I love Wegmans and this location is no different. With it being in the city, it's evident that both the parking lot and store are smaller than suburban locations but they do their best to maximize the space. The parking spots are narrower than suburban locations, but there is a lot of parking. The store felt slightly more cramped than my go-to location, even shopping with a small cart was tight to navigate through the produce section and the aisles were busy with shoppers and staff restocking. It's also a busy location, even on a Friday afternoon. But the store was clean and well organized, and they had a lot of registers open and staffed by courteous cashiers. The quality and selection of their food is fantastic, better than most grocery stores in the area.

Wegmans clearly overcharges for their roses during peak demand (i.e. Valentine's Day). Yes, flowers should be more expensive during this period of time where a lot of people are buying them for loved ones, however they are not keeping with competative pricing of other stores like Aldi, Trader Joes and Save-a-lot, and in fact are more expensive than Tops. Consider that a dozen roses at Wegmans are currently priced at $22 and at Aldi the very same color, same stem length and quality are $9.99 a dozen. I reached out and instead of trying to rectify that discrepancy and give me a retroactive price adjustment they said it is their price based on market demand.

This is my go-to supermarket in Buffalo--this particular Wegmans location. The service (with few exceptions), has been top-notch for the twenty-five years I have shopped here. Every department is always clean, well-organized, and well-lit. That's important, as a scuzzy supermarket is an unpleasant thing. Apart from the groceries, they offer a wide selection of prepared foods to eat on the spot in their spacious dining area. From prepared salads to soups to a Chinese-food bar to pizza to coffee and sandwiches to sushi, they'll provide have something for you to eat if you'd like to shop without being hungry (usually a good idea). In fact, I find myself dropping in for a quick lunch or a coffee now and then even if I'm not shopping for groceries. There is also a large, well-stocked wine and liquor store conveniently located across the parking lot, so shopping trips are a bit more convenient in this old-fashioned state that still doesn't allow wine and spirits to be sold alongside groceries.

Wegman's has reduced significantly the very things that made shopping at Wegman's special. Now Wegman's has morphed into an ordinary grocery store...but more expensive. It's nothing special anymore...It's a ho hum-hum retail store. I am no longer a loyal Wegman's shopper and I will shop anywhere now. Too bad, it used to be so good. On a positive note, in Western NY where I live, the Wegman's employees are very efficient, eager to help, and genuinely friendly. Just like the whole of our local population. I gave Wegman's 3 stars but in my opinion 2 1/2 stars would would be more appropriate. If Wegman's wants to discuss my comments, please contact me.

Hey 7 miles from Wegmans who are you a fan of CCP and judge someone by the color of their skin and their religion, be what you say. Yes Wegmans is a great store with good hearted people running it. Sounds like too much state run media in your life. Never is Trump or Wegmans not for inclusiveness and the life of freedom. Great store.

(4) ~ very good Wegmans that is equivalent to the other Wegmans I've visted in PA. Glad they have my favorite Beer too = Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale (see photo)

Sure, what is not to like? Great store & always helpful employees. Being new to Buffalo, living .7 miles to Wegman's was spectacular, until I heard the family is HUGE TRUMP supporters, I go less frequently now. I am not into White Christian Power, I am more into diversity, equity and inclusion. That's why I am enjoying my first year in Buffalo .

Overall still 5 stars with a few minor caveats. The Good: Great selection of products. Fresh produce and meats. Best prices by far for most everyday items without waiting for a sale or in-store coupons. Very pleasant and dynamic shopping environment, with staff visible and at the ready to help the customer with a genuine smile. Seriously. Sometimes, they even go above and beyond. Example: bringing a shopping cart to someone clearly overloaded with groceries--you know, the person (me) who came in for "one thing"--without needing to be asked. Or the time I desperately needed a jump. I went up to customer service and asked if they knew of anyone who could help. In less than 5 minutes, an Asset Protection rep came along and had my car running just like that! The bad: they move things around a lot--great marketing tool, but frustrating as heck! They completed a massive conversion recently. I'll need to adjust. Not sure this even qualifies as "bad", just inconvenient. And, they are no longer open all night! And...they don't sell cots! Because if they did, I might just move in.

I went to get a filet of salmon for a special dinner. I asked the man at The fish department if he can cut the stomach part and the end piece off so It could cook evenly. He said he couldn't do it and he was going to call someone else to do it. A gentleman came and asked me what I wanted I told him what I wanted. He told me that I would have to pay $2 more a pound to trim off the stomach and the end piece. He said because it was a loin piece. I told him I wasn't paying $2 more a pound to trim off pieces that wasn't going to use. He said if I was going to take those pieces with me he would do it and not charge me $2 more pound. I asked for the store manager and he said he was the store manager. I told him forget it and drove to Whole Foods. The salmon was the same price a pound and I asked the gentleman if he can do the same thing I asked Wegmans to do. He said no problem and he began to cut it to the shape and size I wanted cut and didn't charge me any extra. Very disappointed at Wegmans used to be where they would go above and beyond. Now it's just about the dime. No longer buying my fish there.

There are some things you can only get at Wegmans. Great fresh gluten free sushi. But there are many more things you can no longer get at Wegmans. Organic produce and gluten free options have been tanking. Also organic meat, especially if you want family packa of it. Sure they're suffering supply constraints like most grocers, but at a higher rate. The worst thing about this Wegmans is their incessant need to rearrange the store once everyone gets used to product locations. The most recent arrangement has them hiding (or perhaps eliminating) the gluten free aisle. 3/3 employees didnt know where it disappeared to. They've also moved their bulk water location from aisle 3 to nowhere. It's not in the water aisle either. Every single major grocery aisle has been shuffled from snacks to asian to soup and everything in between. I'm sure if they could move frozen or produce they would. Since the pandemic Wegmans has been going downhill, while most others are now in a better place. Aldi, TJ's, and Whole Foods have all moved ahead. Tops and Dash's still suck for the most part.

What have they done to their bagels?! Why would they do this to me? Why are you selling trash? They're not made fresh in store anymore it seems. These bagels are now worse than Tim Hortons. My heart is broken.

Outstanding fresh produce. High quality store branded products.... Excellent cleanliness and customer service.

Let me start by saying, I despise grocery shopping. But....Tons of selection! Produce looked great, options for my carnivores and vegetarians. Most of all, the staff were friendly and helpful. Ms. Kathy the cashier made it for us 10/10. She was so kind to my little one. There was no one behind us, she showed him how to scan food and now he wants to be a cashier. Thanks Ms. Kathy, you made Nemo's day and we look forward to seeing you again!

How about putting a Wegmans in the Eastside of Buffalo NY. There is a need for it there.
