We are in town for the eclipse and went to two other restaurants before landing on this one. The other two were understaffed and just felt like we were going to have a bad time so we just got up and left before anyone even came to take our order. Hidalgos saved us big time. We stopped in just for a Mexican beer. We received a friendly greeting and offered chips and freshly homemade salsa. Delicious! We had and to try a couple items. The pork tamale and shredded beef tacos were incredible! We will stop here again when in Ellicottville.

The rave reviews are not wrong. The food tastes SO GOOD! This is clearly a family run venture & everyone's heart is in what they do.It was very busy when we arrived and there was a large group waiting for their table.
