“My husband and I went to burrata for dinner today. It was a Saturday so we did have to wait around 50 minutes, so I would suggest making a reservation online if possible. We grabbed a drink at the bar next door while we waited. I really liked a the ambiance of the place- modern yet homey feel. Service was excellent, food came in a timely manner. We ordered the Araninci which was delicious, the burrata - yum. For mains we ordered the pappardelle which was really good, and the mushroom jalapeño pizza which we also enjoyed. For dessert we had the tiramisu which from a distance I thought looked like a store bought tiramisu because they wrap it in one of those plastic pieces to keep it together, but once the waiter opened it up all of the cream at the top fell to the sides like lava! It was really good- coming from someone who is very picky about tiramisu! Drinks- I had an espresso martini (no baileys) which was also good Definitely will be coming back here- with a reservation next time!“

“We found this place on a spur of the moment lunch date decision and so glad we did as we really enjoyed ourselves so much. The pizza is fantastic and we also enjoyed a shrimp app with this incredible tomato sauce and got cheese served with some crust to soak up that yummy sauce. The owner Stephanie I think is her name was so welcoming and even let our dog come join us as it was late and not crowded in the front. Our service was perfect too and I will return for sure maybe for dinner to try the other pasta dishes and more pizza.“

Old school pizza, pizza. Bob's delivered. Literally. From Tappan to Upper Saddle River they brought some of the best "plain" slices I've had since moving to NJ - and it showed up quick, hot and totally in tact. We fking loved this pizza. “An old school authentic Italian deli run by mom, dad, and their son. The food is outstanding, I had an Italian Combo and my wife had a turkey sub, there was no skimping on the ingredients, WOW! As for the pizza ? we traveled here from Cape Cod in search of the best pizza from Rockland County NY through Bergen County NJ. We eventually landed here at Petrillos and met John and his parents working behind the counter. An old school hard-working family making traditional pizzas. We were blown away by what they had created, a super tasty combination of classic sauce and the perfect amount of cheese on a slightly crispy underbody with a soft but crisp crust. We ordered 13 pizzas that day, 10 plain,1 green pepper & onion, and 2 chicken cutlet and cherry pepper. After trying the Chicken cutlet and cherry pepper I called the next morning and ordered 3 more...wow it was awesome. Upon picking up the pizzas Sunday morning we discovered John making breakfast on the flat-top grill so my wife ordered French toast and bacon, yum! We gave this establishment a 5-star review but on a scale of 1-10 we gave our highest review 9.8 only because there has to be room for something higher, we just haven't found it yet. “Gorgeous place, food was good ( mushrooms candified, but french fries perfected as well as slices). Ice cream ( over the top) service girl had an attitude and my son was offended. She ignored him and I had to go up there. Didn't want to be bothered with him having a sample before he bought. For out of town, it was the most expensive food we ever bought. Prices way too high. No sense of management present ( Sunday). Heavy traffic but we got a table instantly. Cleaning of tables and floors also needs management attention, although worker very dedicated - just needs a little training.“

“Cool new spot in town! I was reluctant to try this place out but I decided to give it a try after seeing a nice crowd in there. It turns out there is a new owner, he just kept the name of the place the same. A mistake in my opinion but at least he did one good thing. He hired a great bartender named I know from Barrel and Brew. This guy can make a great drink and he is so personable. He interacts well with guests and designed a great menu of drinks. I enjoyed a couple of delicious margaritas while I was there. They also had a DJ named Bronson playing some great music. I look forward to seeing how this place does because I've always said this spot would make a great bar because of the nice patio outside. It would make a great hangout for the summer. I can't really comment on the food because I only tried an order of wings but they were good. The ambience though gave me reason to believe this place could make it at this spot.“

“Had a wonderful experience at al di la! We arrived a little before 12 pm and was empty so we got to enjoy the quiet but it got filled up while we were sitting. The atmosphere is calm. There isn't a very bug menu but the food is really good. We had their famous salad pizza and didn't disappoint! We also ordered a hot coca which was perfect for this cold rainy day and a delicious salmon pizzaoili. The Eggplant rollantini was good as well. Will definitely be coming back here!“

“I stopped into La Bona Pizza after a drive up in Old Tappan and tried a slice of their cheese pizza. It is excellent!. The sauce has so much flavor and that makes the base of the pizza. They are a little on the pricy side but it is well worth it. The rest of their pizzas on display looked really good but they were $4.00 a slice which was a little high for me but there were some creative topping like Chicken Parm and Baked Ziti.“

