“I was on a business trip to Islip, up from Florida. I usually look for a sports bar when I travel and this was close to the holiday inn where I was staying. Great atmosphere, girls behind the bar were very efficient and helpful. I ordered the "Irish Nachos" after reading it had a shepherds pie topping. I'm originally from England and so this caught my attention. The food was amazing, plenty of it, delicious and well priced. I swilled it down with a great pint of Guinness. Plenty of TVs to watch sport and comedies and music videos. Highly recommend it.“

“The wife and I stopped in for date night during Bayshore restaurant week. It's a nice spot, cozy environment, table spread is a good distance away from the next, it's clean and comfortable. They do get busy so get there early or make a reservation. We had the seasonal spread and shoshito pepper appetizers which were both very good, lots of flavor. I ordered the Shrimp and grits and even though I've never been a grits eater, I was pleasantly surprised. The shrimp and grits was incredibly good and had a ton of flavor. I ordered a classic margarita which was executed perfectly and the wife enjoyed her salad and mocktails as well. I would highly recommend this place and am certainly going back! “Came here with a few friends on a Friday night as I heard it has a new owner. It’s a smaller place but is welcoming and nicely decorated. There were a bunch of other people there but the vibe was drinks with friends rather than loud/rowdy as some sports bars can get.Drinks and service were great! They have an impressive beer selection.We had the BBQ wings, red flatbread (which is actually a circular pizza and not a small rectangle as I’ve seen at other places), steak Gorgonzola Mac and chicken tenders. Everything was cooked really well and delicious! Gorgonzola and steak was a nice combo with the Mac and cheese. Chicken tenders were crunchy and very tender, clearly not something that was bought premade and frozen. Will definitely be back to try some other menu items and look forward to using their patio area in the warmer weather!Parking: They have a lot alongside the building, and plenty of street parking“

“The tap room is the best place to go. I love it there. The foods is great and the drinks are beyond the best. I had sagergia with all fruits In The drink. The best drink I've ever had, and mine you I don't drink, but this put me back to a drink I would love to have when you're out, have a great time. They had music with a plus. This will be my weekend getaway. It's wonderful. Clean and staff are amazing. This will be my tonite day ?“

“I'm a person of few words (Usually) , but I must say a few things that back up my description of Vchsning times. This establishment is top shelf ! Bar none ! The food was excellent ... corned beef was generously portioned and delicious. Hamburgers were great and fill your plate. The service is the just superb. The owner took time (note ...the place was packed) ... to introduce me to an Irish Whiskey ... by bringing me a sampler. ... which was great and because they were crowded ... you waited a bit, however, the waitress provided us with 2 full salad dishes on them for what turned out to be only a 5 minute delay. Even-though, the place is crowded, you can still enjoy an intimate conversation and feel very comfortable. Great place to dine! It's a great find!! Gene & Ellen“

“Went Saturday which was St Patrick's day eve ! We called ahead and a table was ready. The service from beginning to end was great. Friendly attentive and was just great. I loved the atmosphere where you can hang out by the bar watch games or even sit at high tops. The dining room was very comfortable for me but was a bit warm for my date especially with two drinks and hot delicious food Ordered from the specials and we both were not sure on the quesadilla but it was great! A little greasy for me but the tortilla still had crunch so it worked! I got an Irish mule which had ginger beer - yum & more newness! The Guinness beef was amazinggggg and I needed to substitute the mashed for broccoli to limit some carbs and calories. Broccoli was cooked perfect!“

“Had dinner at Jackson’s with a friend last night. Service was great, friendly, attentive but not annoying. Really comfortable vibe. We had the Thursday special, sandwich with two sides. We couldn’t decide on what to get so we split the blackened chicken and the blackened tuna. We both got Mac and cheese (get it). I got a salad and was super pleased that I was able to pick which one, not just a standard house/Caesar choice. My friend got the soups of the day that was loaded potato. She said it was awesome. I started with my half of tuna. It was fantastic! Cooked perfectly. Spicy slaw (not super spicy, just pleasantly flavorful). It was soooo good. It was also sooooo big. My half of a sandwich was enough for dinner. Going to have the chicken for lunch. In summation, great food, awesome service, fantastic vibe. Bonus, each night has a cool theme or special. Looking forward to trying trivia night on Wednesday!“
