“Absolutely amazing pizza and wings. Always hit this location when coming into Rochester because the service is fast and professional. Food is always hot and ready when you arrive to pick up, and they always have to go silverware and napkins, plates available. Prices are incredible for what you get. Definitely recommend ? hitting Mark's Pizza when in Rochester, NY.“
“Oh my god theyve got some GOOOOOD vegan cheese here. Get the garlic knots.Vegetarian options: Vegan so totally vegetarian friendly. Their fake meats are pretty good. Overall a good experience.Kid-friendliness: They hang up drawings kids had made for them. Theres a book nook for them to read from.“
“My husband and I had a great meal here for my birthday ! We ordered octopus starter, I had scallops and he had lamb lollipops. Everything was so delightfully fresh and delicious ! We overheard the owner say most of the seafood had come from Boston area just a day prior and you could definitely tell with how tender the scallops were ! The atmosphere has allure, great for an intimate meal and had a couple large parties so could host a larger party as well. There was plenty of parking. Josh was our waiter and said he was new but was attentive and helpful with menu recommendations. Prices are a bit on the higher end but dont let that deter you, the quality and great service makes it worth every penny! We will be back- wehad trouble not going back later in the week !“
“Mt first time ordering from there and I have to say my family and I are not disappointed the service when I walked in was very friendly and professional and the pizza was amazing especially with the hot honey sauceI will definitely be back to try different “
“Strangebird is a beautiful space and was bursting with energy when I stopped in for dinner. The decor reminded me of NYC or San Francisco, inspired design. The beers on tap are not your ordinary IPAs although they have a few of those. Sours, Belgians, and other interesting brews. I took home Mount Hope which is a lager with Pinot Noir grapes. I enjoyed the beers I tried, it pays to experiment. The food for me was decent, I opted for the smash-burger, which was serviceable, but the pizza looks like a good option. I would return to Strangebird. Outstanding service at the bar.“
“This place is the best. Whenever I’m up visiting my brother for a week, I make at least 3 stops here. Service is awesome, food is amazing. Every time it’s falafel, and chicken shawarma. It’s so good you can get the same thing for days on end and never get sick of it. It really is an awesome little joint.“
“This place is amazing! Me and my brother come here all the time and we love it. The pizza is great and the owners are very friendly and kind. For me this place is a perfect 10/10 would definitely recommend and do.Kid-friendliness: They have chalk board for kids to draw on while they wait. I personally don’t have children, but I’d say the restaurant is very kid friendly.“
“I've had pizza at restaurants, bars, food trucks, venues, and many, many random places. Not only locally, but every where in my travels. I was never a fan of deep dish style pizzas - I'm a true NY thin pizza lover. You know what I'm talking about. The kind you fold like a taco and you have to do the "lean over" as you take a bite, so the oil doesn't drip from the pepperoni cups down your hands and all over yourself - Mmmm. Then...that came to a halting stop when I stepped foot in "Pizza Wizard". Their pizza is almost addictive. That crust ! OMG that crust !! FYI - They did get the 'Best Pizza' award in the Rochester "City" magazine. KUDO's Pizza Wizard, now can you please make a 'Crust' flavored pizza, because the flavor of the crust alone should have have a spot light. To everyone else, you need to check it out for yourself - I don't care if you're not a deep dish style pizza lover, just try it.“
“This posh place stays busy, so just remember to make a reservation unless you want to eat at the bar! Now, everything I ordered was big and too much! Had leftovers for days!!! ?The ceiling is exposed, the cocktails are strong, and the menu is niche! Dimly lit, you can access this restaurant from outside or inside of Village Gate. And don't forget the food is delicious! My falafel was a bit overcooked, but hey... ??♀️“
“It's all about the meat here, home made meat sauce for them garbage plates is prime. Best west side cheese steak subs and the unique selection of sausages is amazing here. From mild & hot to Josh Allen, jalapeno, & french toast breakfast sausage it's all so good.“
“A great dinner at Fiorella tonight. A cozy spot by the public market, this went under our radar for a long time until some friends recommended we give it a try.The food was incredible (for the most part), as well as the service. We came unbeknownst to us on gnocchi night (Thursdays), and the pizza special was meatball which we had to try. My main, the sausage and polenta, was absolutely delicious. I watched a lot of the chicken cutlet dishes come out while we were waiting and was wondering if I made the wrong choice, but I definitely didn't. Next time I'll definitely give the cutlets a try.Dessert was also killer. The lemon cookies with a scoop of the sweet cream gelato were incredible. One downside and what I am seeing on other reviews that I can corroborate is the Cacio e Pepe was just bland pasta and some cheese. Visually this dish looked amazing so I'm not sure how it missed on flavor so bad. A minor blemish on an overall wonderful dinner. Can't wait to come back here.“
