A person that was behind the counter was very rude and nasty to me while I was trying to order and while I was trying to see what my family of 12 wanted from DD. She was giving very rude gestures and telling her coworker next to her that he is taking too long and he need to hurry up. To avoid anything else I walked out of DC.

The customer service in this location is deplorable, combative, and highly unprofessional. On June 21, 2023, I entered the business in a healthy and jovial energetic space. I ordered my drink and presented my coupon, hoping to retrieve my classic donut. Instead, I was immediately commanded to read the description of the offering to the cashier. I suggested she scan the barcode. However, she refused. A female worker with a burgundy pole shirt approached and stated, "Don't take that we don't accept that. She's lying. That's not ours." I insisted she read the details while using my finger to direct her attention to the coupon, which reflected the DD logo. The cashier seemed scared as she stated, "She is the boss, and she said no, so I can't." While this is happening, another customer (dressed in a gray athletic sweat suit) at the reguster parallel to where I stood presented her coupon from the DD app. The same woman in the Burgundy polo shirt questioned the authenticity of the coupon. I'm concerned the woman in the burgundy polo shirt who seems to be the shift supervisor is with limited effective communication skills and not able to understand the details in the coupon, and condemn customers and expects them to console her limitations. She was hostile and verbally violent against us, although she was primarily tending to the other customer. When I suggested she stop being violent, she replied, "I'm not speaking with you, I'm talking to her," while referencing the cashier who was tending to me. I want the surveillance reviewed. The cashier serving me never lifted the scanner to scan my coupon. I'm also concerned that the supervisor and staff have created a culture of provoking customers, being verbally violent, and denying customers DD benefits and perks due to them as members. This is a serious issue. I patronize DD daily and have not ever seen such an uproar over a donut. I'm confident this is more about the supervisors' inability to render quality customer care, which will hinder the progression of this establishment. At least 4 customers departed the business during this violent interaction. All the supervisor had to do was scan the coupon barcode on my device and the other customer's device since it was being presented and readily available to her. Then, if the transaction hadn't processed, I'd understand her not wanting to provide us our perks. She adamantly and repeatedly stated "We're not accepting that here." I purchased my drink, sat at the table in the restaurant and completed my survey and this review. I also reported back to the counter and in a calm tone stated "See ma'am this is the survey customer complete, entitling the receipt of a donut or whatever the perk or benefit is." The woman in the Burgundy shirt, without tact replied "We don't take that here, I already told you." This needs to be addressed expeditiously. I'm concerned about all the other community members who are without the bandwidth to follow-up, write an email and/or review detailing their experience (healthy or unhealthy). We must do better in our communities. The approach of the shift supervisor does not model to her staff or customers, quality customer care.Update on 6/23/2023: If staff at this location is being urged to refrain from adhering to the agreement/offers of the survey, the receipt at this location should NOT reflect a survey. Please know that people in this community read and complete surveys! If this particular establishment will not fulfill the agreed upon terms of the survey, the survey should be removed from the receipt. I have NOT received a follow-up from this business.
