Note : OPEN TILL 8 PM not 9. From Polish stores that serve food amongst other things, this place is the best. Food delicious and fresh (11$ for chicken cutlet potatoes and salad). The ladies are nice but understand they’re on their feet all day working in a tight space. A little kindness goes a long way with them. I love how neatly products are stocked and just love the store overall. I don’t get to come as often as I’d like to.
My first time going to Hetman Deli and I'm utterly elated . The place is clean and the staff were helpful. Had the stuffed cabbage with mashed potatoes and salad for lunch and it was delicious. I also picked up a few yummy Pączek for dessert

Easily the best Polish Deli in Ridgewood and New York City for steam table Polish takeout, and probably the best Polish Deli in the United States.The chicken or pork or fish cutlet are all excellent - great breading and fried perfectly. The side salads are unreal - try the beets in varying forms or the amazing carrot slaw with just the right amount of horseradish.Great pierogies too.Quite affordable as well. $9ish for a huge platter of food, heavy as all get out. You will be satisfied.
