I usually get the Grandmas pizza extra garlic and basil but this past Saturday the 20th was the best pizza I’ve ever had and I grew up in towns, Scotto’s Port Wash and Queens Graziellas that had made the best pizzas. Lenny’s IMHO is consistent and hasn’t disappointed me yet.“

“Fantastic food - Uncle Joe is a local legend. I've been eating his food since the 80s. Uncle Joe's Veal and Stuffed Artichokes are the Best! Mushroom & Garlic Calzone with or without Ham..Garbage Pie Pizza... getting hungry! Try the Prixe Fixe in the dinning room, full bar, great food and plenty of it, great prices. Awesome Desserts..“

“We first visited Sophie's about 10 years ago-we were not impressed. Mostly fried food served in styrofoam plates and uncomfortable high-top tables. This past fall, we visited Sophie's again (first time in 10 years). WOW-what an improvement! Delicious marinated steak, fantastic clams-on real plates! Beautifully decorated, comfortable dining table and chairs, friendly staff-great food and drinks. We have returned several times since-always satisfied with our dining experience!! My one complaint-don't serve appys with plastic plates.“

“By far the best pizza we’ve had in a while across LI. Sat outside on patio on a weeks day, service was adequate but food was top notch. Hands down the best most crispy think crust imaginable. The olives were phenomenal especially bc of the variation in sizes and flavor plus the olive oil was super fresh. Will def go again! Wish they had a full bar. There are nearby bars, surely open on weekends. Prob a great weekend hang out. Yum! ?“

It’s nice to begin thinking of enjoying local restaurants after a summer of visitors, guests and other obligations. Really enjoyed the Cioppino with pasta. Sauce was wonderful, rich but not heavy and overbearing. It was filled with seafood, including shrimp, octopus, squid and shellfish. Totally enjoyable nice portion, so that I had enough to take home for lunch the next day. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the swordfish special served over various vegetables. It was prepared to perfection and the caper sauce complemented the entire dish. Really nice place to enjoy that is “affordable”.“
