“This was my first time ever eating here, never heard of it, but will highly recommend.The fries and their sauce, extremely addicting and good.The grilled chicken piece's are amazing and not too salty at all.Staff was very nice, polite and happy to answer any questions I had.I can only speak with for this one establishment and not other's, as there isn't one located by me.Dietary restrictions: I have diverticuvolosis, if spelled right, and I cannot have eat spice food at all. I asked if their signature sauce was spicy and the staff was very thorough in letting me know that it was not and which one's were and weren't recommended for me.”

“Shake Shack is always a solid choice. Having them in the newly renovated rest stops on the NY Thruway is a huge improvement over the tired McDonald's and BK locations they've had over the past few decades. The women behind the counter were friendly, the space was clean, line moved quickly and the product was typical of a free standing store. The expected captive audience upcharge was certainly present but not awful. As far as rest stops go, this is just about as good as it gets.”

“Super stylish and elegant SoHo-worthy dining room in tiny Kinderhook, NY. Sort of Asian fusion cooking, very fresh vegetables and imaginative small plates to share. Cauliflower was a favorite, Jasmine rice too. Can get noisy as the night wears on!”

“We got married at Vanderbilt Lakeside in August 2023 and had a wonderful experience working with Henrietta and Matt after stumbling upon the venue on Airbnb. It was meant to be because we later figured out that we had frequented Henrietta’s bar, Night of Joy, in Brooklyn when we first started dating and her amazing aesthetic really comes through. We had our closest friends stay with us at the house for the weekend and hosted 100 guests.The look and feel of the space is uniquely chic and quirky all at once with beautiful modern and vintage accents. It's quite whimsical which makes for awesome wedding photos - we didn’t need any additional decor, except for flowers. The backyard/deck space and lakeside views were exquisite in late summer sunshine. The day of our wedding the rain held out for us and we were able to have our ceremony on the lawn, facing the lake and had dinner under a tent on the deck with additional seating in the adjacent room with the sliding doors fully open, and dancing in the bar room under the disco ball. The lawn games and pool table added to the summery and fun atmosphere.Henrietta was very clear in her communication, very responsive, patient throughout our planning process from beginning to end, and offered recommendations for other vendors and services, which were really helpful to us. Henrietta and Matt were also super helpful and flexible in assisting us with our food and beverage selections, answering our many many questions, and providing staff (who were all friendly and professional) when needed. All of the food was truly excellent and everything was served on time. The grilled cheese sandwiches and handcut fries we had as afterparty snacks were a massive hit. Henrietta was also around and available to assist throughout our wedding weekend, which we really appreciated and she communicated well with all of our vendors.We’re so grateful that we found Vanderbilt Lakeside and will forever cherish the memories of our wedding there. We highly recommend it!”

“We just ordered for the first time today… our order accidentally got messed up and the owner realized it and called us after it was delivered and they delivered the entire correct order without us even having to ask… he insisted they make it right! Great customer service and obviously the pizza was really great too!! Definitely recommend :)”

Their farm-fresh offerings are locally sourced & community-driven (you can literally SEE the farm from your table!). “Stopped in here during a long road trip from Stowe VT to Harrisburg PA. Previous outstanding reviews are spot on...this place is EXCELLENT! We all had the Smokin' Pig sandwich... YUMMY!!! The meat was flavored so good without having to be smothered with BBQ sauce. It had the perfect amount of sauce. Our sides of cole slaw and baked beans were also EXCELLENT! The gentleman who took our order was super nice and provided great service. We will certainly be back our next trip through.”

“To start off the atmosphere is very refreshing and upbeat. It also is very clean. I got the soft shell crab to start with and it was a great portion on top of being delicious. I also got the 3 fish sushi tacos and let me tell you, I am a sushi connoisseur and they were delightful. The tortillas were the perfect thinness and the flavors popped in the tacos. It was honestly everything I could want or except in a raw taco. Owner was very nice and enjoyed our conversation. I totally recommend this place!”

“Food always consists of plentiful portions served relatively fast. Great for families with kids. Service is pleasant...and there are great views of the Kinderhook creek from the back section. Can be a little noisy at prime meal times when it's crowded- hard on hearing aids...or those with hearing issues. (Off times are much quieter)”

“Stopped in for lunch. I am from outta state and wasn't expecting much, they blew me away the service was so wonderful very friendly and very good at there job. The prices are amazing (especially considering it's in NY where everything is overpriced) They have a huge menu with all the normal comfort foods but also have some things that's unique. I actually ordered Meatloaf Parm not only had I never tried it before but had never heard of it before. It was amazing and you get huge portions with a soup or salad . I recommend this place100%”

I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel compelled as the food was great, in large portions, and the pizza is something that I have not stopped thinking about. The waitress was incredibly friendly too and it added to the loving ambiance that comes the feeling of a family owned restaurant. It’s nice to see that a family business has been open for as long as it has! The salad’s were fresh, and thankfully they sell the dressing by the bottle because I kept wanting more. The decor could use some updating. The Grecian painting on the walls looks like it’s been there since the 80’s.”

“The atmosphere is really cute with rustic cars and decor. Our server was really friendly and made good suggestions for food.I got the mushroom soup, bibb lettuce salad, and potatoes gratin. I loved the soup and salad. I liked the potatoes for a few bites, but they could have been spiced more. My friends ordered the steak and the couscous and loved both. We got a few desserts (creme brulee, molten chocolate cake, and the special apple crumble crepe), and all of them were delicious.”
