“We celebrated a birthday here and were blown away by the quality of service, food, and atmosphere. We got to pick out our own fish and the waitress was so kind and attentive.
If you have a special occasion to celebrate or just want an intimate dinner, come here!”
“We ate like in Italy, fantastic welcome, exquisite food!
Real arancini, not modified recipes because we are in America! Polenta with meat, classic carbonara pasta, excellent! Thank you”
“Food was excellent and service was even better! Our favorites were the fried eggplant and the Afghan naan. Couldn’t recommend this enough & will definitely be coming back.”
“I recently dined at Sotto La Luna restaurant in, New York and had a great experience! The pasta with truffles was amaazing, offering a rich flavor that truly impressed me. My friend enjoyed the cacio e pepe. We concluded our meal with a delicious tiramisu, providing a perfect sweet ending. The service was excellent, ensuring our glasses were always full. I highly recommend Sotto La Luna for an authentic Italian dining experience✨”

“Love icon! Such an accepting and fun atmosphere. The queens are amazingly talented!!! Love to go on Thursdays for Karaoke with the fabulous host Nicole Andadime. The service is always wonderful and the drinks are good!!!!”
“The management and staff are on point and the food is always great.
I gotta admit I was skeptical when this place came to the neighborhood, but every time my wife and I eat here, we’re always pleasantly surprised. It has a sports bar feel, which is the only reason I gave the ‘atmosphere’ 4 stars. A little noisy for us old folks.

“I highly recommend this restaurant! The food is amazing! You must try the buffalo wings if you love your dishes with a spicy kick and the buffalo cauliflower bites that simply melt in your mouth! The Chef's V Steak is a rich and flavorful you should try it. The service is wonderful and the ambiance is very trendy.”
“My wife and I stumbled onto this location one day when passing through Queens. She just wanted to grab a quick cup of coffee, but what we got was so much better than expected. We had a “flat white” which was amazing high-quality coffee. And a piece of homemade baklava. I have to say this was hands-down, The absolute BEST baklava I’ve ever had in my life and if you’re a fan of this dessert, you absolutely need to go try it for yourself. I myself, have grown-up eating plenty of baklava. In my hometown, we have one of the highest Middle Eastern populations in the country so we have plenty of great baklava but I’ve still never had it this good. It was Perfect!✨ A large quantity, but not too filling, well-defined layers, very light & flaky but still moist, and just the right amount of nuts. when you bite into it, no part of the dessert gets lost or covered up. You can taste every element standing out with prominent flavor; from the freshness of the walnuts to the sweetness of the syrup and quality of the dough. After talking to the owner for a while, she explained to us how she bakes everything herself and how she refuses to buy her desserts from bakeries or skimp out on quality even if it makes her job easier. Let me tell you, it shows! I highly respect the integrity she brings to her baking and her café. She also gave us some cookies that were amazing as well.
Now let me tell you a bit about the owners of this establishment. They’re a dedicated hard working family from Montenegro and were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met in my travels. They were VERY kind warmhearted people who opened their business up to us as if it was their home and we were long time friends, stopping by for a visit. It was honestly surreal how comfortable they made us feel. We spoke for over an hour and enjoyed their beautifully designed and well kept Café/Bar. Whenever I go to a new location, I really pay close attention to how much the owners care about their business and the customers they serve. It is by far the most important criteria. With these owners, you can tell they really put their all into the business and it is truly a family affair. I loved how the husband and wife were both there working together and even their daughter pitches in. The daughter even drew this amazing Halloween picture on the board by the entrance and you can tell how proud her parents are of her skills. I truly admire the love and attention this family puts into their business, and I can confidently say they’re the American dream in action!🇺🇸 Please go pay these guys a visit I promise you won’t be disappointed. I know for us, It will be worth it to make the trip from New Jersey to visit again soon.”

“I highly recommend coming here! The food was beyond amazing and the drinks were good! The atmosphere was busy (maybe due to the rain) but still good vibes
We had the Calentado and Hamburguesa with the bottomless $20x90 minutes drinks. I’ve attached our bill for reference so it was about $60 per person with tip included.”

“Wonderful ambiance, staff is courteous, helpful and very knowledgeable on menu items. They are following COVID guidelines, the place is clean and looks like they have upgraded the decor. The food is delicious and hot. Their tomato sauce is perfect! The sangria is very good too. Great little neighborhood place.”
“I recently visited Avenue restobar and had an outstanding experience. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a night out or a relaxed evening. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious drinks and dishes.
What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service. The manager goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcomed and taken care of. The bartender is incredibly skilled and crafted some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. Their attention to detail and friendly demeanor truly made the night special.
If you’re looking for a place with great food, amazing drinks, and top-notch service, Avenue Restobar is the place to be. Highly recommended!”
“It’s mostly a takeout place. They do have a few booths and Soccer on the TV, but the real draw is the food. The chicken enchiladas were great and my girlfriend really enjoyed her pork chops. It’s clear the staff here are trying hard and it shows. I would say the grilled meats are much better than average. The chicken in my enchilada was grilled, which gave it a much better flavor than I normally get with chicken enchiladas. You can see the presentation is also nice and the portions were large.”
“your next sushi spot in astoria, queens! the interior makes it feel like you’ve been transported to a tropical island while eating delicious sushi. presentation was on point and can’t wait to come back!”
“Wonderful roasted lamb on rib bones in a lemonaise sauce served with roasted potatoes. Lamb also available in a tomato sauce. And the gratis dessert makes a sweet ending.”

