I went last week, and it had just opened when I went. The environment is very good, the decoration style is like a log cabin, very high-quality. Their family is famous for their very grassy and juicy IPA. I had their Ipa, stout and guest cider. It's worth mentioning that their cups are great too. The clerk is enthusiastic.”

The owners along with their Umbertos staff are"The Tops" as Mel Tormae would say. “The food is always fresh and hot. There omelets and home fries are delicious as they are full of flavor and you can tell they use fresh ingredients. There french fries are delicious I didn't need any ketchup. The quality of the food is great as well as the portions. I find the staff to be very friendly. This is a terrific place to get delicious food.”

“I was greeted well by the server at the register and she helped me pick a sandwich, chips and drink meal. Prompt, kind, friendly and attentive to whatever questions I had, my experience throughout was good. There was no room for complaints. The sandwich was good not out of this world but I didn't expect to be blown away either. Sometimes you want a simple sandwich, chips and a drink to wash it all down and I think anyone looking for something simple and fresh will enjoy coming here.

Kid-friendliness: Plenty of seats both inside and out, you will not regret bringing your kids along to enjoy a meal here. The decorations inside are also very thematic to the atmosphere and food.”

“At first it might feel like a generic take out spot, and to be fair it is, however as I waited for my order and went ahead and ordered more, I noticed something very strange. I was patient, polite but also direct with what I wanted and communicated it well. At the end, I left with a smile on my face because they reciprocated all of the things I mentioned and then some by making sure I got enough sauces and thanked me three times. It is the little things that makes you return to a business and I sure will. They have $10 card minimum but take cash. My total was $16 for a double sautéed pork and fried rice combo the side and something similar but with shrimp with lobster sauce. I was happy to leave them the $20 and was on my way to enjoy the food. Overall it was a great experience so I think anyone patient enough should give this place a try.

Parking: You can park on the lot that the store stands on or park along the street that has ample parking for almost 6 cars.

Kid-friendliness: Enough seating for people to sit and eat, wait for their food for takeout, or come and go so there is no problem to bring your kids along.”

“I was spending a few hours with friends I had not spent time with in person for several years. At one point, one in our party wanted coffee, so we decided to look around for a place for coffee, and found Cafe Nico's. The cappuccino was delicious, and I also had a flaky pastry filled with a vanilla custard sauce. Since the cafe is Italian, I cannot refer to it as a croissant. This is one of the few places that is cash only. I look forward to returning, the first chance I can.”

“Best chocolate chip cookies, rye bread, and rolls. I always swing by when visiting Glen Cove. My grandparents lived on Red Spring Lane until the late 70's. My Dad and many of his cousins were fortunate to have the bakery just down the hill. My Dad often spoke of how the bakery was a pit stop on the way to Morgan's Park to get into various shenanigans. Please frequent this bakery, since it is so very old and very much part of the Landing's identity.”

“Typical Chinese takeout place, yello fried rice versus the typical brown, the chicken was flat white meat versus the dark meat chunk style on my chicken and cashews but it had a decent flavor. Soup was standard nothing overly good or bad about it. Egg roll was crispy and fresh, I'd eat here again.”

“I accidentally discovered SoBol while I was walking around, but I’m very glad I did. I got a kids size coconut smoothie bowl (I wasn’t sure if i’d like it) with some nutella, and it was delicious. I also got a spirulina smoothie and it was so good that I’ve visited SoBol twice more to satisfy my cravings! My brother got a Chocolate Cacao smoothie, and he absolutely loved it, he finished it in approximately 5 minutes. He would recommend it for kids or for adults with a sweet tooth!”

“I have had the pleasure of eating dinner 5 times at Mazar Kabob. The experience has been consistently Excellent. The food is delicious, the staff is personable, gracious and friendly. The ambience is pleasant and conducive to quiet conversation where you do not have to shout across the table. Love the fact that you can eat a vegetarian meal or enjoy one of the many meat offerings. There are many good restaurants in Glen Cove and IMHO, this is one of the very best. It also is Halal and you can BYOB. Do not hesitate to bring your whole family to this remarkable restaurant.”

I go here once a week and the staff are super attentive and friendly. You can find parking on the street, as they do have a tiny parking lot.”

“Good food made fresh. Fair prices (even with inflation going crazy). Owners are always very nice and friendly. I normally order the beef with scallions or pork with garlic sauce. It’s always very good and large portions. Fried rice needs a bit more seasoning for my taste but husband loves it! I highly recommend this local small business. Only downside is that they have no online menu.

Daniel was our server. He was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience….. Especially for a family with dietary needs, the restaurant experience can be difficult….not here!!

The food was delicious! Our daughter loves the chicken wings, and we had tacos, the burger, and Mexican salad. All food was wonderful! Definitely will be going back!

“You can feel like in a real American movie there! Personally, I recommend pancakes with chocolate chip and warm strawberry sauce, I'm shocked that I ate the entire portion because it was huge.
