down a steep set of stairs and we had a few elderly folks with us. I will also offer that ownership should be more outward with which options are dairy free. A couple members of our party are dairy free and one ate very cautiously because they were worried about what items contained milk. They may have enjoyed themselves more otherwise. I’ll be honest. I woke up this morning and the first thing I thought about was eating my leftovers for breakfast. Now that’s how you leave an impression! My husband and I are frequent weekend guests at The Tasty Table because we like the food and the way we are treated as guests. I've noticed some less than positive reviews focused on difficulties getting a table during their busiest weekend times. This should indicate to all who are interested in going to The Tasty Table of how wonderful a restaurant it is. My suggestion is to take advantage of the 30 minute call aheads that are offered. “Having just relocated to the area, First Village Coffee is the community hub I have been seeking. Often walking into a coffee shop for the first time can feel daunting, but I received a genuinely warm welcome (and farewell) from multiple staff members, which immediately made we feel like staying for a while. I noticed how the owner engaged with regulars and newcomers with equal interest and regard, which was a pleasant change from places that choose not to focus on building relationships with their clientele. The cro-muffin was delicious, soft in the middle with a crunch from the crystallized sugar on the outside, and my rose-cardamom latte was hand-delivered with care. “Oh my!! If you pass this spot up you are missing out. We ordered the cupcakes, chocolate chip cookies, and Cinnabons. The cupcakes were so soft and velvety. I was expecting had and grainy but these cupcakes are built as if you made regular ones and pulled them out the oven. My mouth watered eating them. The chocolate chip cookies were also soft and delicious. This place needs a stop when you're in the neighborhood. Even for the non vegan crowd these baked good will leave you surprised and ordering additional.“

In our area they have a restaurant in Scarsdale and another restaurant is in Yorktown Heights. We happen to like the Scarsdale atmosphere, food and the service best. The Yorktown Heights restaurant has better parking, but it is less cozy and not really all that family inviting for a sit-down dinner. The pricing for lunch in the Scarsdale location is really great when you want to order out and have some leftovers for the next day. If you want to spend a little more and you want to have a special occasion dinner then by all means patronize the Scarsdale location because the service is perfect and the food is great!“

Lunch tray is consist of small plates priced around $50, which sounds a bit pricey for the portions, but I assume the ingredients are fresh and high quality. When I went there, the lunch menu was some pickles, cured meat, taco and bread - everything was sour - even the dessert looking cake was sour. Balance of the meal was a bit disappointing, so got a small apple for $2, which was soggy and bruised inside, but I liked their coffee.It is a beautiful place for a getaway from the city - an hour drive from Manhattan. The lunch tray could be hit or miss since they only offer one set menu, which you don’t know until you get there, but they have pretty outdoor tables surrounded by nice garden.
