“Had a great time, love the restaurant, but the grilled chicken was over cooked this time, required a steak knife to cut through, it is usually tender, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. With that said, a great restaurant, highly recommend it!“

“Barrow is a Williamsburg want to be. The pseudo health food is anything but. Their chicken wrap was below standard, no taste, all mayonnaise. The service inexistant if you call handing two napkins and forks to a customer as service. Water is self-service from piled up plastic cups and carafes .It was a very disappointing experience.“

“It was my first time & Jerry and the Mermaid & my server was named Lynn. She was a very sweet woman who made my experience even more enjoyable. The oysters were very fresh & briney the way that I like them & me & my friend were seated fairly quickly. The espresso martinis were soooo good, definitely recommend that if you’re into those. I would definitely come back here if I’m ever in the area & in the mood for some good seafood!“

“Went for lunch while in the area and was pleasantly surprised. I did a quick search for gluten free and found this place. My mother has Celiac and was over the moon that she could have anything on the menu! My shakshuka was good, she loved her chicken sandwich. But the star of lunch was the fried calamari. The place is cute and intimate, good music playing. We'll be back next time we're near.“

“We spent valentines at one of our favorite local places yesterday, it was really busy our reservation was at 7 the height of dinner rush. We enjoyed every aspect of JC’s from the hostess to the servers to the much needed delicious dinner and ambiance! We started with chicken nachos and garlic bread, main course we had Norwegian lamb chops on a mountain of potatoes yum! I ordered the panko chicken with baby rigatonis peas buratta in a sherry sauce and what a trip to flavor town! The food here never disappoints even when we order takeout it’s always delicious. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner what a lovely hard working lady! All that she does to provide the best experience shines bright through her staff and patrons. We tested out little cheese cakes that were outrageous I don’t even like cheesecake and I ate them at first not knowing what they were. they were creamy and yummy and delicious I didn’t know I could like something so much that I didn’t like anywhere else. The strawberry was Huge and I ate every last bit we were stuffed I had to take home almost half of my dinner which we ate today! Jcs you do a exemplary service to our town thank you for a wonderful night, my pictures don’t do your food justice but I’m posting them anyway lol!“

“From service to presentation to flavor, North Tavern is absolutely wonderful. The Italian Toast appetizer is a great way to start the meal for a salad/bread plate beginning. The Fish Tasting had beautiful presentation and the flavor was phenomenal! Rounding the dinner off with a warm brownie recommended by our server was the way to go! “Found this local gem on Google. Just what we were looking for on a cool fall afternoon. A plain small diner style place with good food, nice people, and fair prices! I had a mushroom and Swiss burger with well done fries. Cooked a perfect medium as requested. My friend ordered the Western style omelette with cheddar and home fries. I’ll put it this way, not a crumb was left on our plates! Good coffee. It was Halloween and the costumed waitress was applying temporary tattoos. Very fun.This is not a fancy place and it’s small, but you get that small town charm and good food. Nothing to complain about here.“

“Came here the first time I visited Rivehead and now I make sure I leave time to visit each time I come back! I l always order sandwiches because they have not yet disappointed! I've brought my whole family as well as friends here and every single person has LOVED it. The place is family owned and it looks probably a lot like it did when it first opened. So cute and old fashioned. Also, I love their egg creams and their chocolate shakes! Definitely worth ordering. Everything is reasonably priced and just perfectly made. It's just nice to have some simple foods perfectly made! Highly recommend to anyone in town for the day. (Hours are unpredictable so just give them a call before heading over, but honestly it's part of the charm, it's a family place!)“

“I have been going to Riverhead Friendlys for 25 years from Albert the manager and his successor Ritchie and of course seeing Oscar grow from all positions to the manager now was an awesome privilege. “If you can get past the extremely loud bar area to the quiet-ish dining room you'll enjoy yourself. The food is okay. Can tell a lot is cooked from frozen pre-made and overcharged but I guess that's business. Fish and chips clearly from frozen. Corn nuggets clearly from frozen. Disappointed in that because these things are not hard to make and I shouldn't really be paying $25 for a few frozen fish sticks.“

