One of my favorites in Flushing! I’ve never tried Dong Bei food until I came here. Now I come here all the time with my family and I and we love the food here. The flavors of the food are just spectacular and the price is really reasonable for the amount of you get. My go-to dish is the sliced fish with sweet and sour sauce; it is literally the best thing I’ve had. I typically get 5 dishes to share with my family.

At the first moment you enter this restaurant the stuff gives you a good feeling. Very warm team, it is a happy restaurant to enjoy with buddies or with your date. Great meals, talented chef de cuisine, modest price and courteous service. Highly recommended.

Fu Run is my #1 restaurant in Flushing. It is hard to find an authentic and consistent Dongbei kitchen and Fu Run delivers.

Came in a little after lunch, and they were still pretty crowded. They were doing something with beansprouts (afaik) on the table when we got in, and we sat down after waiting maybe two or three minutes for them to clear off the table. Clean and stylish restaurant. The menu had English and the waiters spoke English too. After we ordered food came pretty quick. The dishes were kind of expensive, and I noticed even parties of two ordered at least three dishes, but we went with two plus rice. The triple delight vegetable was delicious and a tad spicy. It went really well with rice. I liked it a bit more than the lamb chops which they're apparently known for (especially on food blogs). It was solid. It was crispy and a bit fatty, and didn't have the gamey taste lamb sometimes has. it was also a little spicy but not super flavorful. It wasn't really a standout though, and I wouldn't say it was worth the price.

Craving for spicy Chinese. This is one of the top one on Yelp search so we gave it a try. It looked like a typical Chinese restaurant. A little bit run down but bearable. My son was given a cracked plastic cup for his water. When we told the waiter they replaced it right away. Service was fast. We were the only customer for lunch on a Sunday. Cumin Lamb: 3/5 Tasted different than the one we typically get at a typical Szechuan restaurant. The meat was fried but a lot softer than expected. Didn't taste like real lamb to me...It tasted ok just not as expected. Sliced Pork Stomach w. Red Oil: 1/5 First of all this is an appetizer but we didn't get it until 10 minutes after all of our dishes were on the table. The dish was very blend...not spicy nor salty...waste of money... Braised Beef Noodle Soup: 0/5 Worst beef noodle soup I've ever tasted in my life. They used sliced beef instead of braised beef and it's udon instead of usual ramen or hand pulled noodle you would expect. And the soup tasted just like those instant udon you can buy for $1.50 in the Chinese supermarket. No beef flavor at all. STAY AWAY FROM THIS!! Pork Intestines w. Green Pepper: 3/5 I thought this would be similar to dry pot but it's more like sweet and sour intestines. The intestines were very thick cut like at least 1in thick and is fried...It was a bit weird but tasted ok Spicy Chicken in Chong Qing Style: 3/5 This is probably my favorite flavor wise. It's well spiced but 2/3 of the plate was filled with red pepper. We have to dig in to find the chicken. All the chicken pieces were very bony and tiny. Even though it tasted good it took lots of effort to eat this dish Kinda disappointed after seeing 4 star review on Yelp and expecting a great meal. Don't think we'll come back again given that there's so many good restaurants at Flushing.

The portions are very good at this price range.

Food came ... unbelievably fast. Wonder if things were premade Dishes themselves though tasted decent. The chicken mushrooms stew was yummy - not chicken but the broth and mushrooms. 上菜太快了让人蜜汁不放心。点完菜五分钟全上齐了。服务员全站一排一个个都百无聊赖。 小鸡炖蘑菇还是很好吃的。拉皮很一般。

Excellent Chinese food in Flushing. Fu Run is a quaint place that is no-frills they even have a lazy susan on the table, which is perfect for sending all those dished around to sample. Whether you live in NYC or visiting, Fu Run is a must-have! The delivery is even great, they are consistent and delish, I'm so happy my bf got me hooked on Fu Run. The dishes I love are the shrimp/pork fried rice, Muslim lamb chops, sizzling beef, shredded pork in hot fresh peppers, pork lo mein, shrimp, keek, & pork dumplings, scallion pancakes, chicken w. cashew nuts, and chicken and broccoli!

I came here with a group of people and we shared a lot of platters. The Green Bean Sheet Jelly with Sesame Sauce wasn't that great to start and the stir fried sour cabbage with pork and vermicelli wasn't that great either. The servers were not attentive, we had to ask frequently for rice, which is included in the meal but they didn't bring it, tea and anything we needed, they only gave us one paper napkin each. They also said that it was going to take too much time to make desserts for all of us, we were 10 people. The restaurant was half way empty and the sour cabbage took forever, so bit of a contradiction there. The good stuff: The scallion pancakes, braised pork belly, chinese watercrest in garlic sauce, crispy sliced fish with chili pepper and cumin, beef with vegetables, triple delight veggies, fried fish in red bean paste were all delicious! I wasn't crazy about the Muslim lamp chops and the lamb and carrot dumplings.

I've had the lamb dish twice, and honestly can't say I really enjoy it that much. Even though this is their most famous dish and is covered with cumin and other spices, the meat was a bit dry and tough. I would encourage you to read Dan Z.'s review below for a more detailed analysis. The rest of the dishes here are average - good, but nothing to write home about and probably not worth going out of your way for.
