UPDATE: had dinner there last night. Again this small cozy restaurant with a quaint atmosphere served us a well prepared satisfying dinner. Companion had a seafood fra diavolo medley of calamari, scallops, mussels, clams over linguine. HUGE portion. Pasta, linguine, was cooked al dente. I had scallops fra diavolo over a thinner pasta, lots of scallops. The sauce had the perfect amount of heat, HUGE portion..well seasoned red sauce for both with razor sliced garlic and basil..plenty of finely grated fresh parmesan was on the table. Fresh iceberg salad and garlic bread accompanied the meals. The owners were working onsite and served all patrons. Polite, accommodating, and just genuine down to earth people. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as usual. The covid shutdown did not put a crimp in their quality of food or service..reasonably priced.WRITTEN OVER THREE YEARS AGO PRIOR TO COVID: Was there last night with friends. If you are looking for a cozy, down to earth restaurant with huge portions of quality comfort Sicilian Italian food, this is the place. Great service, family owned and operated. The staff that literally treats you like famiglia. They remember you if you dine there once. Reasonable prices, accommodating all requests. Had eggplant parm with ricotta, side of penne. Fresh high quality ricotta, perfectly cooked eggplant not mushy and the penne was al dente. Sauce had a nice lightly sweet taste, not overkill. Friends had a seafood platter over spaghetti and veal cacciatore with penne. The seafood was cooked perfectly, not over or underdone. The veal melted in your mouth. We stayed at the table for three hours finishing our dinner and wine. They never once asked us to leave. This is an off the beaten path restaurant and a gem.. Highly recommended..

I’ve enjoyed their food, but sadly poor customer service cannot fix that. I’ve heard from two different parties on separate occasions, that a server (Whom they believe is the owner? In which case they aren’t working on tipped wage anyway.) asked, “Aren’t you going to leave me a tip?”. On both occasions the tip was already on the table, she just didn’t see it. I can’t imagine anyone in the service industry actually asking a customer for a tip.

This gem of a restaurant is like coming back home. You will be fed, you will be nourished, you will be welcome, and hailed upon your return by the owners and their long-time wait staff.

Had dinner with my brother. I had a shrimp fra d'ablo. Very nice. More shrimp than I could eat.

Worst food I have ever had. I ordered manicotti and spit my 1st bite out because the cheese was very clearly gone bad. It was sour. There were 4 of us and we all had bad food. When the waitress brought my bill and had taken half off for my meal I responded that I hadn't eaten one bite of my meal so I'm not paying for it either. The manager was extremely rude about it and argued with me.I would never go there again. !

L'Isola D'Oro has been a gem for Sicilian and Southern Italian food for years. We just stopped in and found out that they are in the process of selling. I don't begrudge them selling, but the loss of such a gem will certainly impact the area.

It's good , but the problem was a waitress so fast she wanted every service, she even lied about the closure of the restaurant her name is Amy , just so much hurry to get her shift over

Wish I had taken pictures of the horrible food . One star because zero is not a option. I got the combination of chicken parm and manicotti. I took 1 bite of weird tasting chicken and spit out the one bite of the sour manicotti. The cheese was clearly gone bad and sour. The waitress was unapologetic and brought the bill taking half of my meal off the bill. Um NO I refused to pay anything for my meal as I only actually swallowed one bite if chicken and it wasn't even good. It's clear why this place us closing down.

We were driving home from camping 5 days and saw this Italian restaurant off the highway exit, and I am glad we stopped to eat! It was so delicious and portions of food you get are alot. I got the Lasagna and chicken parmesan combination pick 2 and salad, bread comes like garlic spread, for $17.00, I got a side of meatballs for 2/ $6.00 and they were absolutely yummy. Definitely going back there, nice place to find ‼️

Food was ok but nothing amazing. My husband's salad that came with his meal consisted of iceberg lettuce, chickpeas and 1 cherry tomato. Spaghetti sauce seemed watered down as well...

Excellent food, the very best waitress and wonderful atmosphere...sadly this may be the last review and picture of LDI. The Sauce was perfect and my Rigatoni was cooked just how I like it...Best wishes on your future!

Real Italian food made by real Italians. All was delicious & all took a box home. Owners are the chef and server, and they made us feel welcome.

Awesome authentic Italian food! My wife and I were just passing through, from out of town, and found this hidden gem. Great food and wonderful service!

Every time we visit family in Hamburg, we must stop here for the best Cannolis!! The homemade manicotti and broccoli garlic are favorites too! This restaurant is usually our first stop before we visit family and friends.
