“This is amazing food! I haven't had anything better on this plate. The falafel was beautifully crisp and internally fluffy. The best tabouli, I think the seasoning have sumac in it which really brings everything together. The kibbie was beautifully textured also super balanced. I will be coming back! Please come too!“

“This place is great! I called in the order for pickup and got one medium chicken shawarma and one medium falafel. The owner was pleasant over the phone and in person. Both wraps were fresh, hot and delicious. The shawarma is excellent though the falafel was my favorite. Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed!“

“This is very small restaurant on Sheridan Dr., near Millersport. There are 5 tables set for 2; 5 tables set for 4 and one table set for 8. I ordered the falafel wrap. It comes with hot-out-of-the-fryer fries. These were great. The very large wrap is filled with several falafel balls, tahini and chopped salad. It has been a while since I enjoyed falafel. This wrap did not disappoint. It was delicious.“

“MashAllah excellent foodQuick service, clean environment, very reasonable price, generous amount of food. The cook is super nice, he comes out personally to ask about dishes (be a bit patient as his English isn’t the best but he will not disappoint with his fantastic food). Their mandi is amazing, highly recommend!“

“This was my first time at the Yemen star and trying Yemen food! And boy am I glad I did! I am not a person that likes spicy food so The staff recommended the grilled chicken and my husband who eats anything said you choose for me and he had beef kelabah with hummus and both were amazing. The flatbread hot and flavorful and the hummus very tasty! One of the chefs came out and took very good care of us and we will definitely be back! It was our 18th anniversary and traveled from Jamestown, New York on a recommendation and are very glad we did. Thank you, Yemen star“

“My wife had recently discovered this place while out with a friend, and was insistent I try it. We ordered a lamb shank and a side of large garlic toum/aioli. The lamb shank on rice was roughly $16.99, and the side of large garlic toum/aioli was roughly $7. The place had a few tables, though it was very empty and we had already decided to take the food to go. We shared this and it was more than enough for the two of us. The gentleman working there was also very friendly. Lamb is generally fatty, which is why it needs to be had with something like rice to absorb the flavor. This is what makes this dish just perfect. This is an underrated Arabic dish, not spicy but flavorful, and something many locals would love if they just gave it the opportunity. Either way, I would definitely visit again if in the mood for this particular dish.“

“Peace be upon you, today, before entering the holy month, I went with one of the Syrian brothers, and I was very happy when I saw the place crowded with shoppers, and the queues at the cashier were long, but the service was fast, and when I completed and my friend completed the accounting, and when we left the door, my friend had bought a lot of things, and I am the owner of the store, and he greeted us. We thanked him for the quality of service and some bags of bread fell from the cart. The shop owner rushed inside and returned to us with additional bags to put our belongings in. In fact, I wanted to thank this humble man and wish him success.“

“Probably the closest to Long Island/NYC style halal chicken over rice bowls I’ve found up here in Buffalo. Generous portions for prices much cheaper than you would be paying at some restaurant.I got the chicken over rice bowl and it was great. Pita was very soft, rice was moist, and chicken was tender and flavorful. Chicken didn’t really taste like it was cut off a spit though not sure if they do that here. The place is low key a shack I won’t lie but it’s one of those places where you just walk into and immediately KNOW the food is gonna be fire.Definitely want to try their other menu items.“