“We visited Saturday night. Our bartender was Jake and he was awesome. Ordered yummy pizzas and had the best caesar salad in town. We also purchased some great beer to enjoy on Sunday. FANTASTIC job guys, and thanks for the glass. Made my night.“
“I judge every restaurant by their Caesar salad….they passed the test! Also, HIGHLY recommend the Fig Blossom cocktail. The balance of flavors was perfect. It was very refreshing & laid back. Not overwhelming with sweetness or acidity. Made for a great double date! It’s very busy & noisy, which isn’t my favorite, but it’s clear that they are a hit with locals!“
“Gluten free pizza and mocktails! What a fun place for food and drinks! They have a wood oven they make all their pizzas in, minus the gluten free.Gluten free is prepared and cooked separately to reduce cross contamination. Be prepared to wait +20 minutes for a gf pizza.I ordered the pizza special on the gluten free crust. Not bad! It’s a bit thicker (not full Detroit but not NYC thin). Overall, not bad. I would order it again, but this wouldn’t be my first choice for a GF pizza. The crust fine, a little dense and premade. They have a couple of fun mocktail options that aren’t some overpriced lemonade junk. I would recommend going for the atmosphere and drinks (alcoholic or not). I’m excited to see what else I can try on the menu. The staff are so friendly and helpful! All my questions were answered and it was so fun watching everyone cook at the pizza oven!Street parking only.“
“Please start taking reservations!!! I’ve tried to go 4 different times over the last couple of months now with a wait time of 1.5hrs or more. I love this restaurant and luckily there are good options close by but haven’t even been able to enjoy Vern’s in far too long because of the wait.“
“Love this place. Wings and burgers are exceptional. In fact, wings are some of the best in the area. Haven’t tried the pizza yet but everyone loves it. Reasonable prices. Service is top notch. Great atmosphere. Fun people. A good place to watch the game.and have a few drinks.“
“First of all, I love their pizza. On my top 3 list. What was so special was that they helped us with my daughter's gender reveal. Also because the owner made the pizza himself for this occasion and used the sauce to make a G for a girl. All the staff came out to help us with this celebration and they were all so kind and thoughtful. They said it was the first time they ever did a gender reveal and on the spot too. Let's not make it the last!“
“I used to frequent the other cam's by east and Alex before the pandemic hit and swept it away. I used to love it as it reminded me of nj boardwalk pizza . I finally stopped into this other location and got my two favorite slices and a drink for 10 bucks. Still love it and this isn't a bad deal these days! The guy behind thel counter was incredibly friendly too. I'll be back to top up my punch-card until I get some free stuff! ?“
“I was visiting Rochester and this pizzeria was across the street from the hotel. Decided to give it a shot. Upon entering, it felt homely. They had an interesting setup and the gentleman at the counter would read out orders via a PA system basically. It was different from other restaurants I've been to. He also greeted all the regulars by name and would ask them "The usual?" It showed great customer service. The food was also very tasty. Would definitely visit again if I ever come back to the area.“
“A Symphony for the Mouth. The perfect pizza. The best pizza in Rochester. Pizzaiolo and boss Jerry makes culinary works of art the rest of us call "pizzas." I've eaten pizza all over Rochester and hands down La Famiglia is our favorite place to go for pizza...pizza mervigliosa. The thin crust is crispy on the bottom and chewy on the top. The sauce is not overly seasoned nor salty, and you can taste tomato rather than oregano or some other additive. Lots of toppings. Everything just plain works together. Thanks also to "Jean from Long Island" who is a sincere, kind and knowledgable person who served our drinks and pizza. Made this meal a pleasure.Seriously, if you love pizza you have to have it here at La Famiglia. No other pizzeria comes close.“
“1st time at Nino's & our pizza was delicious. I do enjoy great food & music from hole in the wall, family places like Nino's. He made a special pizza for my mom & it was so crispy, & delicious, loaded with toppings that we enjoyed it to quickly for pictures. Thanks again:)“
“My vodka sauce was very spicy but they did do another dish for me without the spice I did appreciate that. It was too noisy but it is a pretty restaurant. the waitress was nice and pleasant but should not lean over customers as a rule when passing things , she seemed to do this a lot especially at one end of the table where someone was sitting and he did not like it. I wanted to give some real feedback but we will be back to try another dish and the pizza“
