My husband was feeling snackish after an impromptu visit to the Merry Shelley last weekend but wanted something more substantial than their small bites so we came here. We didn't have to drive far to find parking but it might be a longer hike on busier nights. Not sure how it took me so long to try their food! But I’m sure glad I finally did!I went in Hot Mama’s Canteen on a Saturday night around 11pm. The kitchen was still open , however there was an event happening so there was a woman charging $5 at the door. Our group of 3 were only there for food, we explained this to the woman and she still said we would have to pay the cover fee. So we left, called and ordered take out. Valerie developed her own beer batter, and they have $2 off the fish fry during Friday happy hour this time of year!Also, the dance nights are some of the best I've found. But whatever you're into, Hot Mama's probably has a night for it, karaoke, trivia, pool, sports, etc. Those are just my favorites.
