First time ordering from here today (was part of a group order) and the food was DELICIOUS! I got the Pollo Guisado which I've never had at any other Mexican restaurant before probably because I've never been to an actual authentic Mexican spot until now. Portion was generous and chicken was perfectly moist; rice and refried beans with the stewed tomatoes onions and peppers were so flavorful. So glad to have learned about this hidden gem and will definitely become a regular here - especially with such affordable prices! (My 2yo toddler also loved it and kept saying "more"!)

Josefina's is home to my favorite panza negra tacos. I've had all of their tacos. My wife likes their pollo and al pastor tacos. Their lengua and panza blanco tacos are very good, but I always have their panza negra tacos. There are only a few places in NYC that offer panza negra tacos, so I always come here when I visit NYC.

Mexican groceries, tacos filled to the brim, giant burritos.. I can't ask for more.. I'm asian and I have a taco addiction.. the carnitas here is what made me a fan.. when covid hit, they had full stacks of eggs when the big stores had almost none and charging more.. This place has saved me in more ways than one, talk about supporting local.. I feel blessed for this shop.. they were small when first opened but i'm so happy to see them so busy with food orders now.. just proves how i knew their food and goods were worth it
