Amazing pizza place in Brooklyn with outstanding service. Used to visit the place all the time when living in the area. The pizza man would let our daughter sit a the counter and help him make mini pizzas for her; she always loved the experience.
Update - due to COVID DaCiro closed. There is a new restaurant in its place but I have not tried it yet. I think the same guy that made the bread and pizza is still there which you would then be in for a treat. The appeal about DaCiro was the friendly staff and the bar area with all the local regulars chatting and sharing good old days stories. I'd been a customer of Da Ciro for close to 15 years when they were located on the East Side of Manhattan. The food was always perfect and Ciro was such an incredible, warm and sincere host! When Ciro sold the building and closed the restaurant I was deeply saddened! A few years later I discovered he opened a new place in Brooklyn. I got in a taxi and made the trip that evening. The atmosphere is less upscale but still inviting and the food is unquestionably the same perfection....read full review
