“5 star rating for Sport of Kings family resturant in Batavia NY. I met a friend for lunch and I ordered the Greek salad entree along with a cup of loaded pepper soup. The soup was delicious and was filled with stuffed green peppers. The salad was fresh filled with feta cheese plenty of chicken Greek olive onion tomatoe with a large portion of lettuce . Plenty to take home and to enjoy the next day. The Pita bread was nice and warm soft and good. The hostess was friendly greeted us and there wasn't a wait time. Server was Profesional friendly and helpful. The resturant was clean and I love the nice sized parking lot provided.which is steps from the resturant. Thank you Sport of Kings for a pleasurable dining experience.”

“stopped here on the way to Canada! Must visit vegan stop! The carrot dogs were amazing and innovative. The Mac Crunchwrap stole the show. Super nice staff! So glad we saw this on the way to Burger King, it was a much more satisfying choice”

“Wanted to try something different last week and found ourselves in Batavia. Center St has kind of gone downhill with smaller and smaller portions every time I go.Wandered in, quickly sat, host was awesome even when I pressed him for help in choosing between two dishes. I got the ribs, wife got brisket. Wife loved hers, ribs were good too but the sides were out of this world. Not a potato guy but the cheesy potatoes were great. Mac & Cheese also highly recommended!With the lowered expectations from the decline of competitor this was better than expected. Great service, good food, staff was amazing. If you want BBQ and are in Batavia come here.”

“We stopped at Cinquino's on our way through Batavia tonight and had an excellent dinner experience.They have a large corner table that fit our party of 11 plus a baby with room to spare.We ordered the full sheet pizza with mushroom. It was nice and thick, and very tasty. All 11 of us barely finished the 32 slices.We left a good tip and the total (with tip) was just over $40. Service was quick and helpful, good atmosphere, and the food was excellent. This made a phenomenal option for eating out with a larger group.”

“Wow. Obviously popular family restaurant in Batavia that does a fantastic job handling a big crowd. A very friendly, efficient staff keeps things moving along smoothly. Great variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner items and plenty of desserts, too. Service was quick, food delicious, attentive waitress, even though the place was hopping! Home fries are different from any other place, filled with spices. Sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on an English muffin was awesome.”

“Visiting from out of town and needed to hit some balls, and Copperhead Creek came through!! Food is standard grade bar food, but the service and atmosphere were top notch. Extremely friendly and personal, if coming through Batavia, I highly recommend stopping by!!!”

“Sashimi entree was no where near as good as normal. Looks and taste. Soft shell crab appetizer was flavorless cold and came with no dipping sauce. Waitress said no dipping sauce. Never heard of such things.”

“Absolute hidden gem. Already planning our next visit. First impressions last, and the first thing I noticed was the cleanliness. Service was excellent. I ordered the chile relleno poblano with chicken and it was beyond words. One of the best things I've eaten in a long time, truly reminiscent of my father's cooking. You know when your kids eat their whole plate that the food slaps!”

“The service at the bar by Jess is always great. I really enjoy the fish fry and the crunchy shrimp! Today I am trying the Shrimp and Crab Alfredo. My beer of choice is the Tully's Pilsner, but I switch it up and get the EBC Blueberry Ale some times. The atmosphere in here is always perfect too. Tully's in Batavia is our "go-to" spot.”

“This unassuming deli is making some delicious subs! We were looking for a solid lunch to eat during the eclipse viewing, so we picked up an Italian sub. The bread was so fresh and all of the ingredients were high quality. The staff went out of their way to point out their list of signature subs to us and made the sandwich quickly. I was eyeing the desserts they had in the case - next time I’m up here I’ll definitely have to grab a brownie!”

“Windy brew blew me in with its quaint charm and big personality. Upon arrival I noticed right away that it was brighter and cleaner than a sterilized surgical unit! Saturday night wasnt to busy with a few tables laughing and joking like they were having best carnival ride ever. We cozied up to the bar where the bartenders smile drew us in like a sunset at the beach. The menu was not overwhelming and we were able to sample all the delectable liquid before we decided on which glass of paradise we would imbide! Our mouths were filled with ecstasy from every luxurious sip. The hazy IPA left me foggy and fun! The Wind power sour was a turbine of puckering joy for your taste buds..Had a quick bite with the pretzles and dill dip that felt like eating a crunchy dill pickle without the mess! The bartenders banter was welcoming and informataive. It was like talking to your best friend who had the knowledge of the Brewmasrer himself! Let the wind blow you to Batavia past the wannabe breweries right to the front door of Windy brew. You wont be dissapointed!”

“My kids and I ride our bikes through the cemetery often, and this coffee shop is a perfect stop for us. However, I recently bought a new bike and wish the Pub Coffee Hub had a convenient place to lock my bike as I'm not comfortable leaving my new bike unattended outside.”

“Large portions. I ordered a med. but changed it to a small when I saw the size of my grandsons small cone! I edited my review and added a star. When asked why they did not earn 5 stars, I stopped and thought, " I don't know,!" So here as the 5th star as I could think of no reason why not!! ?”

