Meowlife, more like. At my farm house, anyway. When I get a free drink it takes a lot for me to not give it a 5-star rating just based on the generosity alone. Or perhaps a four. If it's not very good. However the two drinks that I had here were so disappointing that I have no choice but to give it 3 out of 5. They have a very weird unusual Innovative menu that is unlike anything I've seen before, but I tried two of their most popular drinks and it didn't do anything for me so it's unlikely I will be trying any more. Sorry, but if they closed down, I'm not surprised.

Prices are more expensive than usual like (Coco's or Gongcha). I ordered Mango Smoothie ($4.75). The taste is very artificial. I believe it only had 1 ingredient and it was NOT mangoes. Not only that, the syrup balance was off, so the drink ended up becoming very, very sweet.. It made me more thirsty. I'm not sure if I want to try their other drinks...

Mio is another favorite tea spot place in Flushing not like Coco or Kung Fu Tea! They're another small family run shop located in a mini-mall store on Roosevelt. Run by two women owners, they have a wide array of drinks- a few of which have become my favorite late-night drinks. My recommends would be the grapefruit and the rose teas! These two flavors have real fruit and flower infused in the tea which, I find, make it very special. Price is average to other bubble tea shops. There's a deal sometimes where you can order two and get a third free. Not only does Mio serve drinks, they also make sandwiches, desserts, and takoyaki. They look really delicious but have never tried! They accept card with an $8 min so bring cash if you plan on paying for one drink. There is also a stamp card available so you can become a regular and get free drinks after every 10th drink. Win, win!

The first time I came was with a friend and we ordered drinks and I don't remember what my drink was, so I guess it wasn't very memorable, but at least the aesthetics are nice. I tried their takoyaki this time and I thought they were on par with the Tea Twitter's takoyaki. You get 6 pieces for $8, I think. And they gave me a dessert version of takoyaki with it, which was filled with a slice of banana and drizzled with nutella. They only have the regular octopus filled takoyaki, so the menu is short lol and be very careful because it's steaming hot. My only complaint was that it took them really long to make it. I was the only person there, so I felt awkward just sitting there like I've been stood up on a date and there are signs that say free wifi, but I couldn't connect to it. I almost thought they were making the batter from scratch, until I saw the 2 girls that were the only ones working at that time talking to someone from another shop. I wasn't in any hurry, but still.

"Mio Cafe" appeared not only a coffee shop, but also a clothing store?? There is the other booth that has a similar menu. As hubby and I were leaving here, I saw a money transfer place toward the end. Weird? I didn't think so because I've seen this type of setup in some Asian countries. I actually don't know if all the vendors on this floor are related or owned by the same person, yet this wouldn't be the center of our discussion. We stopped in for a quick break before heading back to Manhattan. "Mio" is steps away from MTA- Main Station in downtown Flushing. Thus, the location would be convenient if you like to take your beverage to-go. I was very glad to have a seat and enjoy my iced matcha green tea. I didn't think the girl who made the drink closed the lid well. After I took the first sip, it was dripping pretty heavily on my pants. The drink was made well. I was just annoyed because of the leaking problem. The table that we were sitting at was slightly sticky, though that didn't really bother us. Overall, it was a neat place to get a quick bite or alleviate one's thirst. I have to agree with fellow Yelpers that the prices are on a higher side, but in my opinion they are still within the acceptable range.

Very cutesy window that you can order from if you're outside. They have a poster of the top flavors, and I decided on the Mio Coconut. There was a slight problem here, because the menu outside said it was $4.25; the cashier told us to come into the shop and charged us $4.75 inside. But the menu inside DID have different pricing, so I felt doubly confused. Fortunately, the cashier was understanding and charged us $4.25, then went outside to change that menu. The smoothie itself was quite beautiful, hot fudge drizzled onto the sides of the cup and swirl of whipped cream to finish everything up. It tasted a bit like a pina colada (without the alcohol), but too watery and icy for my liking. I'd prefer something creamier. Overall, three stars.

