The staff at Carter's work like they care about the place, a rare commodity now days.I enjoyed the lunch special sandwich, the Baggett style bread was fantastic but the sandwich was so oily it made me sick, oil was dripping on my plate forming a little pond.I'll go back, ask for less oil or try to order something else.

I came here relatively late on a Friday night. I had a ticket back home on the Metro-North and I didn't want to miss my train, but I also wanted to grab something to eat. The restaurant staff were very helpful in getting me a bacon burger to go. The burger was fairly greasy. It would've been nice if they included a plastic fork for the coleslaw. Overall, they came in clutch.

First time with friends who love the place! Yesterday was Beacon's St. Pat's parade day so the place was teeming with parade goers. At 5 pm it was loud and welcoming. We originally sat in one place next to a very large party of loud talkers so the waiter found another location for us without asking. How thoughtful...... We were greeted by everyone, the bartender, Maitre D, waiters etc. Welcoming and fast paced. Our drink orders were take and the cocktails were creative and well made. No matter what you are in the mood for, the menu has so many eclectic options we all tried something different. Service is attentive throughout the meal and despite the crowds and chaos ( in a good way) the owner/chef came out to the table. That's when you know its special. We even ordered dessert. Big enough for 4 I must say!!! And delicious. Overall the venue was terrific but the food was the star of the evening. And a special thank you to that staff.

Carter’s came highly recommended from friends as well as on FB lists of local bars. I was there during Happy Hour and when I ordered a glass of Malbec the manager overhead and offered a suggestion that was $4 cheaper because of HH. The environment is laidback and friendly. John was managing that night, his brother was bartending, and their father was creating magic in the kitchen. John recommended the stuffed clams and they were just as promised. I saw another table sharing a large plate of nachos and I’ll have to go back if for no other reason than to try those.
I live in Beacon and this is my favorite place. There is also a large beautiful elegant dining room in the back if you have a large party.. Great meal and doing experience. We're considering having a wedding in the area. We had heard that Carter's did catering with our potential venue and had just walked in to have lunch. When we told the waiter we were interested in their catering, he got the owner, John, who took the time to sit down with us and describe their catering packages and to get to know us. His kindness and service were outstanding, and the food was delicious!
