Checked Rosatoro out on a cold night in Friday November. There wasn't many people in the restaurant but those that were there were enjoying plates full of delicious looking food. We were sat quickly and the hostess was friendly. There was a live band playing as we waited for our food, making up feel like we were in some small town in Peru. The food came out hot and the seafood was so fresh. Every bite was delicious and even my reheated leftovers the next day made me smile. If you'd like a taste of Peru... try Rosatoro!

The food here is overall pretty good but pretty pricey. I got the ceviche mixto and it tasted good and fresh. The bad thing about this place is how incredibly slow the service is. When I ate here, it wasn’t busy at all. There were only 2 other tables but our drinks took 10 min to get to out and food was another 40 min. I can’t imagine the wait if this place was packed or more full. So if you don’t mind waiting long periods of time for your food and drinks, then this place isn’t that bad.

I was here a couple times before but it’s been a while and I was craving some good Peruvian food. I went there on a Friday night and I really enjoyed it. I ordered yukka fries and lomo saltado. Both were solid.I was most impressed however with their cocktails, I got two different pisco based ones and they were both very high quality and well made.I will most definitely be back!

The service was spectacular. We had my husband's birthday dinner here, and they brought us delicious dessert. Our family each got a different drink, and all of us loved our drinks. We also all got something different, and we all devoured our food. The night we went, there was live music that made us and other guests get up and dance! I'm planning on coming back every time I'm in New York.

I have dined in and ordered takeout from here and unfortunately this place just doesn't hit. When I ordered takeout (lomo saltado) the food was wayyyy too salty. The times I came here to dine in the food was disappointingly bland. We had the anticuchos, jalea, and the ceviche mixto. The drinks were also ok. I got a regular pisco sour. Not the best Peruvian food and I do not recommend. The workers however, are super polite and gave my bf a birthday shot which was nice. The space itself is large with plenty of seating.

We got two dishes one was great the other so-so. The green sauce was salty,.very salty. For the portions it all felt overly expensive. The staff was fine, the atmosphere was hot. I know it was a humid day, but why only run a fan? Overall, I probably won't not go again particularly looking at the overall price. But at least one dish was yummy.

Everything about our visit tonight was fantastic. Honestly some of the friendliest staff I've had at a restaurant. Very friendly and great recommendations were given by the staff and never once was there any pressure to upsell or rush. The food was also fantastic, we got the mixed ceviche which we had with an order or yucca fries to start. Both were amazing and the waiter even brought out a sauce that he thought we would like to try (we didn't even ask for it) and it was great. The main course was Secco Verde which was amazing, very tender and full of flavor with a variety of flavors and textures on the plate. Also the serving sizes are very generous even with the higher price points of the dishes. Our drinks were also so delicious, I got a traditional Pisco Sour and my wife got a Passionfruit Pisco. They were very much what we were looking for.Lastly, they have live music every Friday and Saturday night which just makes it such a nice and lively vibe.Overall great experience and would highly recommend to someone looking for a great date night.

The Ceviche and drinks were great. They have a few mocktails as well, which were tasty. They were also very accommodating in terms of my pup. EVERYONE at the restaurant so kind and I will definitely be back to try the other dishes!

The food we had was pretty good and the Pisco Sour excellent.Service, is a different matter. We were two people, one a coeliac. The waiter did not know what it is so he preferred to lie rather being honest. The manager almost the same. We had to explain what coeliac means and tell them, after long explanation, what is or isn't gluten free. If you are Coeliac, don't go.The place was very empty on a Friday evening. A pity because looks the part and the food is good. But they need to change all personnel, including the chef.Dietary restrictions: Dangerous coeliac. Do not approach!

Terrible experience. We ordered the anti-cuchero octopus, which I had already tried before. The taste of the dish wasn't as expected, it didn't taste good and it didn't feel fresh. We returned the dish and did not choose to order anything else or exchange it for anything. When the bill arrived they charged us for the dish indicating that it was the policy of ALL restaurants in NY to charge the dishes when the customer has touched them even if they made you feel sick. I do NOT recommend the food. And much less the service provided by the waiter. We feel cheated and defrauded. We also got sick.

We ordered “arroz con mariscos” that was very disappointing. The rice was overcooked and the whole dish didn’t taste fresh. It was a waste (27 dollars). The Guacamole and chips was bad too. We noticed a funny flavor in the guacamole, we sent it back to the kitchen but they didn’t do anything about it. Another waste, 17 dollars. The waiter was nice.

Came for family lunch/dinner. We had the Guacamole and chips, which is about 4oz of guacamole and very salty chips. My husband and son had the churrasco plate which was OK. My daughter and I had the Chaufa rice with chicken and the lomo saltado. The lomo was actually good aside from the fatty pieces of lomo included. The chaufa wasn’t amazing. It had too much soy sauce and the egg wasn’t mixed in instead it was an omelette style egg on top of the rice. The drinks were very good actually. Now the service. The person we initially had contact with and who took our order (Diego), wasn’t very welcoming. When I asked him questions about the drinks he was condescending saying “we have very balanced cocktails here”. When I asked him to modify my drink he wasn’t happy about it and it showed. When we ordered our food, then too he acted bothered by the fact that we changed a plate last minute. After our food arrived we didn’t see Diego anymore. We interacted with Camila for the rest of our visit (who was ABSOLUTELY LOVELY MIGHT I SAY), until it was time to pay, at which time another waitress (name unknown) came to finalize our payment. Overall not a bad experience, but not a GREAT one either aside from again our lovely busser Camila. Would not return though.