“We're from NYC area, we eat a lot of Italian, and the food at this place really impressed. Pizzas in the wood oven were terrific (we got three), my linguine with clam sauce was full of clams and a great garlicy sauce. Prices were fair, service was lovely.”

“Still excellent! Had the Bubba Gump Burger with shrimp and the Miami Beach burger this time. Fries are still some of the best around as are the onion rings. Place was over half full for lunch with only one server on duty AND she did an amazing job! Read my previous review regarding parking.”

“Once again, another great experience at Los Compadres. Ordered the Birria and Al Pastor tacos with corn tortillas. Delicious. Salsa bar is the best. This is a must do when passing through the area. Only one mile off the NYS Thruway. Worth it.”

I wanted my steak blackened Pittsburg style. The mgr came over to verity my request and mentioned that it would be rare which I understood. Steak was overcooked with little flavor. We also waited more than 20 minutes for our salads. In the meantime a buser came over and asked if we wanted a takeout container for the one roll still in our basket. Weired as they just put it on our table !! Normally, we always enjoyed eating here so this was unexpected. I'm sure having a part time server didn't help. She didn't even know how to open a wine bottle at the other table. When she came back to our table I explained how to open it which she was grateful to hear. Still, we will probably return.”

“I got the Yellow Rice w/ Pigeon Peas & Pernil (Roasted Pork) and it was absolutely delicious. The pork melts in your mouth and falls apart, it is so tender!! This place is a must try in Batavia. The chicken empanadas are scrumptious too!”

“I get coffee from this Dunkin several times a week. My order has only been wrong 1 time out of hundreds. The employees are very friendly, especially super early in the morning when I go, which is a plus. The inside is clean and organized well, but don't expect to sit and eat or drink here, as there's only a couple small tables!”

“First off, I love "off the beaten path" places that are on the far-opposite side of the pretentious spectrum. This place is affectionately known by locals as "The Mogadore", which is synonymous with the North Pembroke hamlet where its located. Since I gravitate to dive bar type places, this would have gotten 5 stars if it weren't for their very limited menu and cash-only policy. Still, they're a solid 4 starts based on: Cozy atmosphere, friendly-as-can-be service, and their wings are nothing short of awesome (2nd best in county, I'm told!). French fries were darn good, and I also hear their Friday fish-fry is excellent as well. In summary, The Mogadore / North Pembroke Hotel is a local gem that has been around for 50 years or more, and that's because it keeps it simple and focuses on their strengths.”

“Standard counter ordering with peanuts while you wait. Extremely large and expensive portions. Small cheeseburger, small hot dog, regular fries. Bill came to 22 dollars with no drink but more than you could eat. Have to have the fries.Seating area needed a deep clean.”

“I live right across the street from this place and the staff has always been super nice to me!!! The one lady that works there always waves to me and my son when we are outside!!! When I first moved into my place I was out by the Rd going for a walk and they all came and introduced themselves.... “After spending 5 days In Cancun, I stopped in the following day and the food at Ranch Viejo is more authentic than you will find in Cancun. And of course Santos is the best and Gilbert is always welcoming!”

“We spent the night here, so we ate here 2 days in a row. The same man helped us both times, and he was very friendly. I had pizza both times. A cheese pizza, and then a plain white pizza. Both were very good, especially for the price. My husband had a salad one day, and a burger the next, and both of those were good, too. They also have to go boxes. If you have a room here, the pizza is a great late night snack.”

“Small bar with a LOT of character. No kitchen, but they have the least expensive beer I've seen since the early 90's. Pool table in the back, easy parking. The owner and patrons were very friendly, and I look forward to visiting again.”

“OMG, are you guys from NYC? I came here three years ago and couldn't find a pizzaria I liked. Matty's Pizza is literally the very best pizza here in Batavia, it tastes like NYC pizza. I tried every pizzeria in Batavia and you guys are the very best here. I mean, I've waited 3 whole years to find a pizzaria that actually tastes good, no lie! Your pizza has good mozzarella cheese and I'm allergic to immitation cheese. Also, the sauce has seasoning on it and that's important. The bottom of the pizza is not burnt nor does it have that nasty residue in the bottom. I didn't struggle eating the pizza either. I just had to take time out writing this well deserved excellent review of you. A diamond in the rough! Will definitely buy again & recommend to anybody I know. Great job!”

“I went in the evening, & bought a large hot Mocha Latte. It tasted good, but not great. Let me say it was most definitely not bad at all either. The Mocha was not very strong, & that's what threw it off. I've had much better one's at the Tim Hortons closer to where I live in City of Batavia. I would obviously be going again. The guy who made it was respectful, & he was also the only one inside. Apparently the other employee thought it was very important to have a cheerful conversation with two other people outside than inside where she works. A 5 star because of the respectfulness that came from the one who made the Mocha Latte, & the next time may also be different.”