“I love this cute spot in the Winton area. My friend was running late so I went to the bar and had a great. The bartender was great. She asked if I wanted their special, I can't recall the name of the drink, but it was grapefruit base margarita. It was delicious. My friend got there we sat in their outdoor area. It is a cute setup and a nice evening sitting outside. The waitress ( I didn't catch her name, but I want to assume that she is new at being a server ??) told us the specials and I asked if their chicken Tuscan pasta dish was the same dish that was posted on their FB page yesterday and she said she didn't know because she didn't work that day. I asked for a straw and never received it. She didn't refill our waters when needed, and the biggest thing was when she brought our check with our cards, she was trying to multi-task with having a tray of drinks and trying to put the booklet onto our table, she ending tossing it to our table. I have never gone to a restaurant where they toss anything onto my table. I do hope she was new at being a server and it that never happens again. (The food we ordered was delicious. We had the spring pea and asparagus Risotto, creamy and absolutely tasty. We also ordered the Fungi pizza, if you love mushrooms, this is the pizza you will love. Crust was crispy, and the combination of the ingredients was great!)“
“A bit overhyped. "The best in Rochester" I've heard a few times.Only thing preference wise I wasn't a fan of was the sauce and dough. Tasted bland. The cheese and pepperoni were great and cooked well. Smokes Pontillo's and Salvatore's off the map.8 outta 10“
“The people were incredibly nice and the pizza was great. Recommend trying the Dill Pickle Pizza if you like pickles. It's a lot of pickles so you have to really like pickles. If you don't really like pickles I would get a different type of pizza. I can't emphasize enough how many pickles are on the dill pickle pizza.“
“We had Mozzeroni cater our basketball banquet. The food was delicious and it we didn't have much food left. Their customer service was wonderful. I will use them again and again to cater any event that we are going to throw in the future.“
“I called in my order and the man on the phone taking my order seemed like I was putting him out calling my order in! We ordered a large pizza, light sauce, 1/2 pepperoni, 1/2 plain cheese. When we get there, there is a sign on the register 'Cash Only'. Now, I thought why did this grown man taking my order not tell me on the phone. A surprising coincidence they have an ATM in the store. Are they getting a cut of the ATM surcharge? Luckily I had enough cash. The pizza was flat and looked like old dough was used. The crust took up about 2 inches of the pizza, then about 1 inch of just dried red sauce. With a light sprinkle of cheese in the center. Only a few pepperonis were on half. Across the street behind the firehouse is the best pizza Rochester has had since Bay and Goodman pizza... Perri's. So- pass by Pizza Shack and go directly to Perri's!“
“This is what the Cornhill neighborhood needs. I came in one night on my way home from work and it did not disappoint. I had a couple of the appetizers but my favorite was the scalloped wrapped bacon. It's a delicious plate of bacon sandwiches but substitute the bread with scallops. Since I went in about 3 weeks ago I've been back twice for the same. Top notch service as well as a very friendly environment. I bet this place goes crazy when the weather is nicer and the back patio is open.“
“Ordered for pickup, the food was ready right when we got there. Had the wings and a couple bolis and I'm still thinking about how tasty they were. I got pepperoni and ricotta in mine and it was the perfect balance between stromboli and calzone. So tasty and would highly recommend. I would probably get the sauce on the side the next time I order wings to go though to prevent spillage as the wings weren't packed super tight. But just something to keep in mind. Still tasted great.“
“Had been there a few times in the past. However this time was for Pi day. The staff was well prepared for the rush and had a nice flow going. The only issue was their registers froze. However we're able to get them up and running within 10 mins. Not something they could control. Pizza is amazing. So many options, sauce, cheeses and toppings. As well as topping sauces. Good fountain drink options and others for kiddos.Vegetarian options: They offer vegan cheese options as well as crust too (cauliflower esp)Dietary restrictions: Offer gluten free crust options, as well as the above mentioned.Wheelchair accessibility: The doorway can be tight if a lot of people but a wheelchair should be able to move with some ease.“
