“Discovered this gem on my drive from Northern Cal to Boston in January. Joe’s shop is on the Mohawk River below Amsterdam Castle & next to the original Erie Canal Store! Historical ambiance off the charts here. Oh & he cooks up a lot more than hot dogs. His meat-sauce omelette is a solid culinary 10.“

“The food was delicious. The prices are fair. They toys outside for the children to play with really impressed me. The sitting options also impressed me. The only thing I would recommend is a fan outside for the warmer days as there is not much shade. The cashier was pleasant. I can honestly say this place is really a happy place. ?

“Highly recommend! And we will definitely be back! We had a large party of more than 35 people last night. The staff graciously added extra tables and chairs for us as we had more people than we originally thought. The food was fantastic and there was plenty of it! The waitresses were phenomenal! Very attentive and accommodating. Not to mention doing a superb job being we did separate checks all around. They stayed on top of drinks and all the extras that were asked for. I wish I caught their names and the 3 of them deserve a huge shout out! Thank you for making our visit pleasurable!“

“Despite the looks this place is actually really good. The wings are massive and they have a large variety of sauces you can order, probably over 20. While the decor leaves much to be desired it's the food that holds the place up. Fairly priced and reasonably quick service.“

“This is a great stop on the lake. The atmosphere is amazing, and the food is decent. Unfortunately, they got rid of their mozzarella sticks, which were great. The menu is a little bland but the prices are decent and the staff is usually very busy so service isn't stellar but the atmosphere and drinks make up for it! Lake access is great from the boats, the live music is awesome and the energy their is so much fun. It's definitely worth a visit if you are looking to top off your lake day with some good food, music, and some corn hole!!“

“Nice restaurant in Amsterdam, NY. Food was good. I had Tacos and family had quinoa salad, chicken and fries. We loved the dinner. The price was reasonable. It was evening of september so some bugs attracted to light in outside sitting but was not much of a bother. Overall nice place to have a dinner in the area.“

“Found this place by accident on our adventures yesterday for the 4th . Loved every minute I was there . Atmosphere is welcoming and laid back. The bartender was solo and running the bar, as well as cooking and serving all the food. She handled it so well and we got our drinks and food quickly. The food is very good and the servers are professional and friendly. On the rare occasion that something doesn't measure up to their usual good standards, the staff is swift to make things right. “The girl there is really rude, her customer service was bad, I usually visit this place once or twice a month, star is usually there and she is very professional but today was not good. I am a person who gives tips but the way I was treated today on 5/14/2024 was unacceptable. She charged me extra money for a container to put my food in it. I can’t wait to see star to speak to her about this situation

“I went to Raindancer. Amazing appetizer. The salad came if they took other people’s left over salad & just threw it on a plate. Sloppy presentation. Waitress apologized saying she had to prepare the salad. No one was working in the kitchen. Then the 12 oz Prime Rib was full of fat. Manager just cut the fat off & told us she prepared another Prime rib. We were charged full price for the meal, that took long. The had was small and barely noticed it was stuffed. Disappointed. The food & service usually is great. Don’t known what happened.“

“Haven’t been to the recovery room in years. We were driving through Amsterdam and decided to get a bite to eat. We all were very happy with our experience. The service was great and their Cajun shrimp pasta was truly delicious. I’ll be going back just for that dish“
