I don't know why there are not more reviews of this restaurant. It is a treat for all. Perhaps the primary clientele, Hasidic Jews from the neighborhood don't use Yelp? Upon entering, you can see all the details and care put into this place, a great sign. The service and food are top notch. Small, intimate oasis in the hustling neighborhood of Crowne Heights. I will return.
They are very focused on their method.Come here if you are ready to try out of the box foods. After all its a moroccan that loves ashkenazi food, go figure!They want to keep to their standard always, so no changes to their food whatsoever.Staff is usually friendly, bill is usually somewhat expensive. The warm embrace of the owner of this charming cafe reminded me of the very best of the Israeli family feeling of decades ago. It was like walking into a time machine of feelings and tastes, while at the same time experiencing the depth of flavors developed over the past few decades. Everything was better than the memories and I walked out feeling nourished nutrionally, culturally, and more importantly by a sense of connection to our great Jewish family.
