If there is 0 points, there should not even be one star. The staff's attitude is poor and lax. All the customers who ordered after me got them. I waited stupidly for 20 minutes and heard nothing. I took the initiative to ask, but I didn't know what to ask. , I will just refund the money and leave.

Deeelicious! I've been regularly coming here for about five years nowLocated inside of the New York Food Court by downtown Flushing, I come here strictly for this restaurant. It's like the only spot where they serve Taiwanese style sizzling steak. I swear I could eat this every day, but I'm sure the sodium would for sure send me to an early grave, lol. Just saying, the steak and chicken are delicious with that black pepper sauce. Reminds me of Taiwan. The steak is $25, and Chicken Steka is $22. Pre covid, I believe the steak was only $20. But hey, everything is more expensive nowadays, right? They also have other dishes, although I have yet to try. I have seen other customers order it, and they seem to be tasty looking. So, bottom line, if you want that Taiwanese black pepper sauce sizzling steak, this is the spot to be at. Plus, where else are you going to get a decent steak for only $25 bucks no tax nowadays. It also comes with a cup of sweet tea and salad.PS: They charge a $5 deposit which will be returned to you when you bring their tray back.

I used to go to this place often — I usually get the popcorn chicken or luroufan. Both are pretty good and their luroufan is one of my comfort foods. but it’s definitely not as good as it used to be before the food court was briefly shut down for a while and then reopened.

I had the salt and pepper squid, and my buddy had the salt and pepper chicken with rice. We liked our food.

this place used to be good. Bought an order of luroufan and you’re paying $9.5 for all white rice, few pieces of meat and they were all the fatty part. Also, NO SAUCE in the rice and half an egg. Will not be back.

I been going to this place since they opened in the food court. Back then there wasn't a-lot of taiwanese food places at least to my memory. My go to food is the chicken, but I prefer to not have the sauce and just get more of the pepper powder. And the fish thick soup, it's a very nostalgic taste of Taiwan when I was a kid.On a busy day its a bit of a wait, but I can go just go to the other stalls to get a drink. The ambiance during a busy time it can get very crowded and filled with sounds of people eating chatting and with friends eating together. I always enjoy this food stall for many years as a place to hangout with my best girl pals after a day of shopping, grocery shopping or running errands.

We arrived at 10:30 thinking all stores were open because website stated the food court opened at 10. We asked if they were open and they were even though they were still setting up. Salt and pepper chicken rice plate - chicken was good. Wish they had fried basil on it. The rice was mushy. Definitely was not fresh. It also came with pickled radish that I was not a fan of. The stinky tofu was warm and not hot. It came with pickled cabbage, soy sauce and chili sauce. Overall, it was just alright. They were also cash only.

I ordered a popcorn chicken lunch box at this restaurant and I found a huge cockroach in my food. I'm very worried since it's located in a food court.

I always enjoy such a delicious and filling meal whenever I come to eat at 8090 Taiwan cuisine. My usual order is the salt and pepper chicken with rice (also comes with a side of miso soup). I have also tried the cuttlefish thick soup, which has the perfect touch of pepper to it and comes with a decent amount of cuttlefish. The salt and pepper chicken is my favorite that I have tried in Flushing so far. It is perfectly seasoned, tender, and they give a generous amount. They also provide a dipping sauce. The pickled vegetables that it comes with complement the chicken very well. This is a popular stall in the New York Food Court, so if you come when it is busy you may have to wait a little while. Still worth the wait and a reasonably priced lunch!

When I got their steak meal, it was still sizzling when I received it. The meat was fantastic, juicy and flavorful. The meal also comes with a small salad, noodles, onions, an egg, broccoli, corn, and iced tea. When you pay, you'll get $5 back if you return their dish. This is one shop at the very end of the 7-line, but some great food.

It is pretty sad to visit and dine at this food court. Can’t believe it was just featured by Eater recently.\\n\\nWe opted to try some Taiwanese food - the stinky tofu was crunchy and tasty, I just wished that the dish wasn’t covered in hot sauce. The duck meat noodle dish was flavorful, with lots of duck meat. Both dishes satisfied our tummy on a budget!