“Where do I begin? We had our daughter's party scheduled from 3:00pm-5:00pm and from the moment we came in, the staff greeted us. We met our hostess Lisa almost immediately as she came right out to introduce herself and walk us over to our table. We got there about half an hour early and everything was already nicely set up. “I have passed this place thousands of times, but never ate here. I stopped in tonight and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered pizza, 2 heroes and some cannoli's to go. The pizza was excellent and in my opinion, better than the pizza at other nearby restaurants! The heroes also got great reviews!! Although I'm not a huge fan of cannoli's, they were very good and hit the spot :) I have no idea why it took me so long to try this place out, but I will def. be back! Alex and his team are making some of the best thin crust pizza in the area.We came in with a group of six, and they happily accommodated us. They were friendly, welcoming, and the food was delicious. The crust was thin thin thin, and the cheese and sauce were the perfect mix of salty and sweet. I wish I had taken photos of the rest of our food, but we ate it too quickly (that’s how good it is!) We had two plain small thin crust pies, a half pepperoni/half sausage, and a small thin crust with half “the works” and half veggie. We also got a salad and two Italian subs and an arugula salad. Everything we ate was fantastic!We also got to meet the owner Alex, who has put his heart and soul into this place. He is a stand-up guy who really cares about his customers. “This place in New York was on the youtube video one bite. The moment we got there, the owners had me laughing. They were so nice and funny....I actually asked if a one point were they comedians. Very friendly atmosphere again, family friend orientated. Food was freaking fantastic. Left with a very full belly and cheeks hurting from so much laughter!!!! “Dante's is a great place. We have been delivery customers for a few years always enjoying dinners, apps as well as fantastic pizza. Deliveries are always quick and efficient . Friday we had to stop by a chef from the CIA who lives in Cresskill and we mentioned feeling like a nice bowl of pasta. So it was no surprise that Dante's was the pick. It's definitely one of the best around. The menu is fairly priced, they are absolutely affordable and the menu is thoughtfully put together. Service was great . Our waiter "E" did a great job. He was on point with his attentive service. He was assisted by another young man and for Lydia and me , we appreciate seeing teamwork. It's what makes restaurants work well. Super friendly atmosphere and service with even faster food times. I asked for a slice of the pesto pizza, they grabbed and reheated in the pizza oven. “I want to start by saying we love Jack’s Restaurant and have been loyal customers since they first opened, it’s our go to place in town. The food and customer service are always top notch and its very family friendly. With that said, I’m actually writing this review in response to a past review. I would like to sincerely thank Shane and the entire Jack’s staff for coming to my child’s defense. I am the mother and was part of the” loud party” the reviewer was speaking of. First let me start by stating the “loud party” consisted of myself, my 7 yr old son, my mother and sister, (3 adults & 1 child), so I do not consider ourselves a “loud party”. I am very mindful of going to dinner with a child and big on respecting other customers. I try and attend family friendly restaurants, request to sit in an area that will not disturb others and when possible, go at earlier times. I am also VERY mindful of the volume on my child’s tablet. In the instance the gentleman is referring to, is the time my 7 yr old turned his Ipad on and had time to hit the volume button. My sister could tell the lady at the table next to us was upset by the initial volume, so she ensured my son made the volume extra low, so as not to further disrupt their evening. With that the woman turned to me and asked had I never heard of headphones, I responded with we noticed the volume bothered you and told my son to lower it, which he did, so let it go, she began to berate me and my son on how allowing my child to have his iPad at the table, is what’s wrong with the world today and telling me how I should raise him. With this her husband began to chime in, I told them both, they had no right to tell me how to raise my child and it was like 5:30 on a Wednesday evening, and I requested a table in the back, as to not bother other customers, to please leave us alone and they were scaring my son and if we annoyed them that much they could move, with that he stood up and began to raise he voice louder and yell that this whole situation is actually the restaurants fault for allowing children and opened his walking stick by slamming it on the ground towards us, and yelled they are leaving. With that another table with three children asked for their check and food be wrapped, as the gentleman, scared their children too. Our waitress came over, followed by Shane, enquiring what took place and could see how shaken up my son was and the children at the other table. I am sincerely thankful for Shane's response of asking the customer not to return, as they are a family friendly restaurant, and cannot have any customer, young or old, made to feel frightened or uncomfortable, and coming to our defense when being berated by two unknown adults. Shane may not have been present for the altercation (with a 7yr old) but the whole back of the restaurant was and could attest to how completely out of control and over the top this couple was and how no one has the right to reprimand or say anything to someone else’s child. As stated above, we have always loved Jack’s but that day put them in a league of their own in my eyes. Its not always you find a true and genuine person who puts the needs and security of your child before their own pockets and that’s what Shane did for us.“
