Our first and most likely last visit to this cafe. Solyanka is not a solyanka. This cannot be done by a cook, only a bad apprentice cook, and besides, it was not hot. We ordered the most expensive salad for 8.50, it’s just food with no taste or pleasure. Stuffed cabbage rolls with chicken are also not cabbage rolls, but a parody. It seems that instead of cooks, random people work there and the owner of the business does not care that the plates are returned to the kitchen half full. The place “sells itself” so it doesn’t care about quality and service. The coffee was not bad, the decoration inside was also in the “Russian samovar style”. The prices pleased me and that’s probably all I liked here!

I recently visited a Coffee Spot Cafe in Sheepshead Bay and was pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of bakery items. Opting for the ones that looked the healthiest, I made a good choice because each one turned out to be absolutely delicious!

This is beautiful place with plenty of potential, but after my third visit, I decided it would be my lastI called for a pick up for a chicken wrap and arrived in about 5 minutes. They tell me they’re still preparing it so I pay while I wait. It was a 20 minute wait from when I put in the call, and while waiting I was asking for an update, I even showed the call I made for pick up. Everyone ignored meThe manager was smoking an electric cigarette on her shift and ignored me until I said hello in Russian. I explained that I wanted my money back and ONLY then did they finally give me my wrap. It fell apart and wasn’t fresh, which makes it difficult to say that the wait wasn’t reasonable. I felt prejudice in their service, and it means that I won’t be back.Phone ordered need to be organizedFresh food means more tipsStaff shouldn’t be smoking in front of food/drinksStaff needs additional training to keep all customers happy, not just the ones that look and sound like them

It’s one of few places in New York, where you feel very “ home-like “ atmosphere. It starts with collection of vintage and antique coffee grinders spread thru place, including vintage camera, paintings and over all design. Coffee and food is very good. Place is very popular with locals. Since it’s located in Sheepshead Bay Area of brooklyn, patrons are very diverse. I usually drop off for cappuccino or coffee lathe with pastry. As it warms out you can enjoy your coffee and food outside. I see same people coming day after day , I usually drop off in a morning at start of my shift, before calls start come in.
Feel uncomfortable there.. wait, 5 minutes to place an order, they never took my order for a coffee, the staff look at me on ignored me.. so i walk

Very nice spot for a quick coffee and a pastry. This place also has bid variety of cooked food. The most important part is they have consistency. Always have the quality of coffee, tea and of course pastries. Never gotten worse since they opened.

Staff is rude and not willing to help unless you go up and ask and even then it’s like pulling teeth. Also, hate to say it but I feel hints of racism and superiority complex from the workers. I’ve been there about 10 times and each time was hopeful my experience would be different but no. Still the same unprofessional service and side eyes. Came to a boiling point today and decided to write this review. Prob a better experience for Slavic/Balkan customers. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone else if at all. ✌️
