“Some of the best tacos I've had on the East coast. These are on par with California and Texas tacos. Most of the tacos in NYC and NY and terrible, but not Los Ferchos. This is a great family run deli, with the whole family helping to make super authentic tacos in the back. The staff is super friendly, and they even have a couple tables inside and outside for you to enjoy your food. They also make homemade ice pops and they have some very niche authentic Mexican food items too like Oaxaca cheese and Mexican desserts. Easily the best tacos in the Hudson Valley, and maybe NY too.“

I highly recommend this place - I have only had it delivered, so can't speak to the atmosphere, but when delicious food comes delivered in a bag that has a handwritten note saying "Enjoy, LK!" you KNOW they have to be nice people!! “I had the tacos al pastor and tacos de pollo and they were both incredible. Super juicy, well seasoned and the tortilla was fresh (I saw the girl making them from scratch!) The service was amazing too, Guadalupe was very nice and attentive.The place is cute, it gives taco spots in Mexico. “Umm I come about once a week now. One of the employees almost knows my order on site. LOL does that mean I go too often? The food is soo good & the service is spectacular. My only issue is deciding which day of the week I'm going to go. Give them a try I promise you'll love them.“

“After a miscommunication with our reservation time for 15 of us, Eliseo went out of his way to accommodate us as best he could. Dinner was wonderful, everything everyone ordered was delicious. I had the Korean tacos and they were so good. They also make the guac right in front of the table and was delicious, you get to choose if you want spicy or not. Highly recommend this place if you want to indulge in some Mexican food with a Mariachi band that takes requests on a Friday night. Our server Jay was a delight and he was extremely attentive to our every need. The decorations were beautiful! I loved it here and will be coming back soon!“

“I love this restaurant I come here for breakfast lunch and dinner I order the carnitas burrito for lunch and dinner and the steak and eggs burrito for breakfast every time it is delicious and fresh. What I appreciate most is that with your burrito they give you the veggies on the side so you can eat them with the burrito and in my opinion it is amazing I frequent this place all the time I highly recommend, the staff are extremely friendly and the restaurant is beautiful. I don’t usually leave reviews but this place is my favorite so I felt an obligation to get the word out. Anyways try this restaurant asap it is truly amazing and very quick as well even when eating inside I usually get my food in less than 15mins“

“I love tacos! Ain't nothing like tacos made from the hands of beautiful Mexican people . So I share with you it was time for lunch decided I want to tacos. I want tacos from a Mexican restaurant. I Googled "tacos in Mount Vernon, New York" and in seconds "Tacos Los dos Compadres" popped up first on my feed! In the image of this beautiful food truck popped up on the screen. I read the reviews they were all 5 stars! They do have a number to call and they even have a Google chat. So I sent a message asking if they were open and it replied back "Yes!" They are located on the busy strip of Lincoln Avenue and parking is challenging. Their food truck is based in front an automotive shop. So you may have find parking. As soon as I walked up to the truck the smell that came out of there was so awesome. I knew that it couldn't go wrong with these tacos. The gentleman who took my order had a really nice big smile and Friendly was ready to take my order. I ordered over a dozen of tacos for myself and my family. I got the chicken, beef brisket and two pork with pineapple. The flavors that was in this tacos was well balanced with onions and cilantro and seasonings. As a garnish, were charred peppers but also charred oversized scallion from the grill. I was intimidated by the size so I thought it was just for looks. I'll be honest I tried to bite it, Lol. It was too big for me! So I peeled the skins and place it into the taco, WOW! It just mad at it more delicious flavor. There also sauces to add to your tacos. I highly recommend you come through and indulge. I'm happy to say I have a place to grab great tacos!“

Enchiladas are my favorite and every new restaurant I try, I always get it; these are likely the best I've ever had! So much depth and flavor. Skip to the end for my tips.*** When we arrived, they were getting ready for a private event later that evening, but they still let us stay and eat. The owner patiently waited (and had to come back several times) because it took us a bit of time to make up our mind. Everything sounded so good, so it was hard to choose just a few dishes.We were very happy with our choices. Everything was delicious!- Shrimp burger - I already knew that the texture would be like a patty consistency of minced shrimp, but my friends were surprised because they were expecting whole shrimp pieces in the burger. I was a fan of the dill sauce on it, but if you don't like dill, maybe ask for it on the side? The dill taste and smell is strong, which goes perfectly with the shrimp burger.- Empanada Sampler - I wish I remembered what flavors were included in this, but everything was super good.- Mofongo Supreme - The mofongo was delicious and it came with pieces of cheese, shrimp, and steak. Definitely need to go back to try the lobster mac and cheese that everyone seems to be raving about and try their other dishes, as well, which all sound delicious.Tips: - There is plenty of street parking nearby and even a municipal parking lot to the left of the restaurant (if you are facing the restaurant).- It seems like a lot of people do take-out so that is an option, too.- We went on a Saturday night and left around 8:30 and they were supposed to be opened until 11:00, but they closed early for a private event, so maybe you should call ahead to make sure that they are open for guests or pick-up. Someone stopped by and was disappointed that they were closed early.“

“Food was fresh, ambiance was cute and casual and my kids loved it! We had the enchilada which came with rice and beans, fish and shrimp tacos which were stellar, Mexican corn which was off the Cobb served in a bowl which I thought was genius, and churros which were hot and came with caramel and chocolate sauce. My kids had the passion fruit and horchata agua frescas. If you are in the neighborhood it is worth stopping by for lunch or dinner - I will definitely be going back!“

“Had steak fajitas with a side of guacamole and they were good. Everything was fresh, the waitresses were nice, and the place is really clean. The waitresses seem to be native Spanish speakers, so you may have to slow down your English a little bit. One star off because the music was too loud, and there was some gristle in the steak. I will be going back and next time I'll try the chicken or shrimp fajitas.“

“Was in Yonkers to get some paperwork and decided to get lunch before heading back to the city by train. I searched for food and Anselmo's Pizzeria & Deli was nearby. Initially, I was surprised on how small the place was but it was crowded (both tables were occupied and there was a line). Decided on getting two slices of pizza (shrimp and then cheese) and a drink. Both were excellent. Highly recommend the place but better if you takeout.“
