I came here once a week for years (haven't been in about a year as I moved)! Since they opened, I came with my aunt about once a week. We always sat at the sushi bar and made friends with the sushi chefs. Half of the the time we just watched what other people ordered and whatever looked good we just ordered that. The other half of the time the chef just made whatever and we ate it, they always knew what we liked and made dishes that would eat. Over the years I have brought countless people here and everyone has had a good time. Even people who swore they knew of a better place before we went in left thinking this spot was amazing. If your drinking here get the Zombie with no grenadine!!!!! So good and so strong, just make sure your not driving home. Or a plum wine!

This place is amazing . It is very clean and quiet . The bar is great and fancy . The sushi is fresh and delicious and the drinks are fantastic. Their fried ice cream is on point and the staff is very friendly . The warm and light mood in the room is relaxing. The decorations are beautiful and they are unique. This sushi restaurant not inky incorporates the food of the cultural Japanese, sushi,etc. But they also incorporated traditional chinese food, bentos, fried rice, and etc. The staffs are friendly and super good at what they do. This place is truly one of a kind and I highly recommend it to anybody looking for a great staff and great cultural foods.

I used to go here often but yesterday will be the last time I ever eat at Umi. The staff was rude and could not understand anything. I know a lot abt sushi and I know it shouldn't taste stale, hard. The avocado in my California roll had a crunch to it ! The cucumber was soggy and my boyfriends chicken teriyaki was cold and didn't taste fresh , like it was left out over night. Do better baby

Decent sushi, sashimi is sliced a little thin but that's more of a personal preference. Rolls were pretty good. Their highlight is good service and the complimentary edemame and gum is a nice touch.

If you like swatting flies away throughout your entire meal, then this is the place for you! There were so many flies I lost count. It's always a bad sign when there are no other customers at a restaurant on a Saturday night. Service was horrible, didn't get menus or drinks for a very long time, didn't get salads until we asked for them even though they were supposed to come with our meal, and the food itself was not good. The chicken was extremely dry and not worth the $17. I wish we just got cheap Chinese takeout down the street, it would have been a lot better. Only good part was the California roll.
