As a native Brooklynite who grew up close to this neighborhood, I'm embarrassed to admit that this was the first time I visited Michael's Pastry Shop. They are owned by Michael's of Brooklyn restaurant (an absolute must!) right across the street. The staff was friendly and helpful, the prices reasonable, and they offered everything you could think of from Italian cookies to pastries, cakes, and beyond.