“I loved the old world charm of this hidden gem.While traveling in Riverhead it is infrequent that I am not on a main road.I searched Restaurants in Riverhead was rewarded for my diligence.We shared an appetizer of the “Stuffies” which turned out to be the best baked clams I have had in years.My dinner meatloaf dinner ( true comfort bliss) came with soup of the day, a wonderful creme of tomato soup. This soup was so good it reminded me of the saucy taste of good baked ziti.I was going to order one of the specials which was sauerbraten. One of the last portions were served at the table next to us. (Next time)It looked great, as did all the plates passing by our table.The restaurant was very clean with an old world feel, great service.I will definitely be going back regularly, I will tell my friend’s. “Nice spot right on the water with a varied menu. We loved the raw oysters and the meat and cheese platter. The duck wings were a bit on the tough side but the sauce is a winner. The blackberry margarita sounded great on paper, but in the mouth it wasn't the best combo. They had a band playing in the bar on a Saturday night. Will be a great place to return to when the weather gets warmer and we can eat outside.“

“I visited Diggers many times through the years. I always enjoyed the food and ale. What I don't like is the parking in the back. Seems the foreign folk circle around and park their cars when customers leave. It happen to me this visit. Parking was full but Diggers was empty... You decide.“

“Went with family who raved about this place. It was old school with great service, the owner made me a Moscow mule after I stumped the server! Everyone else ordered prime rib and enjoyed it, my fried chicken was lukewarm and not crispy. Shared a butter cake dessert which was pretty good. “You can't get better food for the price. They also have authentic German beer on tap. This is one of the few places where I will eat a steak because they cook them just as good if not better than me. “We recently ate at the new Italian restaurant named Pulcinella at the rock golf club. We went for our 35th wedding anniversary and we are so glad we did. The decor, the service, and especially the meal were all superb. The portions were large and the prices were high average but well worth it. If you are looking for a great meal in a beautiful setting this is the restaurant you want to try. Reservations suggested.“

“5 star food 3 star service It's nothing to impress by looks, but the food is superb. Just outstanding! The seating is very tight if you dine in the upper dining area. We will definitely be back, but I would request the lower area. It's spaced much better. The evening we went, it was packed house and our server could not keep up. She was nice, but it was difficult to get her when we needed something. Our appetizer plates weren't cleared before our meals came and we were 4 people at a small table. My chair of if I moved at all, backed up into party next to us. But again..the food is unbelievable! That will bring me back for sure.“

“We were going to drive through Riverhead and decided to stop somewhere for lunch. After googling restaurant options we chose Kenny's based on the location, menu and mention on News12 East End. Right away we knew it was the right location. It was a warm, inviting place with seating at tables or the bar. If the weather was not rainy we would have been able to enjoy outdoor seating with views of the golf course and Peconic River. Tim, the bartender introduced himself and asked us our names. He presented us with the regular and specials menu. The menu is very extensive and I was surprised to see how many specials there were. The sliced steak & smoked Gouda melt was a very big sandwich and delicious. I just wish I had taken a picture that reflected how thick it was. Tim was very attentive and friendly with all the clients. It's definitely a place worth returning to.“

It’s a nice atmosphere to have a conversation and play games like connect four while grabbing a snack and a drink. We also met a great waiter and bartender who makes us laugh all the time and now knows our name Jared. Honestly he is one of the reasons we chose to come here.“

“Phil's was pretty nice. It's a decent sized place, the food was great. The waitress was forgetful,to the point she even forgot a whole order of ours. The kitchen had to rush making it so it wasn't exactly what we ordered but didn't want to send it back. Other little things were forgotten and had to be reminded of. The place wasn't too busy but maybe she was new. I understand being frazzled so it's no biggie. I will come back again and you should as well is worth a try like I said the food was very good.“
