We arrived right when they opened at 5pm. The host was nice and helpful throughout our experience. However, I was shocked to see the establishment had not been cleaned. There were crumbles etc still on various tables the floor had not been swept. There was little soap left in the bathroom dispenser and no paper towels. I order the gumbo-laya. It was decent. My friend ordered the challenger burger……the presentation of the burger was great. However, it had a hair on it so it was not eaten. We received an order of shrimp tacos that were okay. Overall not the greatest experience and would not come back.

Good bar selection, we both had local draft beers, also ordered some fried pickles and hush puppies to share. The fried pickles were so good with the dipping sauce, the hush puppies could have used a bit more flavor. For entrees we had blackened chicken with shrimp and chicken n' biscuits. Yum

By far my favorite place to eat! The food is AMAZING, and the service is even better!

The food at The Bayou is top notch, the bar is incredibly relaxed and fun. The owner and the staff are so nice and welcoming. Every dish I have ever tried has been amazing. The Buffalo chicken and shrimp pizza-boys are some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The margaritas are so delicious and great portioned sized. If you are looking for real southern style cuisine this is the place to be. It is my absolute favorite locally owned restaurant!

DO NOT GO HERE!! Got the Gumbo to go. $14 later I'm sitting at the dinner table with a TINY bowl of thin, oily gumbo with exactly ZERO pieces of chicken in it. Gumbo is supposed to be thick and hearty. And I have no idea how they think this cup of gumbo could be considered an entrée. Guess I'll have to go to mcdonalds when I get hungry later. Besides the food being a terrible value and not very good, they did absolutely nothing to renovate or reinvigorate that space. Still the same old dingy dark place that Mr Bills was. The staff seemed to struggle to coordinate and ring out a take out order. And to quote Peter Griffin, they "look like they'd be sticky if I touched them". Overall a terribly underwhelming experience that I wish never to repeat. Very disappointing, I was really looking forward to trying this place!

The food is good here but I bought 3 whiskeys and they charged an extra $6.00 for my drinks because they were on the rocks. My wife ordered 2 tall deep eddy and lemon and they charged $3.00 extra for water. I've never been anywhere that charged for water or ice! If we ever go and eat there it'll be just take out. We'll have our beverages somewhere else.

Great service. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. They had lots of good southern dishes for a New York State restaurant.I will be back for sure.

I was really craving crawfish etouffee but they didn't have crawfish! They were out of a few other things and it was only 5:30. My husband had the muffuletta which came on a very small roll and tasted just like a cold cut sandwich, nothing special. Other in our party had gumbalaya which was just ok and PB and candied bacon burger that was fairly good. I had the signature chicken and waffles that was actually pretty good! I'll give them awhile and maybe try again but was not to impressed.

Been there twice, bad the first, worse the second. Tried the fish fry, it had an extremely fish odor and a very "off"taste. It went right into the trash as it's not worth getting sick over.

My wife and I just had the fish fry there and it was the best fish fry we've had in ages. Our server Nick was excellent and I have to recommend the Georgia Tea!

The fish was great! Small but great taste. The sides well were a child’s handful of fries if that and something they tried to say was coleslaw left a disgusting taste on the pallet! I paid 50.00 for 3 and it wasn’t worth it at all.
