This is a good bagel place/deli, the food is terrific, the prices are not. I get it though, it's Long Island. As for the staff, it's a mixed bag, some are great, others are rude as hell, however I will say since the new owners took over I am running into that less. The food here is always great, unfortunately it's not the kind of place you can afford to go to every day.
I've seen this place before and it always has people coming in so I finally stopped by with my mother. Mike from bagel gourmet helped us and was amazing. He asked my mother how exactly how she'd like her meal and made her bagel and coffee exactly how my mother requested as well as asked how I'd like my meal and did the same for me. The food was great, atmosphere and prices too. Mike was the best .

Super expensive. Chicken salad on rye w bacon. The sandwich was not bad though the (burnt crumbled) bacon was an Xtra 2.50. A cookie was 5.00. Sandwich, a cookie and a small bag of chocolate pretzels was 23.00.
