Ever been asked to leave your table at a restaurant/bar by the owner because they needed to seat other people. Now there were six of us at the table with a bill of at least $35- 40 each and one couples bill was almost $400.00 because they had treated their family who had left already. We were actually there to see and support the band we love so much. No where did it say you can only stay for one set. She didn't ask the white group of couples (table of 4) to leave. When she saw our reaction she said never mind .To late ruined the mood. More things took place at the beginning of the meal but just want to say … .I'm done, won't go back.

Food was great! Maybe the best fried chicken I have ever had! Sides were really good, too, especially the greens. And dessert—peach cobbler—was delicious. Service was super friendly and very (but not overly) attentive. Went with friends. Will definitely go back with the kids.

Went on a Friday, the fish and shrimp was great, seasoned well. Cabbage reminded me of my granny cooking the live music was great, jazz and piano set the mood will definitely visit every time in town 5

I wanted to love this place, but it fell a little flat to me. Ordered the fish fry and it was pretty small and didn't taste like much. The fries were basic frozen guys...could be an easy fix to either get different ones or cook the ones you are serving properly. The Mac and cheese was pretty good though. Service was OK, but for a table of 7, it could have been a little better. Food came out in a few cycles and a few things were not brought out until we asked. The pound cake was very tasty. There seemed to be a lot of customers here though, so maybe we just had an off night!

Great food, friendly service and atmosphere. Live music on Friday nights. Food was delicious and portions were big and fairly priced. If you're looking for some soul food made with love and to be treated like family in a diverse fun atmosphere, this is the spot! Last Friday was our third time there and we will definitely become regulars.
I got the catfish dinner with yams and Mac and it was sooo good. Everyone was so friendly and the service was top tier.
