This is the real deal!! Maria came and spoke with us while we ate and wow she is a sweetheart. We got birria tacos which are astonishingly good. I will be back to get my Mexican food fix with Maria. It’s a tiny little shop but has the spirit to fill all of queens.
Tia Maria's is one of the most authentic, delicious, and friendly taco shops I have ever been to. Don't be daunted by the hole-in-the-wall exterior or the limited seating, Maria and Co. will treat you like family and it's more than worth it. We tried the Birria and carne asada tacos and loved them. They're affordable, fresh, and delicious. We will definitely be back to work our way through the menu.
