Disappointing. Seemed like some of the seafood was frozen. Fried basket had 2 shrimp and mostly clam straps. The crabcake was meh. Not lump meat. The shrimp and grits were good. In fact, the grits were creamy and delicious.

One of those places where it is what it is. Good value. Host was welcoming. Food was good, a little salty some dishes. Enjoyed the whole branzino and brussel sprouts the most. Cocktail yummy, not too strong. Super clean bathroom which is always a plus. Granted we went during colder weather so flies were on vacay. I'd return, but could see the possiblity of experiencing what some of negative reviews mentioned if they were busy and during summer months. If in area... Why not check it out.

Such a fun indoor/outdoor restaurant! I've been here two times now & love It. Ordered the Cobb salad (It typically comes with avocado & blue cheese) & I added a crab cake. So good! I've also had their spicy crab dip & calamari - which are just delicious! They have a great happy hour too, serving yummy drinks. Need to come back & try a lobster roll!

Love my escape night with my hubby. What a breath of fresh air Bread & Brine is for those who don’t know. Felt like I was in one of my favorite seascape towns —— with the best crowd and authentic staff. Recommend the blood orange salty dog cocktail, oysters, crab cake and of course lobster roll - chilled

I went in to get a tasty side order of fried clams to go. The person who took my order said 10-15 minutes. I sat there and sat there and sat there and finally someone asked me the name on my order and promptly brought them out..... cold. The person who took my order then never bothered to check on them again. Lukewarm fried clams, all you taste is the grease.

Walked in at 7:30. It was stated place was closing at 8 pm but they would seat anyways (google says 9 pm). Average review was decent (should have looked at more recent ones before being seated). Ordered salad that came without dressing. I flagged waitress about wanting dressing. She suggested I was mistaken and there must be dressing. I tore apart my salad so she would believe me that I didn't have dressing. Shrimp cocktail was rubbery. I googled recent reviews while at my table. One recent reviewer complained to the wait staff that her to go order was thrown out with no apology or compensation. The waitress in that situation then began gossiping about the family to other staff in front of the customer. So I chose to say my food was okay without further complaint. I had a quick and expensive dinner, leaving within 45 minutes so they could close. Needless to say, I won't be back.

We stopped here post hike on a Saturday. They were busy, but found us a table. There were a few families with kids, couples, and guys having a guys night -- easy place with options for a few different palates. The grilled fish tacos (2) were fabulous and I would have been thrilled for more of these -- succulent and tasty. We each had a rice bowl -- one with shrimp (no soy egg) and the other with aki tuna with a soy egg. Both were fine. I wanted to try a few other things, but these choices seemed to sit well.
Can't go on vacations? no worries! You can dinner there and you will have the best of Maine coast! Great food!

Since this restaurant opened, under various configurations/names, I've been here many times. Recently, the food quality has declined and the indoor dining gnat problem is so awful that I will not return. The servers ignore the gnat issue to the point that they pretend is part of the decor! Disgusting and potentially a health risk!

Don't know if they're still doing it, but buck a shuck night was my family's favorite. Great oysters, great seafood, great ambiance. 4 stars cause the menu is kind of limited
