“Love this place! Quick and professional, very friendly. The coffee tastes better and the price is actually a little lower, i think?? The store does a lot of business volume yet they are still nice. Well staffed with good people. The location is worth a million dollars, its at a relatively major intersection, on a roundabout. But still has parking because most customers use the drive thru“

“Star’s Cafe is the quintessential hometown place where locals gather and warm hearted joking abounds. The food is classic diner menu, all perfectly prepared and arriving hot with generous portions. The surprise menu item is the homemade soups and they are phenomenal!!!! Tomato and spinach with tortellini was outstanding and paired well with the three cheese grilled cheese. It is surprising that they can serve the quality and quantity of food for incredibly reasonable prices. It is an easy on/off the NY Thruway and well worth the stop. This hidden gem of upstate NY is not to be missed.“

“My daughter and I are from NJ and were traveling back down from Burly, VT after the GAI waterfront concert last weekend. We shad booked overnight in amsterdam at the castle hotel nearby on Saturday night as a place to stay before we headed to Hobart book village on our way home on Sunday. On Sunday morning my daughter found G's for us for breakfast. It was quite the experience. The food was delicious and the homemade breads used in my breakfast sandwich and my daughter's GF breakfast pizza were amazing! And the coffee was delicious and just right. But the people were the highlight. The owner and her husband, a local teacher, were so kind and friendly and so were the locals, who kept streaming in and out for their am pastries and coffee. We met some really nice folks and left with a full homemade delicious meal in our bellies that carried us through the entire day.I don't know if I would go back to Amsterdam NY for the "castle" (for over $300 per night it was OK and offered no sit down breakfast there for guests) but if I'm ever within an hour of the area again soon, I will definitely find my way to G's!!!“

“Awesome cafe. Hours aren't same as laundymat. Wednesday and Saturday closes at 2, closed Sundays, all other days closes at 4. Great coffee and food while waiting for laundry. We loved it on our first visit but cafe was closed last couple times so asked for hours. Very sweet and helpful employee. I don't give 5 stars often but she was a 10! Will definitely be back! Kudos!“
