“Chez Mike doesn't disappoint. Often when my husband picks me up at the train station we have dinner there. The cocktails, food and service were as good or better than my meals in NYC and a great value for fine dining in the Capital District. Our server, Cameron, was friendly and attentive even when the place really filled up. Two delicious cocktails, a glass of wine, two appetizers, an entree and dessert were under $120. I actually like the strip mall vibe on the outside hiding the awesomeness inside. Chez Mike is a real find.“

Can be a little noisy at prime meal times when it's crowded- hard on hearing aids...or those with hearing issues. (Off times are much quieter)“

“I always enjoy my food when I order from here! Always a great experience with Maria and Nikki! Always so nice and accommodating, I served tables for 10 + years at a lot of high end restaurants and they are an awesome example of how service should be, However everytime I order something on Sunday evenings the blonde girl and the brunette girl that work there both have terrible attitudes like they both absolutely hate their jobs, I never see either one of them smile , or take any kind of personal approach to their customers at all, which in my opinion as a someone who worked as a server for so long might result in less tips or even a negative vibe between the server and their table… last night I ordered 2 orders of French fries and asked for some plastic silver wear , the brunette girl looked at me and said! “I guess but I don’t really see why” … maybe because I’m a regular paying customer .. but maybe that’s just me… and another time I placed an order with one of the girls , and asked for my total, and had me wait on the phone for over 5 mins for my total while she stopped and ran her food… something that takes 30 secs took 5 mins…in my personal opinion as a server those two ladies show a big lack of professionalism, I do not recommend Sunday nights when these two girls work! But I absolutely love this place when it’s any other day of the week“

“What a legendary experience. We were at Hill St Cafe and called to see if they had garbage plates and they did! We were with a friend from Australia that hadn't had a Garbage Plate before so they cooked one up with home fries, Mac salad and burgers that was absolutely delicious. “I used to go here with my parents until my father got it in his head not to patronize Tool's anymore. First time in quite some time I had lunch with a close friend and it was good.
