Went on a Sunday evening, place was empty, menu was very limited. Ordered Keema Naan and aloo paratha with butter chicken, but was served aloo paratha and plain naan, when we asked them they apologized and then got us keema naan. Naan and paratha were good but butter chicken was a bit bland. Liked the keema Naan but menu was too disappointing. An average place. People come more for take outs it looks like. Was expecting something like the New Jersey Indian restaurants but this wasn’t on par with that. The naan and paratha was served hot and was good though. Location average

Came in around 12:30 on a Sunday. Got seated right away and wasn't really packed. They have a variety of buffet dishes both veg and non veg. Everything was cooked and was hot .When they brought out the naan, it was cooked fresh to order. Service was excellent. A lot of the dishes were less seasoned and spicy as is in a normal Indian cuisine, but they do that to cater to the population in that area that can't handle spices. No disrespect but y'all can't handle spices. Samosas were fire and they had the chutneys to go with them too. Overall with tax and tip it was around $20 per person. Metered parking outside is decent and there's plenty around the area as well. After covid, this spot is good for what they have. Definitely don't miss out on the kheer desert at the end.Parking: Accross the street metered parking.

We ordered lamb Rogan Josh ,lamb saag and butter chicken .The meat and chicken was not properly cooked and the saag had water separated in the dish .It was not even seasoned properly. This is coming from an Indian .Please save your money and order from some other Indian restaurant.I called the staff to let them know that they sent uncooked food but the guy who picked up the phone did not even care to address the problem ,rather asked me why I was calling him ….poor preparation, poor service and stale food

Some of the best Indian food Astoria has to offer! The Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka Masala are my go-tos. They are always well spiced, tender, and delicious. I’ve never had bad food from here, and the prices are great for the amount you get.Dietary restrictions: Some meals are made with nuts, so be careful what you order if you have an allergy! Read the ingredients.

After a pause of over three years (since the COVID-19 pandemic hit), the weekend (Sat/Sun 12pm - 3pm) buffet is back. The food is still delicious, and there was a variety of items -- salad, chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, curry chicken, saag paneer, chana, okra, veggie samosa, naan, and kheer. Also, great service!

Just ordered and I think they forgot to put any spices in either our saag or our korma. The flavors were so absent that we were actually worried that we had Covid for a few. It was edible, but you don't pay this much to not taste the food.

Was excited to try this place, as I have grown tired of the standard burger/sandwich/salad routine. Here's a quick rundown... seems more of a take out/delivery spot than a sit down restaurant. Here's why I say that. The bartender is also the host is also the waiter is also the busboy. Secondly, the restaurant is completely sterile, devoid of any decoration or festive atmosphere. No music, blank walls. The waiter was curt, not cordial, understandable given his workload. The order was taken correctly and delivered to the table in record time. I know a lot of this stuff is cooked in batches and ready to go, but it was still impressive. The food was... ok. As a person of Caucasian ancestry I would say this food is prepared to please my people's palate. (alliteration FTW!) It could use a bit more oomph IMHO. There's nothing wrong with it, the dishes I had were bland. I did not try the Vindaloo, but even flavors like cumin and cardamom were very muted. So, TLDR, a nice cullinary change of pace, but not very exciting, more of a takeout/delivery joint, would not bring a first date there (unless they have a liminal space fetish).
