“This place is deceptively large. The door is so small, but once you walk in, you're really wowed by how large the place in. The decor is pretty interesting. I didn't expect that I would be walking into 6th century Tang Dynasty China, which was pretty cool. The food was so delicious and so tasty. Their mild spice starts out ok, but as the soup base keeps boiling, it becomes so intense, so I would recommend not letting any food sit in the soup base for too long otherwise it becomes way to spicy. Unless you're into that super spicy kind of taste. Their non-spicy broth is pretty tasty also, so this place is ok to take people who don't really eat spicy foods because my friends who don't eat spicy foods enjoyed their broth also. The only annoying this is the long wait time. We usually have to send someone who lives close by to go there to get a number and then kind of wait and guesstimate how long it will be until we get a table there.”

“This was one of the places my friend who moved to LA had to come back to during her visit.

They have the best rice cake and sausage (소떡소떡) I’ve had from a chicken shop. The rice cake is the perfect level of crispiness. The sausage is a normal Frankfurt sausage instead of the Korean ones but it’s still okay because their sauce is perfect. Even before eating the chicken, I can tell this is going to be amazing. They have great combo deals which are great for groups and they also give free Cajun fries (which are also good and fresh) a review! Definitely worth trying.”

Pizzeria Panina 68-38 Forest Ave store front A, Flushing Pizza • $$

“We pulled up to Pizzeria Panina right at 7PM, and the vibe was exactly what you’d want on a laid-back summer night in Ridgewood. It was casual, cozy, and well-designed. It’s a small, intimate space, but it doesn’t feel cramped. You can tell they pay attention to the little details.

I didn’t order any drinks this time, but I loved that they didn’t charge extra for sparkling water! My homies did get a few drinks.

The service was incredible. Friendly, attentive, but never overbearing. Everyone was on point from the second we walked in.

The special ravioli they had tonight was absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked, balanced flavors. Who knew corn and ravioli would work so well together. The pizza was great too—high-quality dough and toppings—but the pies run a bit small, just something to keep in mind if you’re rolling in hungry.

For dessert, we got the sticky toffee cake with gelato! Amazing. The olive oil on the ice cream was crazy good and the sea salt flakes on the cake was AMAZING! The watermelon sorbet was also AMAZING! It was refreshing, fresh, and the perfect way to close out the meal.

Overall, I’d give them a strong 4.5 out of 5. The pastas and desserts really shine. Pies are tasty, just on the smaller side. But between the service, flavor, and thoughtful touches, Panina’s 100% worth the trip.”

“Overall, I had a great experience at this restaurant. The food was tasty, the service was good, and everything looked clean. They seated me quickly, and the portions were huge — one dish is definitely enough for two people.

I ordered a tomato noodle soup, but I found it had way too many noodles and not enough vegetables or meat. Also, since most of the broths are pork-based, there aren’t many options if you don’t eat pork. I also tried the mushroom (wood ear) salad, which was fresh and delicious.

In short: the food is good and flavorful, but I’d love to see more balance with the soup (less noodles, more veggies and meat) and a few more non-pork soup options on the menu”

4.6 Superb62 Reviews

“This is one of my favourite restaurants in Flushing! (which is saying a lot) I probably come by at least once a month if not more frequently.

They can be a bit busy during peak lunch/dinner hours on weekdays, but service/turnover is quick and they are efficient with using the shared long table in the centre of the restaurant, so I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seated.

I usually get one of the guo qiao rice noodle (過橋米線) options - obviously that’s their speciality; my favourites are the fatty beef 肥牛過橋米線 and the “xiu cai” 秀才過橋米線.

Each order comes a bunch of ingredients - meat(s) and small plates of side toppings - separately from broth and the rice noodles. Some orders on other tables had the dishes plated on a small wooden (eponymous) bridge or a staircase, which looked super cool!

After they bring all the food to your table, the waitress puts in all the ingredients, meat, and noodles in the broth in front of you and mixes. This is traditionally part of the guoqiao rice noodles experience, and I guess this is also good if you like taking aesthetic food spread photos, because the final product doesn't really showcase all the yummy toppings.