I have stopped by for their $1 ice coffee and ice teas. The people working here are friendly which is an added plus! They seem to be one of several stalls including a clothing store and an ice cream shop. They also have seating in a corner so you don't have to stand the whole time. They have a large selection of other drinks which I will need to try at some point soon!

Nice cute cafe. The workers are so nice! The sandwich was nice a new light. The atmosphere was nice and calm. Great for chilling with a friend for a coffee date. The coffee was good a bit to creamy for my liking but still good. Will come back to try thier other unique drinks!

This store has made me sign up for a yelp account. It was really that bad. Shaved ice which I ordered was literally all water along with ice cubes that are probably an inch in diameter. It is far from "shaved" , it is chunks of ice and water with fruits and red bean. Looks like something my toilet burped up, it looked simply too nasty to even try. I also ordered sandwiches which were made from stale bread, not even 1 day old, I am talking about hero's that have been sitting in your kitchen for 3-4 days, you can't even bite into their hard bread. I would give the benefit of the doubt that the shaved ice melted during its trip to my house ( very unlikely though ) but there is no excuse for this old and funky bread. I threw everything away from my 30 dollar order as I am not willing to risk my health for a few dollars. I would stay far away from this store. -- On another note, Flushingfood was nice enough to help me out with this order when they did not need to at all and it wasn't their fault that the food was so horrible. I highly recommend this delivery service if you are in the Flushing area. --

Absolutely love the vibe of this coffee place! The decorations are very cute and they have very special and unique drinks. Some times like -rose coffee -taro macchiato -matcha macchiato -rose tea Etc... They also offer Italian sandwiches and other gourmet sandwiches as well, and right across is pink bear rolled ice cream. There coffee is pretty good. Will definitely be back, but took one star off because prices are a bit high.

Get the rose green tea with coconut jelly! They use real rose petals too.

Finally, a coffee shop in the heart of downtown Flushing other than Starbucks that's affordable but serves actual coffee (no disrespect to the Chinese bakery coffee but y'all know what I mean). My go-to spot when I need an afternoon pick-me-up. A wide variety of organic coffee, of which I've tried the rose coffee which was delicious and fragrant. But usually I just go for a regular cup'a joe, hot or iced, and it hits the spot every time (except my last experience w/ the iced coffee which was watered down in suspect promotion for the new iced Americano). They also serve lite bites like sandwiches as well as sweets (cakes, cream puffs, etc). Service is pretty good, kinda varies with the barista but no complaints from me so far. Also has seats and wifi.

Being a new cafe on Roosevelt and a s***** for new generation startups, I had to try Mio cafè. The cafe is located in one of the many stall type stores that litter flushing. While the cafe is clean it seems to be lacking in actual flavor. When I first came here, I ordered Mio's Awakening which is described as "Specialty Cafe Smoothies, Chocolate, Condensed Milk." I figured that since it was on the top of the list it had to be good. Unfortunately, I wasn't really sure what I got. It wasn't a smoothie. It seemed and tasted like chocolate syrup mixed with water poured over some ice. I've stopped in here a few more times since then and it seems like nothing really piques my interest here. Their Menu is still very unclear and unhelpful. While they do have pictures of sandwiches and other random foods, I have yet to see a menu that has them listed. This store and many of the other stalls inside just leave me extremely confused. The one good thing about this store is that they take credit cards, and would actually have an interesting atmosphere if it's not shared with the many other random stores. Also they have a self drawn Yelp badge, which is a bit cute, but much more desperate.

First time here, I asked for recommendations, for hot and cold but COFFEE wasn't mentioned in the conversation. So I was just going with my instant, "Avocado Smoothie" which is a huge disappointment to me as it tasted like ... like..... Water with a hint taste of sour, it's like the avocado that wasn't ripe enough. Environment is cool, music is great. Maybe I just got the wrong drink. I'll make sure to try their coffee if I ever come back again. Ps: staff was friendly and nice.
