“We made a trip up and finally stopped. A couple of beers and some wings on the way. The service was great, and the wings were also great, best that we have had in awhile. Definitely stop here!!!”

“So we hit up Forestport for the Eclipse and while clouds rolled in minutes before totality...the food still left us happy. CASH ONLY. And while they have an ATM, it broke while we were there...luckily, we had some. Service was outstanding. Growing up in Minnesota, you truly need to appreciate the authenticity of waitresses in smaller sized towns, they will treat you like a regular if you are kind and let you know the business end if you aren't. Basically, you get what you give. We had amazing service and awesome food. Just a GOOD FYI- they cook in order of ticket and cook to order so it can take a bit longer but it was worth the wait!”

“We just shopped at Awsome Country but the staff was super friendly and informative! It's one of those places you could walk around three times and see something new each time! At first it doesn't appear to have a ramp entrance, but it does on the side towards the accompanying boutique store that you don't want to miss!Wheelchair accessibility: On the side of the building that faces the boutique.”

“Love this Old Timey Restaurant they also rent out there fairly good sized Banquet Hall area.Parking: Park right up front if you have a wheelchair and in the winter there driveways always plowed very well.Kid-friendliness: Lots of cool things to amuse kids.Wheelchair accessibility: They will even hold the door for you.”

“This was an unexpected highlight of a recenttripto the Adirondacks. Right off, I do prefer places that reflect the local flavor over places that try to reflect the tastes of other places. In other words, I appreciate authenticity. The Tavern on the Gorge boasted a friendly staff, good bar food and a welcoming atmosphere with a good assortment of beverage offerings. I happened to catch this place during a night whereby they had comedians from NYC. The comedians were very good and got plenty of laughs poking fun at the Afirondack lifestyles and values. The patrons appreciated this ribbing and a great night of unexpected fun was a much needed release for me and my wife. We will return on our next trip to the North Country to recapture this homespun experience.”

“I was very surprised to see how clean it was. I never seen a clean subway before. Food I got wasnt hot enough. My mom like her steak and cheese but the meatballs were too cold for me. She kept it in the oven for 5 seconds when it needed 2minutes maybe. I felt like she just wanted me out of there so she can go back to cleaning up.”

“In my trips to New York I always look forward to Pizza at White Lake Inn. We have camp in Otter Lake, NY. Let me say Pizza Joe on Monday's is a must do for anyone looking for Pizza that has LOVE as a main ingredient. That said, order, expect it in over 45 minutes and expect to wait when you arrive. It is what it is.We (Wife, Sister-In-Law) have Dined In also. The food is always good and the pricing is medium as expected for a bar/restaurant. Highly recommend, just DON'T BE IN A HURRY and expect strained service. Relax and enjoy the extra time together.”

“Gas station convenience store converted to gas station DD. Gas station busy, with 1 attendant. About 6 people waiting to get their orders made. No bathroom visible, 1 employee bathroom outside locked of course. Place out in rural area. Stony Brook looks scenic, but this DD appeared pretty sub par. How a gas station got through planning board without public bathroom is 1 legit question, how it got through DD franchise requirements is 2nd legit question. As Simon Cowell would say, it s a NO from me.22 May 2023”