Anyway, it’s always super delicious. The broth is really rich and smelled wonderful; not too salty or oily, and it was nice to sip on each bite with the noodles and at the end of the meal as well.

Fatty beef was super delicious - very thinly sliced, tender, juicy, and its flavour cooking in the soup really made the broth just that extra bit savoury. The other cuts of meat (e.g. sliced pork, fish) are all pretty good, but nothing spectacular.

The toppings are also really solid. The 香酥 (I have no idea what this is called in English but the crispy/fried brown thing) was surprisingly tasty; not too oily or heavy and paired really nicely with the broth. I also like the tofu skin, wish they would have given more.

Overall a very great meal and very filling - portion sizes are already pretty big, and I think you can ask for more noodles for free (although I’ve never done so). Price point is super affordable, and for such a nice sit-down place in Flushing I think it's more than worth every dollar.”

“I’ve been gatekeeping this place for so long!!! The food is amazing and fresh. I always do a build your own bowl and am able to fully customize a poke bowl to my liking. They also have ramen and different rice bowls. The pricing at this place is so affordable for fresh tuna and salmon. I’m used to paying over $20 for the servings they provide. Their prices range from $11-15. A nice Chinese family owns the restaurant and are always so wonderful to their customers and genuinely remember the regulars. Their restaurant is always impeccably clean. Never garbage around, tables clean, and cute decor. My go to for poke!!!!!”

“The food is absolutely delicious and for such cheap prices compared to other places, it is so worth it. They have some background music playing, not the best quality but makes the experience much better. “Parking: I frequently have soup for breakfast there. Almost everyday. 4 -6 times a week! The food is hearty, homely and it's kinda soul food of Seoul, Korea, reminds me of home back in Korea. Anyways, today the only waitress seems to consistantly have problems on the credit machine with my cards. The waitress had about 5 tables open, but because she was having trouble with my card, she muttered that she wishes I don't come!!!

I cooly handed her cash and left

Other than the foul mouthed waitress working on Mondays the food is excellent and their prices are more than decent. Because of her the service gets 1 Star ⭐. Without her it's an 8 !”

Golden K Burgers 40-17 Bell Blvd, Flushing Hamburger • $$

“Burger and fries restaurant with decent options and flavors.

I recommend just getting the Farmhouse burger ? with the regular fries ?. The burger comes with two thick patties that are juicy and flavorful, cooked to medium. The bread is a soft sesame brioche which pairs well with the meat. The bacon ? is thin and crispy. The melted cheese ? is in the background it doesn't come through much. The fried onion bits really enhance the flavor a lot. This is a very big burger so it's worth the ~$18 for the meal. (The prices on delivery apps are much higher)
Rating 9/10.

I don't recommend getting the upgraded fries because the upgrades are not worth it. For example, the jalapeno cheese option has like 6 slices of jalapeno and 1 slice of cheese added to your fries. It does almost nothing to improve the flavor. The truffle fries are also not an improvement over the regular fries. You are better off putting your own toppings on at home.

The lemon cod ? sandwich is ok. It has a decent sized cut of fried fish, soft brioche and some toppings but nothing special and not a lot of flavor for the price. Rating 7/10.

The lemon pepper wings are not lemon pepper they are salt and black pepper. They are ok but I didn't taste any lemon pepper flavor. Lemon pepper is a very specific flavor made famous in the south and this is not it.
Rating 7/10”

“We recently went here for a small family wedding reception. There were many dishes including Assorted appetizers platter of jelly fish, crispy pork intestine, fried fish/ribs; King crab cooked in 3 ways (fried, steamed and soup-style), Ginger scallions lobsters, lobster with snow pea leaves, steamed fish, soup, crispy chicken and Fried tofu with beef, mushrooms and snow peas. All the dishes were seasoned well. I personally like more of the assorted appetizers platter (not a fan of the crispy pork intestine because it has a very unique taste to it) and the lobster with snow pea leaves. These two dishes are differently cooked compared to my experience from other restaurants. There were some friendly servers. An unique aspect of this place is there is an inside entrance to Artisan Tea & Coffee shop right next door. So if you want specialty drinks from Artisan but don’t want to walk in the cold then this inside entrance makes it very convenient.”

