“We are true Indian FOODIES!! Our whole family loves Indian food. We have tried every Indian restaurant from Long Island & parts of Florida! Kiran Palace is the Best!!!! I am so happy they have finally brought back their LUNCH BUFFET!!! They did it in such a way that no one else does, they have the buffet table set up & bring out tandoori chicken as well as other dishes FRESH to your table as much as you want so these dishes don’t become dried out or soggy!! ALSO, they change different dishes every day, so we usually go twice a week & it’s always fresh!!! The staff is super friendly & makes us always welcome! They even have their buffet on weekends! They are closed on Tuesday. In case I haven’t said enough, WE LOVE KIRAN PALACE!!!”

“I have to say, this place isn’t fully authentic being that the reviews from a Vietnamese person pointed out their differences and I thought the same. Missing the Vietnam wall clock! 😂

But this is the only Vietnamese restaurant in Long Island that serves Bun Bo Hue! I usually have to go all the way to Flushing Queens, Brooklyn or Manhattan for Bun Bo Hue. Brooklyn and Manhattan for Bun Rieu, but hey, not everyone serves it due to the complexity of the dish.

I have to give them an “A” for effort at least. Their Bun Bo Hue didn’t use the chili shrimp paste that gives it the spicy umami flavor and it is suppose to be a lemongrass broth. Most likely they used the pho beef broth and added some chili oil to it. The pork trotters weren’t as I expected either.

The Combination Pho was nice, the broth had a slightly smokey flavor to it, from what I noticed the day I tried it.

The grilled pork wasn’t pork slices, but were in strips.

The spring rolls were way overdone from the color of it and the filling tasted a bit dated and not the same from an authentic Vietnamese restaurant.

But overall no complaints from the family, which is an A in my book, being with how picky they are with the authenticity because I raised a bunch of food snobs!😂”

“Sunday night came for a quick dinner with my daughter. Cute small place nice decor. Great service, and personable. We got the shrimp gyoza, the sashimi platter appetizer, Sushi sandwich and spider roll. Everything was excellent, fresh and full of flavor, the sauce with the gyoza was amazing, and my daughter loved her rolls. Definitely check them out. Located at the CVS shopping center in Hicksville on Old Country Rd. Always support small mom and pop businesses such as this wonderful family.”

“Taste of Mumbai is unbelievably good. I've ordered takeout from them 1-2x per month for the last two years and I have NEVER had a meal that I would rate less than an A-. I'm just in awe of how good the food is every single time, and whenever I try something new on the menu I find something else that I love, to the point where now it takes me forever to decide what to order because there are so many amazing options! A few of my favorites are the Methi curry, Green Masala curry, Baigon Bhartha, and onion kulcha. The only downside so far has been that I wish there was more flexibility with spice levels as my wife has a low tolerance and is limited to specific dishes that are naturally very mild.
Overall, Taste of Mumbai has become one of my favorite restaurants and I cannot recommend them any higher.”

Love the variety of sauces that come to the table. And I’m obsessed with their mango juice.
