I ordered Beef Malatang and there were only three or four slices of beef in it. How about just ordering Vegetable Malatang? Anyway I will never eat it again

The taste is okay, but it’s too cheesy. Especially the set meal recommended by the boss. It’s all noodles and fried dough sticks. I even added vegetables and there weren’t even two pieces. There was even less meat.

The food is mediocre. Many veggies are not fresh too. What’s more important, it’s not an honest business. The final charged amount ($75) appeared on my credit card is more than the amount I suggested ($68). Clearly they add more tips behind the scene. Definitely not worth the price. Avoid this restaurant.

The Malatang (麻辣烫) is actually very nice, pretty close to the flavor of standard Malatang franchise in China. The ingredients are fresh and the broth is flavorful. If you want to try very authentic Northeastern flavor, you just need to add 3 -4 spoon of sesame paste, 2-3 spoon of Szechuan peppercorn oil(花椒油) and 2 spoon of sugar. The only downside is a little pricey (around $25) for a quick meal.

It's a very cold afternoon so there was nothing better to eat than hot pot. Since most places are all you can eat or an indiviual pot with a selection of meat, I like this place because your can choose as little or as much variety to your liking. You pick up a bowl and tong and you select types of veggies, meat, seafood, carbs, etc. Forewarning : be ready to pay at least $20 as there is a requirement of at least 1lb of ingredients you must select to sit fry or hot pot. I recommend going for the rich pork broth instead of the tomato-base broth. It is so much more flavorful. I like spicy but their level can be numbing. I recommend plain and add your own chili, hot oil from the condiment bar. After they weigh the ingredients, you pay and wait. Grabbed a table I waited for the buzzer to go off. The wait wasn't too long but again it was 3pm in the afternoon. The hot pot was exactly what I needed!! It warmed me up quickly and it was enough leftover to pack the rest home.Because it is such a large serving I recommend coming here with someone and share a large bowl. But hey I'm ready for leftovers and will go home and add more of my own ingredients for another meal!

The food itself is good. However, there was construction going on next door when we were having our food - quite loud so that’s a big turnoff.

It’s quite delicious. There are so many dishes that it’s hard to be spoiled for choice.

Just wanted to try this place since there is a lot of franchises all over China. Felt like it was just okay.It was definitely so much pricier than it's Flushing counterparts ( The place by the corner of New World Mall food court is pretty good).I got the beef bowl where I choose my own ingredients. They definitely skimped on a lot of the ingredients in terms of portion size. There was barely any of the stuff that I ordered and I was charged for 2.5+ for each item. They also put the wrong order in my bag, correct receipt but misplaced order. Just a bit disorganized and overly pricey lol. Will prob go to other places for dry hotpot instead.

I come here once a week after work. I enjoy the freshness of the food. The staff is friendly. Min price is $20. I think its rather high for a min price.

The food is pretty good. However, I doubt they are actually not giving you the correct amount you pay for. For example, I remember I paid for 6 shrimps but when they cooked it out, there were only 4 shrimps. This is the trick that the business will do to make more profit. So be careful next time and maybe take some photos when you give them your order to cook.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Only few customers inside. A lot of seats available for dine in. Friendly for large groups as well. They have well-selected vegetables, proteins, and carb options on the DIY section. Vegetables look pretty fresh. I quickly selected and picked the food in a food tray for check out. First step, they weighted the food to calculate the price. It's about $32 the food I picked. Then I selected the soup base, and spicy level. Waited less than 15min, I got the food in a well sealed container. I microwaved it again after back home, still tastes delicious. Recommending definitely!