“Arthur Jaxon is a hidden gem of the Rochester area. though they only offer take out, their food is really really good, very quick and incredibly reasonably priced. I wasn’t a huge fan of their pepperoni pizza, however recently it has been better than EVER. Their pulled pork pizza is always good. The employees are very kind and friendly. My fiancé and I frequent this place a lot and highly recommend it. When we have company we always grab a sheet. We have picky people in our family so sometimes we do have sheet one way, half the other and they always accommodate us. Great place can’t say it enough. Also stop by for ice cream in the summer it’s really good. The location kinda sucks, honestly but again it’s a take out restaurant and well worth the stop.“
“Magnolia's Deli & Cafe is a truly perfect little space encompassing much of what the culture of Rochester, NY, has to offer. The interior of the establishment is wonderful crafted making you feel as if you're sitting in the Italian countryside enjoying an espresso on a warm sunny day. The food is absolutely excellent especially the soups and the grilled cheese too is second to none :) The service told - some of the best that I have ever experienced!!This was my first trip to Magnolia's but it certainly will not be my last!!“
“Love love love! While my family orders from Two Ton Tony's, I order from New Ethic, and I'm never disappointed. I feel lucky to have such a great option for dairy free pizza- and their milkshakes are incredible too! Matt and Kathy are great along with the teens who work there. Quality control is on point, and last time... I couldn't decide between a traditional pizza and my favorite- the pickle pizza. It's sooooo good!! I highly recommend New Ethic. You're treated like family if you're a regular, and I always look forward to going there. The dining room is back open as well!! :-) Go try it, even if you're not vegan. You won't be disappointed!!Dietary restrictions: I'm so grateful for a dairy free option nearby!! Woot!“
“Been going here when they was called Yemani's. I was going here before the Feds raided (2001) them as if they were criminals. These my peoples!!!! Young boi tried to stab me in there and Joe disarmed the little MF. ???Big Shout out to Joe and Salah. #700 if you get a sub make sure that bread toasted.“
“Went for Bloody Mary drink which was excellent. They have the specialty ones only Sunday yet very enjoyed their in-house made. Server VERY friendly, pleasant. Was very nice, comfortable there. Didn't have any food but will go again for sure.“
“Vern's didn't have any parking and I wasn't about to walk in the cold, so I gave Freddie's a shot. Ordered a slice of the pepperoni and one cabonera. The pepperoni was great. I probably should have ordered another slice while there, but didn't want to stuff myself. The atmosphere leans towards a younger crowd with arcade games and a stage for singers, which is pretty unique for a pizza place. Had no issues and I'll certainly recommend Freddie's to others. Thanks“
“A build your style pizza place with many unique sauces and possible combinations. Will have to try wings and dessert a different day. While I prefer a thicker crust (which was a possible upgrade that I declined for my first visit) we tried the "thingamajig" and the "Rochester" -- both were very good. Kids selections were much less adventurous. My only negative would be the cost, especially for large families. A local competitor has "kids eat free on Sunday"(with adult purchase) I did not see any smaller size pizzas, coupons, kid friendly pricing or promotions to the liking. We spent here for 4 what I'd spend normally for a small family party. We would maybe return on a date night, but not with the whole crew.Kid-friendliness: Kids will like the ability to pick and choose what they want, but it's not cheap“
“We moved to the Chili area a couple of years ago. For a bit, we struggled to find a good pizza on this side of town. Then we tried this place, we have now ordered from there 4 times and this has become our go-to spot. This seems to be the only pizza place on this side of town that is capable of consistently producing great pizza. This time, we ordered a white pizza with broccoli, onions, and spinach. It was absolutely delicious, not to mention visually appealing as well. It was coming out of the oven right at pick up as well. This Pontillos location is amazing. We will be back for sure.“
“Nice atmosphere with friendly staff and owner and welcoming regulars at the bar as you walk in. Good specials and knowledgeable waiter who was their chef before. Food was solid but toast was overcooked and burnt. Serves until 10 so good for a late night dinner.“
“Good pizza. Probably the best pizza in the proximity around the Irondequoit area but they are in the city. I'd put their pizza up against Amicos which is probably the best in Irondequoit. The guy answer the phone was very friendly. Place very clean inside. Ordered sheet pizza and asked for 20 plates for a kids party they said they could only give me 15. The guy that took my order was on the phone with a customer and interrupted "the vender fell through and didn't deliver enough plates" and that they need to use dollar store plates. They were nice to give me 25, but gave.them back probably around 10 back since they were making a big deal about it. Spending almost 40 dollars on a sheet I think as a customer they should supply plates unless they don't do that. Good pizza. I will order again. Don't worry. Thank you.“
