Rounding up from a 3.5 because of their great lunch special. I got the chicken samosa and chicken curry one day. Both items were good, but not particularly memorable. I will say that a lunch special with a good variety of items that includes an appetizer is always welcome though. If you're in the area at lunchtime and craving Indian food, give this place a try.
I love how clean the food here tastes. I love a great palak paneer and some places make it so oily or creamy, but Taste of Bengal makes it perfectly. You can taste the spinach and you can have so much of it without it feeling too overwhelming. My new go to delivery for Indian/Bengali dishes.
what a hidden gem - EASILY one of the best food spots in new york (of any kind). well balanced (and generous) portions of every item, fresh and consistent at any time of the day, and all the flavors/textures are impressively well done.
