Love Giovanni's! The short rib tagliatelle is an absolute must. Almost every time I've gone, Giovanni himself is there to greet customers as the door. In a big city, Giovanni makes you feel like you've entered a little small town, gem of restaurant where everyone knows you. Can't wait for its return!

I always get their their fettuccine Alfredo! Think they make pasta noodles in the house - they are perfectly chewy and bouncy! Love their fettuccine noodle ? I can kinda taste rosemary in the sauce which is pretty unique but I still love it. I like their warm and welcoming vibe - they once had a live music going on around Christmas. I don’t come here as often as my bf moved to a different neighborhood but I hope they reopen soon so I can come and get their fettuccine Alfredo again!

I ate there before they closed. With any luck it will stay closed permanently. Overpriced trash food masquerading as " authentic Italian food". What a joke. Do not order the spaghetti and meatballs. You will get a ball of prison style noodles,.99 cents pasta sauce, and meatballs that taste like they came out of an elementary school cafeteria from the 1970s. Nice looking place and friendly staff. Food just does not cut it. My bill was over $100 dollars and we went home not satisfied.Never again.

I love Giovanni's. Clean and COVID safe, great food, has gluten free options, and good service. You can't do better with an affordable Italian neighbor place in the Park Slope/Windsor Terrace area.

If I can give this place a big fat zero I would! The service here was horrible! I ordered Salmon, well done. It came raw in the middle! Yuck!Told the employee, and he asked if I want them to cook the piece that is raw... Like what!!They were not accommodating with this situation. We had to ask for the check twice! This was my birthday lunch and it was horrid! The table was sticky. The glasses with TuneIn down on the table and the waitress almost seemed annoyed that we asked for additional glasses. That's my first time being here it was horrid awful! I will never recommend and I will never return here.***To the "Owner,"replying to what I expressed in my experienced at Giovanni's.... Sir you do not know what you are talking about! Your waitress asked how I would like my salmon- I replied to her, WELL DONE! LIKE I ALWAYS HAVE IT.Like I had it the night before for my birthday dinner- at another restaurant, that i gave '5stars' to and i had pleasant service!... Instead of coming on here telling me what I ordered instead of asking a question or taking my comments and doing better for your next patrons... Say's a lot.I don't care what you have to say, at this point. I will never return. ** Train your Waitresses! & Your Cook!** I DONT EAT RAW SALMON!!

Excellent service with a very lively atmosphere. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and the desserts are amazing (especially the cannoli!)

Celebrating Father's Day and this is what we get: Terrible service, long wait time, the waitress was horrible. You would think we were eating here for free to receive this kinda service. Forced to give it a star to post my review

I walked by and sat on the bench in front to tie my shoes. Google asked how my experience was. The food smelled great and the place is a customer magnet. I had it twice before. Great food but on the day Google asked me my experience, the bench was soft, nobody asked me to get up. Five stars as a place that allows u to sit for a few to tie your shoes ?

This is the best place when it comes to getting all your needs catered. Gabrielle (Hope I spelled her name right), went above and beyond to make sure all my guests were happy. The other servers were delightful and made the service smooth. The food was great. Will definitely recommend anyone to go there.Kid-friendliness: They had lots of highchairs available. There was also space for a stroller. The servers were attentive to all the kids and smiling.

We used to dine in at Giovanni's regularly. But after the recent birth of our daughter, we have been doing take out. The food is excellent; the vegetable lasagna was delicious and linguini and clams was perfect. We can't wait to get back in house and enjoy a meal with live music. Cheers Gio and see you soon!

The best Spaghetti alla Puttanesca and most tender, flavorful meatballs I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Fresh, delicious and authentic. Service was excellent. A talented jazz quartet played while we dined. An absolute gem in Park Slope.