“Name of the restaurant does not indicate it's a Taiwanese restaurant but the quality of the food certainly does. Their beef noodle soup has thick cut meat and solid broth. Their oyster pancake is ok, the fried chicken reminds me of the night market big star chicken, a must try. If you dine in, they provide peanuts and a small amount of cold veggies to munch on while they prepare the food. The cafe is very much like a Taiwanese style mom and pop cafe. Pricing is one of the best also!”

“Who wants to experience home food please, pay your visit undoubtedly.
Foods are fresh , prices are so accurate, services also satisfying, only their space is little smaller than others.
I loved their fish combo , their Chai, Alu puri, egg chop, kala vuna , lentil were awesome.
I don't get time to cook at home , most often I have my launch or dinner from them.
As a regular customer, I suggest everyone you will satisfy with their prices and food quality.
They should develop their biriyani and Chicken Curry but most other dishes are okay .
Thanks.”

“Flushing Gem: Unbeatable Prices and Bold Flavors
A must-try for lovers of authentic Korean-Chinese cuisine, this Flushing restaurant delivers incredible value and unforgettable taste.
This hidden gem in the heart of Flushing has quickly become my go-to spot for genuine Korean-Chinese dishes. Their Jajangmyeon is, without a doubt, the most affordable in the neighborhood. For a price that’s hard to beat, you get a generous bowl of perfectly chewy noodles smothered in a rich and savory black bean sauce. It’s a comforting and satisfying meal that won’t break the bank.
But the true star of the show for me is the spicy clam dish, a delightful combination of fresh clams and noodles tossed in a fiery and flavorful seasoning. The heat of the chili is perfectly balanced with the natural sweetness of the clams, creating a harmonious and addictive taste. The noodles soak up all the delicious sauce, ensuring every bite is packed with flavor.
The restaurant itself has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a casual lunch or dinner. The service is friendly and efficient, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience. If you're in Flushing and craving delicious and affordable Korean-Chinese food, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment. You won't be disappointed!”

The bakery captures a lot of customers from the surrounding businesses such as the hospital. It's great to see a flow a diverse crowd visiting this Gem. I also picked up half dozen curry beef pastry and their chicken rolls. I took a bite and taste just like my first time eating them in the 1990s when I was a little boy.

“Overall a nearly excellent burger in the Shake Shack style can be had here! There's about 20 different styles of burgers with creative combinations. We had the O'dada and double whammy burgers. Both were overall very good with fresh, high quality ingredients and an excellent brioche style roll. The main problem we had was the burgers were a bit too greasy and excessively juicy which kept us from giving a 5 star rating.. It was difficult eating these burgers without making a mess and the fatty juices were flowing out like a fountain. Despite this these are still probably the best burgers in Queens due to high quality ingredients and being very tasty. The service was quick and friendly! “We were attending an event at Queens College and wanted to have a lunch/dinner afterwards, so we searched for restaurants nearby. There were many choices, but I was impressed by the website and menu for Piccolo Sogno. Following the event, joined by four friends, my wife and I made the short drive to the restaurant. It was a hot day, and at first we said we would like to dine inside. But the gracious host said we were welcome to check the outside seating first--and we're so glad we did! In the lovely, covered garden, we comfortably began a great feast! Piccolo Sogno has a nice selection of wines and beers as well as sparkling water. That was followed by delicious Calamari Fritti (done to perfection) and a Hot Antipasto Sampler with more calamari, baked clams, eggplant rolatini and amazing fried shrimp. We followed that with Pollo Alla Francese (some of the best I've ever had), Spaghetti Carbonara, Penne Vodka, and Insalata Dello Chef with chicken. These were served with generous side orders of Caesar salad or pasta. The service was friendly, courteous and at a pace that made for a wonderful afternoon. Even though we were extremely well-filled, we ordered dessert, and are so glad we did! The Limoncello Flute was one of the best desserts we've had, as was the Chocolate Mousse. Some iced expresso (wait until you see the special way it is layered!) and coffee would have been the end of a perfect meal, but then Chef Maurizio himself came out to spend some time at our table. After a nice conversation, he took this selfie shot of us all. As we left, the wonderful staff of the restaurant all greeted us and thanked us for coming. I can't remember the last time that happened in such a warm and spontaneous way. I could not more highly recommend a restaurant. We live in Manhattan and have our choice of some of the best restaurants anywhere--but actually, I look forward to returning to Piccolo Sogno!”