“The food was ok, my niece ordered a pizza, ended up eating 1 piece and throwing it out, i had shrimp cesear salad and it was good, my sister had rigatoni with meatball, that was good also. I also ordered wings for appetizer, they came baked, i believe and smothered in onions, not sure why , but i guess thats how they come. They tasted good, onions not needed.“
“Hands down my favorite pizza in Rochester. I've tried most single and chain pizza places in the area and I haven't beaten this. I grew up near NYC so I have decently high pizza standards. But it's DELICIOUS. It's only take-out but it's worth “
“We are extremely pleased with our Christmas catering order. Chicken French, Chicken Parm, pasta, salad, and more were all packed perfectly and carried right on time out to our car on Christmas Eve. Everything was delicious, we will be back!“
“Love the pizza here, they definitely use quality ingredients, prices are reasonable, I use to go here about once a week for years until I moved a few years back I’ve never once gotten bad food from here it’s always consistent, I just wish they were open later I now live and work on the other side of the city, hard to get over there in time but I get it, everyone is closing earlier nowadays.“
“Can't recommend this place more. Top notch cocktail service. Love that they make all their own syrups and that they have a good diverse selection of spirits in their cocktails. Great beer selection as well. Highly recommend the chicken nuggets as the honey mustard was next level amazing. Really great place all around.Kid-friendliness: Please don't bring your kids to bars ??♀️“
“This place has been on my list to check out for a while. Met the needs of my family of five and everyone's dietary preferences. Nothing very healthy about the food, but I had eggplant parm for the first time in years….and it was really good! Will likely make the drive again for vegan subs and pizza. One of the only Italian places in Rochester that serves vegan food!“
“Overall, a nice option for a night out. Service was friendly and fast. The food is quite good. Highly recommend the wedge salad and brussels sprouts. I rarely order pasta when dinning out- however, their "Black Garlic Pappardelle" was delicious- I've honestly been craving it. Their swordfish special was perfectly prepared.Cocktails were also quite good- the "Basil Instinct" and "Jalapeño business" were well prepared and well balanced. My only critiques (and these will not deter me from going back or recommending Branca)-- the overall atmosphere was a bit lacking... Although it was clean--the interior seemed somewhat generic. The dinning area was quite loud and the tables were rather close together.I also felt the menu was slightly limited- nothing really jumped out at us- however, we were very happy with our selections.“
“I've had Amico's all of 4 times now. Two of which were people bringing the pizza into work or a party, and we loved those pies. Both those times were great. Since they don't deliver out to our part of West Irondequoit, we stopped here twice now on our own.The first time we just did a normal pepperoni pie, and garlic parm wings. Very basic, and we didn't love it, didn't hate it. But it was different from when we had it before. (I will say neither my wife nor I liked the garlic parm sauce, mainly because it didn't stick, and was not very well coated making the wings just vaguely butter flavored. We found that first pie was too thick, but it wasn't bad.We just had it a second time Friday, and asked our friends how they ordered, and all said they had done thin crust. Well, that was the key. The thin crust was what we were used to there, and it was a great pie. Did regular Boss Sauce on the wings, so they were great.Got chicken tenders for our daughter, and they were very thick and juicy as well. So, now that we got the order down, we highly recommend this place.(Pic is of their regular crust, not the thin.)“
“Don’t be fooled by the mall location. Cosimo’s pizza is seriously the best we’ve had in Rochester. Their pizza has great crust that is light, has perfect “pizza oven crunch” and is flavorful. Their sauce and cheese also have great flavor, and toppings are always fresh and cooked perfectly. The calzones are so filling and to die for. I don’t know why it took us so long to realize we could order full pizzas ahead of time but this is our new pizza night in go-to.“
“Love Tony’s Birdland. Been a long time customer from back when on corner of Britton Rd and Dewey Ave when hot dogs where 3/$1. We have never gotten bad food from Tony’s. Our order has alway been right no matter if we call order in or place online. Delivers fast and hot. Delivery driver always is friendly with a smile on his face. Even the staff is friendly when you call no matter how busy they may be. As long as Tony’s Birdland is around, they have a life long customer with us.“