“I've never ordered delivery from here so this is from my experience going in person. The food is consistently good quality and there's a large variety of options. The service is excellent. All the staff are extremely polite, attentive, and efficient. Whether you're placing a big order or buying one bottle of beer they are always respectful and value your business.”
Takeout Restaurants
“I got the okra+spinach w/ spicy goat. It was out of this world. The owner gave me a call a few minutes after I made the order to let me know they were out of fufu (pounded yams) and replaced it with yellow rice. I enjoyed the goat — it has a kick but not overwhelmingly spicy. The choice I made was excellent. I am most definitely ordering again and hope I can try the fufu next time.”
“Locals know this is *the* best Thai food in the neighborhood. For delivery especially, the food comes so fast it’s almost scary (did they know my order before I ordered it? How else could they get here so fast?). But the food is delicious and the portions are huge.
In person, Buffs is equally great. The vibes are fun and the service is super friendly and nice.”
“Best food and hosts! Meal was amazing! Drinks were beautiful! Atmosphere was great!”

“Overall a great coffee place. I always get a mocha, and have 2 mini donuts with it one vanilla crème and one hazelnut. i've also tried 2 of the croissant sandwiches one with prosciutto and the turkey one and both were great- the croissants themselves are really soft and buttery. even though i live a mile away i still walk here every week”
“Somehow even better than the reviews make it sound! We had just visited Peru a few weeks before visiting, so our expectations were sky high, and were massively exceeded! It's a proper local spot, too - no unnecessary faffing about with shiny decor or viral frills.
Unreal rotisserie chicken and pork fried rice - the chicken was possibly the best rotisserie I've ever had. The green sauce is is also just as good as people say - don't miss it. Plus, the Chicha Morada is authentic and delicious, a must order.”
“Love this place!
I had such a great experience picking up takeout here! Simrika was so helpful with my special order and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. On my way out, I met Sue, the owner, and she was so incredibly kind. The whole team here is just wonderful! And a great crowd.People were having such a great time singing karaoke while I was picking up my food, the energy was amazing.
Not to mention, everything was delicious, I’m so happy to have this spot just a block away!”
“Humble old school atmosphere with very delicious greek food. Spicy feta dip with warm pita was incredible. Super attentive and friendly people. This is a classic astoria restaurant, I highly recommend it”
Cheap Eats
“My first time here!! Food was delicious and great portion, my lavender latte so rich!! It’s freezing today and I was able to go inside with my dog. Kinka ( I’m sorry if I spelled it wrong) so sweet and welcoming to me and my pup while we waited for our order.
Will be back!!”
“If you want the best quality of ingredients, from the coffee beans, to the milk, and a great cup of coffee, then please do yourself a favor and stop by Elevanese Cafe. Since it first opened, the staff has always been friendly, the location is always clean, and it’s a perfect community-inclusive space. Now let’s get to the pastries: no one in Astoria and almost NYC compares to the pastries here. Truly, try anything you can while you can, especially if it’s seasonal. The owner is obviously very knowledgeable when it comes to how pastries should taste. Forever my favorite cafe in Astoria. Glad this place is only blocks away from my home.”
“Really small cute place. I liked the hot chocolate. The French sandwich with Brie was really tiny for the price. The service was okay, they don't greet you when you come in. It's a small place and the counter is near the door, they see the customers walk in and still remain silent like you're not even there.”
“I bring my team here for post fight celebrations since it is located right around the corner from Melrose Ballroom. They can accommodate our group size, have great bar food, there’s Guinness on tap, pickles backs and friendly bartenders. What more can you ask for?!”
“Efficient service. Food was very good -- although a little messy to eat, for my preferences. I got the pita with the feta-stuffed beef. The tzatziki sauce was amazing. Really nice decor as well, and the music isn't too loud (for those who are overstimulated easily).
Eyeing the many traditional dessert options as I eat ... ☺️”
“One of the country’s best breweries right in Astoria AND next to a grocery store (grocery shopping always better after a couple drinks). The brewery has cozy indoor space, ample outdoor space, and the folks running the bar are kind and knowledgeable — nothing is pretentious. If you’re an aviation geek, sit outside, as it’s a prime spot for watching narrowbody departures from LGA.”
“We arrived a little too early before the restaurant opened, but the waitress let us in 30 mins early. We were hungry and wanted to order lamb chops. Alas, we had to order veal instead. And I asked for a tarama -my starting point for any Greek meal and lemon potatoes, another favorite of mine. The veal was tender and delicious and tarama along with warm bread was very tasty. Gregory's Corner is perhaps one the best small taverna in Astoria. What they lack in choices on the menu, they make up in service. The waitress who took our order was really on point and gave us solid recommendations. Gregory's is a nice cozy spot with a truly Mediterranean feel. The tables are well-spaced, and the decor is bright and breezy. Outside the restaurant is a little hard to make out up the street and is covered with too much foliage. The entrance is not clearly marked. Inside you can hear the waitress and owner arguing and speaking in Greek. It got a little intence at times, but was fun”
“Loved this neighborhood bar. The bartender, the owner and the neighborhood people were all very welcoming. The feel of the space is cozy and yet spacious enough. They also have outdoor seating. I loved the decor and the wood paneling. The prices are good. The atmosphere is laid back and convivial. I will definitely be back.”
“4.5 for a takeout order of the classic banh mi. Bread was a great texture, crispy crust with soft inside, nice balance of pate and tender meat with shredded pickled veggies. I just forgot to ask for spicy and I would have enjoyed some jalapeño and hot sauce as well, but that’s on me. Very excited to have this place now since I haven’t had a banh mi this good in western Queens.”
“had dinner there tonight with friends. great food, great service, reasonable prices.”

“Need friends, real blunt but loving ones? Come here.
This is a gritty but welcoming Pub that will show you what a drinking hole is, not pretentious.
The people make this establishments what it is and the bar keeps are even better. Different crowds at different times, great balance.”
