First time with friends who love the place! Yesterday was Beacon's St. Pat's parade day so the place was teeming with parade goers. At 5 pm it was loud and welcoming. We originally sat in one place next to a very large party of loud talkers so the waiter found another location for us without asking. How thoughtful...... Carter’s came highly recommended from friends as well as on FB lists of local bars. I was there during Happy Hour and when I ordered a glass of Malbec the manager overhead and offered a suggestion that was $4 cheaper because of HH. The environment is laidback and friendly. John was managing that night, his brother was bartending, and their father was creating magic in the kitchen. John recommended the stuffed clams and they were just as promised. I came here relatively late on a Friday night. I had a ticket back home on the Metro-North and I didn't want to miss my train, but I also wanted to grab something to eat. The restaurant staff were very helpful in getting me a bacon burger to go. The burger was fairly greasy. It would've been nice if they included a plastic fork for the coleslaw. Overall, they came in clutch.