Ordered 3 dakgalbi with medium spicy. It was really good! Right amount of chicken and veggies. Added cheese to the half of the dish. Of course we ended with the fried rice. It's actually a lot of food, and we took the fried rice home for dinner.”

“Came here on a weekday after work. There were many takeout orders going out the door while we dined. We started off with their grilled octopus, which was one of the best I have eaten in a long time. For the main dish, we ordered the mixed grill platter for 2, which came with a side of lemon potatoes. Honestly, that was enough people to feed more than 2. Everything tasted great. The tzatziki sauce and lemon potatoes sauce were great for dipping. We ordered an orange and lemon greek soda for that all-out authentic greek dining experience.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Pizza Lover’s Dream!

If there’s one place I can never say no to, it’s this pizza spot! Whether I’m dining in with friends or ordering in for a cozy night at home, this place never disappoints. The crust is always perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the cheese is gooey and flavorful, and the toppings are always fresh and generous. You can taste the love in every bite!

The atmosphere is warm and inviting—perfect for casual dinners, quick bites, or even just grabbing a slice on the go. The staff is friendly, quick, and always gets the order right (which I really appreciate!).

Honestly, once you try pizza from here, it becomes the gold standard. Every other pizza just feels like a copy. If you know, you know. 🔥🍕 my favorite buffalo chicken I think that’s the real buffalo chicken

Highly recommend — this is hands down my go-to pizza place, and I don’t plan on changing that anytime soon!”

The 醉鸡 Chicken in Yellow Wine was very nice, and was the first dish we finished. 小炒黄牛肉 was okay, 干锅花菜 good,酸菜黑鱼汤 was okay. We also got soup dumplings for $1 (spend $30+ get it for $1 promo). Kids went for chicken fried rice and stir fried rice cake and liked them.”

“I enjoyed my last visit, so I stopped again on Oct. 26, 2024. The food was still great. Ordered a lot more than what we could finish. Packed and brought home. If I have to do some comparisons, the Soup Dumplings with Pork were much better than Pan Fried Pork Buns.

This was my first time at Lao Yu Yuan. I very much enjoyed the food and experience. The taste was pretty authentic, the service was good, and the environment was clean and enjoyable. For the 4 dishes we ordered, I liked the "Mustard Green, Bamboo Shoots, and Pork Rice Cake" was the best. From the materials to preparation to taste were just perfect. The taste of the "Sesame Praised Fish" was great, but it would be better if a different type of fish was used. The fish was a bit too hard. The "Soup Dumpling with Pork" tasted great. The vinegar prepared for the dumpling was perfect. The dough for the dumpling was a bit too tough, especially the top tip portion of the dumpling.”

“It was crazy busy, the service was definitely affected as a result! It’s a little chaotic, but I still had a great conversation with my friend.

They offer free water or tea, and honestly as far as complimentary tea goes, it was pretty good! The pho was DELISHHHHH!!! Oh my god I wanted to cry when I tasted the broth 🥺🥺🥺🥺

It also comes with a lot of complimentary sauces, which really enhance the flavor! I believe I got the large Pho Tai, which was delicious! Honestly, it was a lot of much food even on an empty stomach.”

3.8 Good367 Reviews
