“Second time here and both times have been exceptional. I had the fois gras terrine with peach and chili which had the perfect balance of sweetness to cut through the fois gras, with a little bit of heat from the chili. My Wife had the smoked salmon on Gouda hash brown which although very rich was her highlight of the meal! For main I had the 21oz sirloin and my wife had the iberico pork shoulder - both cooked to perfection.The ambience of the restaurant is cosy, but unsurprisingly upmarket and the staff are all very pleasant.“

“It is always such a great experience, the service is excellent and the food is amazing. My mother, husband and sister all ordered the short ribs special and they all agreed it was over the top delicious. My other sister had the Halibut and she was very satisfied with her dish and I had the duck which is always amazing.“

“The food here is excellent! I love when a chef has seasonal menus. We arrived the first night of their ‘Spring menu” and it was amazing. I had the crab cake appetizer and the scallops for my entree. The favorite thing I tried all night was the fried artichoke and calamari dish - omg a must try! My aunt had the cod for her entree which she loved. The portions are on the bigger side. The hostess, the staff, and Chef were all so friendly and welcoming!“

“Our absolute favorite, go-to restaurant. The service is great - the owner is welcoming (even once escorted our toddler to the c-store next door to buy some candy) and all the wait staff is great, especially Jason who is incredibly kind. Food is excellent quality and fairly priced for how good it is. Pastas are cooked perfect al dente. Great meat dishes especially the pork chop french cut. The desserts are quite good as well - love the coconut cake. Because it's not huge it isn't quiet but we've never found it to be uncomfortably loud and it has a great ambience.“

Even if it's not on the menu. They have tables and TVs for dining in or just hanging out in a great atmosphere. Definitely worth trying. You won't be disappointed.“

“Took a nice drive to one of our first dates spots… Palisades mall… We always seen this place busy, we decided to give it a try for a late lunch. If drinks is their specialty, then they nailed it. The food paired well deliciously. This is a “we will be back” type of place. Kid friendly too.“

Twice, recently, I dined at I'l Fresco with friends and family members; The words they used to describe Il Fresco were: -Fabulous - dinner was scrumptious -Phenomenal restaurant and staff -Tastiest sauce in the world - delicious hot bread out of the oven. -An Exceptional dining experience. -Amazing homemade tiramisu - wonderful desserts -Best meal ever - better than the meals I had while visiting Sorrento, Italy. From my cousin who went back to Belfast, Northern Ireland: I am keen to get back to visit again and hopefully we can visit the fantastic restaurant again, can't remember the name otherwise it would be getting a 5 star from me. “Taco Thursday’s! Who doesn’t like a taco? Food is very fresh and best Mexican food around. Margaritas are made fresh with squeezed limes not a mix. One of my favorite places for Sunday breakfast! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming.“

“Great little pub with an old school local vibe. Burgers and wings are very good. The wings are on the larger side so if you're more into the smaller wings with less meat on the bone you may not love them.My kids love the pizza. I'm a little more neutral on it due to the crust leaning a little towards a "store bought" type. But the sauce and toppings are spot on.The employees are great across the board. They all seem to enjoy working there vs just "having a job". Good place to hang with some friends or eat with the family.Parking: Depending on the time of day can be a little challenging.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly in the dining room for sure. The bar area has high tops but I wouldn't say that space is kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Not the easiest to access for people with disabilities.“

“I have been here multiple times and everytime the food and service are excellent. This time it was for breakfast with the Easter bunny. It was a perfectly executed passed brunch. With all the kids it was nice not to have to wait in a buffet line.“

It was memorable but the music was a bit to loud for me as it was almost impossible to have a conversation. I'm sure some others would disagree. “Our server was not interested in serving us to the level she should have. Normally the servers are very personable. Not this time. When you are asked if you want your martini served in a martini glass that's a problem. I asked for stuffed olives and was served plain. She corrected it later after I asked. I blame training on that. The manager was fantastic! Very attentive and personable. We have dined there many times and food is always terrific. It was nice to hear live music tonight. Please tell your servers NOT to stack plates. It's rude and disgusting. You're not a diner.“

“I've lived in Ridgewood for over 10 years and have been past this place many times and kept saying that I would stop and grab a burger here. Last night my fiancée and I finally dined in. The food was excellent. The burgers were tasty, especially top with their secret sauce and the sweet potato fries were delicious, with a side of garlic aioli dipping sauce. The atmosphere reminded me of being in a bar but with a hint of the calmness of a winter cabin in the woods. What made our experience top notch was the service. Kim was our server and she made our first time very warm and welcoming as well as accommodating. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to chow down on nice big, juicy burger or even a healthy salad.“

“I love Beni's! Their sauce is very similar to my mother's. I love to take my grandchildren to eat there. Their pizzettas are delicious! It's just a great place to go have a nice Italian meal with a glass of wine in a very comfortable atmosphere. I'm sure you'll enjoy what they have to offer.“

“Great local vibes here with a solid food and drink menu. Great service as well. Outdoor seating in the warmer months. My only knock is the noise. They have brick walls in the inside which don't absorb sound. It gets loud when crowded, which makes conversation a challenge. Something to consider if that's important you. Also, live music can be very loud. I wish they'd dial the volume down a tad on their speakers.“

“Fantastic space with a lively, upscale, upbeat atmosphere. Welcoming, energetic vibe on a Saturday night. We've been there twice with a party of 6, and the food has been excellent both times. The veal chop... to die for! Wonderful service the 1st time. Everything was perfect. It was just ok last week, at best. But they were super busy and perhaps short-handed. In any event, there was an automatic 20% tip applied to the bill, so perhaps the server didn't care to give it her personal best. Still, we'll definitely return and recommend Roost.“

“Went back to Doghouse after a long hiatus and was pleasantly surprised that nothing changed except the live Jazz music on Thursday nights! Very cool! Food was the usual good greasy type except HUGE portions! My cheesesteak was large and tasty as well as my girl's grilled chicken sandwich... def get your moneys worth! Service was spotty but acceptable but then again it's a hometown pub, what do you expect? Stop in on Thursday nights for the live Jazz, saves a trip into the city!!“

“Fire & Oak came recommended by the local cemetery after the sudden death of my 19-year-old son. The caretakers explained to us the importance of a repast, which is a gathering of mourners to assure the families are fed after the process. I am so glad they steered us to the right place. Joshua the manager, was so attentive to my needs. I wasn't familiar in planning for something like this and he made sure this process was painless. We did the buffet in the private rooms. The staff was outstanding and the food was impeccable. I will be forever grateful to Fire & Oak for their undivided attention. Many thanks to the entire team.“

The only complaint is that the lasagna wasn't as flavorful as I anticipated. However, my husband's steak was amazing, fried calamari and the garlic knots were to die for! “The service was absolutely wonderful. Really exceptional. We have a developmentally disabled adult son and were there with my mom for her 94th birthday. They were so easy-going with my son and so sweet with my mom. It made it extra special. The food was great. It's the next day and I'm still stuffed! We hadn't been to 2 Spear in about 10 years, but we will be back again soon!“

“The staff were all so very kind. They came to wish my husband a happy birthday. Our waiter was patient and funny. Both of my kids were in a terrible mood until they ate their food which was amazing (skirt steak and Caesar salad with salmon), so that perked them up. My husband and I had scallops which were perfectly cooked and very tasty! Last, everyone ordered a yummy dessert and ate every last bite (puddin', pannacotta, and cheesecake - everything was tasty).
